ATLANTIC CITY (Juni 12, 2017) — Het afgelopen Zaterdag, weltergewicht Thomas LaManna won an eight-round unanimous decision over veteran Carlos Winston Velasquez that headlined a card at Het Claridgehotel in Atlantic City.
The show was the 8th consecutive capacity capacity crowd promoted by Rising Promotions at the Claridge
LaManna dominated the action with power shots that he landed behind a long jab throughout the contest. Velasquez was game as he took a lot of shots and landed an occasional power shot. LaManna sealed the deal in the final round when he landed a flush 4-punch combination that put Velasquez on the canvas.
LaManna van Millville, NJ won on all cards by scores of 80-71 om zijn stempel te verhogen 23-2. Velasquez falls to 24-29-2.
“Velasquez was tough and durable,”said LaManna following the fight.
“I needed this fight, and now I would like to fight Kermit Cintron if he should win his fight with Tyrone Brunson on 24 juni. Young was extremely active as he landed hard combinations with Sosa landing an occasional hard shot to the head.

Gabriël Pham won a six round unanimous decision over Edgar Perez in a light heavyweight bout.
Pham won on all cards 60-54 en is nu 9-1. Perez of Chicago is 7-21.
Tomas Romain won a four round unanimous decision over Lamont White in a lightweight bout.

Romain of Brooklyn, NY won met scores van 40-36 tweemaal en 39-37, en is nu 3-1. White of Washington, DC is now 1-8.

Elijah Vines remained perfect with a 3rd round stoppage over Harry Tyrone Paige in a scheduled four round junior middleweight bout.

In ronde één, Vines dropped Paige with a perfect right hook. In ronde drie, Vines dropped Paige with a right to the body. Paige got to his feet, but his corner pulled the plug at 1:42.

Vines of Philadelphia is 4-0 met 4 knock-outs. Paige of Batesville, ARK is 0-5.

Frederick Julan stopped Jose Valderrama in the 6th and final round of their light heavyweight bout.

Julan dropped Valderrama in round six with a body shot. Julan finished off the when he dropped Valderrama for a 2nd time with a right hook to the head, en de strijd werd gestopt bij 1:17.

Julan of Brooklyn, NY is 5-0 met drie knock-outs. Valderrama of Manati, PR is 5-20.

Dan Pasciolla and LeMarcus Tucker battled to a majority draw in a rematch of Heavyweights.

Pasciolla took a card 58-56. That was overruled by 57-57 scores.

Pasciolla of Brick, NJ is 9-2-3. Tucker of Batesville, ARK is 4-2-1.

Atlantic City, NJ (Juni 8, 2017)–Weltergewicht mededinger, Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna feels that he is on the brink of a breakthrough win, and he is looking to fight a big name later this Summer that will help catapult himself up the rankings, and on his way to a world title shot.

LaManna, 22-2 with nine knockouts of Millville, New Jersey, will be looking for his 2nd consecutive win, and a win over Velasquez would set up a coveted fight with highly thought of foe.
“I am looking forward to a great fight on Saturday. I am not taking Velasquez lightly as he is a tough veteran who has had 54 gevechten,” zei LaManna. “After I win, I want something big. Myself and Rising Promotions have regional title bouts in mind. Fights with Zab Judah and Kermit Cintron have been brought up. The ultimate goal is to get world rated, and climb up the ladder with meaningful fights that I would like to take place in Atlantic City.”
“Because I have two losses, I get calls all the time to be an opponent. I don’t look at myself as being one. I am one of the biggest, if not the biggest tickets seller in New Jersey, with a tremendous fan base, and myself and my Rising Promotions team would like to capitalize on that and move me along like a real promotional company is supposed to move a fighter. Atlantic City is a great fight town, and I think that we can bring the type of bouts back to the boardwalk that made this town the mecca of boxing that it once was. I think a fight with a big name opponent later this Summer would create great buzz in the Atlantic City boxing scene, and it would keep me moving towards my goal of being a world champion.”

Atlantic City, NJ (Juni 7, 2017)–Super middengewicht Gabriël Pham (8-1, 4 KO's) will look for his 3rd consecutive victory when he takes on veteran Edgar Perez in a bout scheduled for six-rounds that will be part of a packed undercard deze zaterdag nacht bij Het Claridgehotel in Atlantic City

Sinds hij zijn enige beroepsfout heeft geleden, de 28 year-old Pham of Atlantic City, New Jersey has stopped his two previous opponents.
Pham believes he will only get better as his trainer, Chuck Eisenbeis will be back in his corner after being absent from Pham’s last couple of bouts.
“It is good to have him back. He taught me everything that I know,” said Pham. “We have been working on footwork, and my jab. I have seen the improvement everyday. Chuck has been working with some UFC fighters and it is great to have him back.”
In Perez he is taking on a durable fighter, who has faced many top prospects, 13 undefeated fighters and a world champion in Jermall Charlo.
“He is a Puerto Rican. I know he is tough as I am Puerto Rican as well. Hij heeft 27 gevechten, so that is three-times more than I have. He is experienced and he goes rounds for the most part. I have seen some film where can be slick, so I have to be cautious of that. I have been working hard, so I am confident that I will get the job done.”

