On the current episode of Al Bernstein Unplugged Al welcomes Curtis Hunt, head of House of Boxing Champions and former super welterweight champion Tony Harrison. The trio discusses the work that HOBC does in helping gyms serving amateur boxers.

The House of Boxing Champions helps provide safety equipment and grants for travel to tournaments for local gyms around the country. They are currently working with Tony Harrison’ Super Bad Fitness in Detroit. Curtis and Tony talk with Al on the show about a special event upcoming on Sept. 4 at Super Bad Fitness. Al Bernstein will travel there to be master of ceremonies for the afternoon. Harrison will also be on hand to meet and greet fans. There will be exhibition boxing, raffles to win boxing memorabilia, food and other activities. Undefeated Super Lightweight Sensation Omar Juárez Battles Argentina’s Elías Araujo in FOX PBC Fight Night Co-Main Event & on FOX Deportes This Saturday, Aprile 17 from Los Angeles

**SAN ANTONIO, TX.** (Aprile 14, 2021) – Undefeated super lightweight sensation **Omar “El Relampago”** **Juárez** will look to continue his ascent up the 140-pound rankings when he takes on Argentina’s **Elías “El Macho” Araujo** in a 10-round showdown that serves as the FOX PBC Fight Night co-main event and on FOX Deportes this Saturday, Aprile 17 from Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.

The 21-year-old Juarez (10-0, 5 KO) will return to action after a dominant 2020 that saw him add four victories to his resume. This included fighting to eight rounds for the first time, which he did twice in winning unanimous decisions over Dakota Linger and Willie Shaw.

“I had a great conversation with Ryan when (his co-head coach and former world champion) Vernon Phillips introduced us,” McCalman spoke about signing a managerial contract with Fighter Locker. “We met and he was someone who genuinely cares about his fighters. He made a point that his fighters are like family to him. I’ve seen in the short time I’ve known him that he puts his fighters in position to succeed. Honestly, I think that’s rare in boxing, and I really appreciate that about Ryan.”

“Shawn and I had a great conversation and we clicked right away,” Roach commented. “ It made sense for the two of us. It’s always exciting for me getting a new fighter and Shawn really has it all. He will be opposed by the 20-year-old Giron (13-1, 7 KO), who fights out of Queretaro, Mexico and is looking to rebound from a decision loss to unbeaten Michel Rivera in June.

Fighting out of Cebu City, Filippine, Tepora (23-0, 17 KO) will enter the ring for the second time in the U.S. a dicembre 21, after making a successful U.S. debut against Jose Luis Gallegos in June. The 24-year-old will take on Colombia’s Escandon (25-5, 17 KO), who fights for the first time since a loss to Brandon Figueroa last year at the same arena in Ontario. Escandon is a former interim titlist at featherweight and challenged Gary Russell Jr. for the featherweight championship in 2017.