I don’t go in looking for it, but if I see that I have him staggered or hurt, I will try to get him out of there.”

Atlantic City, NJ (Juni 6, 2017)–Popular native son, weltergewicht Anthony “Sap” Jong will look for his 6th consecutive win when he battles hard-hitting George Sosa in the eight-round co-feature deze zaterdag night at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
The show is promoted by Rising Promotions.

Young van Atlantic City heeft een record van 16-2 with six knockouts has won five in a row was given the task of fighting Sosa on two weeks notice. Young was training for an all-New Jersey showdown with Juan “Het Beest” Rodriguez, Jr. but Rodriguez had to pull out due to an injury.
“My camp has been great. Sosa is a late-replacement, but that really does not matter, because I was preparing for whoever,”zei de 29 year-old Young.
Young knows that Sosa is a big puncher, but feels he is a different fighter outside of his home-country of the Dominican Republic.
“Sosa has 15 wins, and I know he has all of his victories by knockout. But he was matched lightly when he fought in the Dominican Republic. It doesn’t matter what he will bring, because I have been preparing for him like he is Floyd Mayweather.”
Young has been preparing in New Jersey under the tutelage of trainer, Raul “Chino” Rivas. Young is in a camp that includes recent world champion Jason Sosa, top contender Tevin Farmer and lightweight contender Michael Perez among others, and Young feels that the switch of trainers, which mirrors this win streak is no coincidence.
“Chino has fixed a lot of my bad habits. He has me working on the jab, pivoting, and working the body. Since moving to Chino, I have improved with every fight.”
This will be the 10th appearance on the Boardwalk for Young, and he will look to his mark to 9-1 in Atlantic City (Young is 2-0 bij De Claridge).

Sosa of New Jersey has a record of 15-8 with all 15 wins coming via knockout.

Atlantic City, NJ (Mei 31, 2017)–Weltergewicht mededinger Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna will take on 54-fight veteran Carlos Winston Velasquez in the main event of of a stacked card on Zaterdag, 10 juni bij Het Claridgehotel in Atlantic City.
The show is promoted by Rising Promotions.
LaManna van Millville, New Jersey will compete in a bout scheduled for eight-rounds.
De 25 year-old LaManna has a record of 22-2 met negen knockouts.
This will be LaManna’s 5th appearance at The Claridge, and 15th start in Atlantic City.
“I have something big planned for the rest of 2017, but I have to handle Velasquez first. I’m talking meaningful titles against meaningful names. I want to keep fighting guys with the experience this way going in to another big fight, I know I’ll be 100%.,” zei LaManna
“Camp has been awesome with coach Charles Johnson, coach Vince Jackson and Strength and Conditioning with former IBF Cruiserweight Champion Imamu Mayfield.”
“We are looking for another great night at The Claridge,” said Debbie LaManna of Rising Promotions. “We continue to put on great shows, and June 10th will be no different. We feel that the momentum of our shows is starting to help the restoration of boxing in Atlantic City.”
“After Thomas gets through this fight, We will are going to be looking for a regional title belt in one of the the four recognized organizations. If we win that and defend that a couple of times and move through the ratings of the sanctioning bodies, Thomas can earn himself a world title shot,” said Vinny LaManna.
Velasquez of Managua, Nicaragua has a record of 24-28-2 met 15 knock-outs.
De 37 year-old Velasquez has been a professional since 2005, and has some quality wins on his resume over Danilo Moises Solis (18-1), Maisael Castillo (20-0).
Velasquez has also been in the ring with former world champion Jose Alfaro (21-4), former world title challengers Daniel Estrada (17-1), Michele Di Rocco (25-1-1), Petr Petrov (24-2-2), Matt Zegan (38-5), Rene Gonzalez (28-4-1), Luis Cruz (20-2) & Hank Lundy (25-5-1) as well as contenders Luciano Cuello (25-1), Aaron Herrera (20-0), Mahonry Montes (22-0-1), Adrian Granados (12-2-1) & Dusty Hernandez Harrison (26-0).

LaManna won his first 16 uiteinden, where enjoyed wins over Ashanti Gibbs and Jamaal Davis.
After suffering his first professional defeat to undefeated middleweight prospect Antoine Douglas, LaManna ripped off five consecutive victories that was highlighted by by a 4th round stoppage over Kendal Mena (20-3).
Op september 15, 2016, LaManna engaged in a hotly contested bout with undefeated Dusty Hernandez Harrison in Philadelphia. De bout, which was for the USBA Welterweight title was a close fight and LaManna fought well, but came up just short via unanimous decision.
LaManna will be looking for his 2nd consecutive victory, as in his last bout, he won a one-sided eight round unanimous decision over Ecuadorian veteran Eduardo Flores on January 28th bij De Claridge.
This will be LaManna’s 5th appearance, and 15th start in Atlantic City.

Atlantic City, NJ (Januari 30, 2017)–Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna looked sharp as he pitched a shutout, and won a 8-round unanimous decision over Eduardo Flores in front of a capacity crowd at the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
The fight was the 6th consecutive sellout crowd at the venue under the Rising Promotions banner.

LaManna used his length, and was effective with his jab as he set up solid body work with both hands and came upstairs to befuddle the 53-fight veteran.

LaManna settled into a groove in the middle rounds, and showed confidence in his punches. LaManna did a nice job mixing up his boxing and his willingness to trade on the inside, for which he got the better of the action on both accounts.
“I felt great being back in the ring. My last fight definitely taught me a lot about myself and what I could do, and I used it in this fight. This guy is tough man, I had him hurt quite a few times with both body and head shots but he somehow survived,” zei LaManna.
LaManna van Millville, New Jersey won by scores of 80-72 op alle kaarten en is nu 22-2. Flores of Quito, Ecuador falls to 25-25-3.

Michael Mitchell scored an upset by out-hustling Chuck Mussachio over 6-rounds of their light heavyweight bout, and gaining a majority decision victory.

Mitchell buckled and wobbled Mussachio, who was on the defensive throughout the contest. Mussachio was able to land an occasional jab and uppercut, but Mitchell swarmed the popular “Professor” as he was relentless in smothering and battering Mussachio against the ropes.

Mitchell van Paterson, New Jersey won by scores of 60-53, 58-56 and one card read even at 57-57.

Mitchell is 4-7-2. Mussachio of Wildwood, NJ is 19-4-2.

Gabriël Pham scored a sensational 2nd round stoppage over Jose Valderrama in a scheduled 6-round super middleweight bout.

Pham landed a perfect left that sent Valdrrama thudding to the canvas. Valderrama got up but the bout was waved off a 2:50.

Pham of Pleasantville, NJ is 7-1 met 3 knock-outs. Valderrama of Manati, PR is 5-18.

Yurik Mamedov remained perfect by stopping pro debuting Jose Jimenez in round two of their scheduled 4-round welterweight bout.

Mamedov scored 2 knockdowns in round two and the bout was stopped upon the 2nd knockdown at 2:59 van de tweede ronde.

Mamedov of Brooklyn, NY is 4-0 met 2 knock-outs.

Nahir Albright won a 4-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Dan Murray in a junior welterweight bout.

Albright of Philadelphia won by scores of 40-36 op alle kaarten en is nu 1-1. Murray of Lanoka, Harbor, NJ is 1-1.

Weusi Johnson won a 4-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Dallas Holden in a bantamweight bout.

Johnson of Wilmington, DE gewonnen door scores van 40-36 tweemaal en 39-37 en is nu 2-2. Holden of Atlantic City is 1-1.

Tomas Romain won a 4-round unanimous decision over Jamil Simmons in a lightweight bout.

Romani of Brooklyn won by scores of 39-37 op alle kaarten en is nu 1-1. Simmons of Pleasantville, NJ was making his pro debut.
Rising Promotions will stage it’s next event on Zaterdag, 11 maart in het Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City. Former Cruiserweight world champion Imamu Mayfield will take part in the main event.

Atlantic City, NJ (Januari 26, 2017) -Local favorites Chuck “De Professor” Mussachio en Gabriël Pham will see action in separate bouts that will highlight an outstanding undercard deze zaterdag nacht bij Het Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
De kaart, which is promoted by Rising Promotions will feature,Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna taking on Eduardo Flores un a junior middleweight bout scheduled for eight rounds.
Mussachio (19-3-2, 5 KO's) of Wildwood, NJ neemt Michael Mitchell (3-7-2, 1 KO) van Paterson, NJ in een licht zwaargewicht gevecht, while Pham (6-1, 2 KO's) van Pleasantville, NJ-gevechten Jose Valderrama (5-17, 3 KO's) of Manati, Puerto Rico in a super middleweight bout.
Mussachio, who won a unanimous decision over Willis Lockett last May 27th. That nout was his first bout after a three-plus year off.
“I tried to get away from boxing, but something brought me back,” said Mussachio. “I am happy to be on a card back in Atlantic City.”
This will be Mussachio’s 17th fight in Atlantic City.
Pham is on the rebound following his loss to Christopher Brooker on Last July 9th in Trenton, New Jersey.
Like most fighters, Pham chalked up the loss to Brooker as a learning experience.
“Ik heb echt hard trainen. What I learned in the Brooker fight is that I always need to be in shape. The skills don’t leave you, but I need to stay in shape. I am just 27, so I need to take a nice slow progress. It is always nice to fight home. I don;t know much about Valderrama other then he is a journeyman and he won’t give up.”

Atlantic City, NJ (Januari 25, 2017) – Deze zaterdag nacht bij Het Claridgehotel,Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna will take on battle tested Eduardo Flores in a junior middleweight bout that will headline an eight-bout card.
The card is promoted by Rising Promotions
LaManna van Millville, New Jersey heeft een record van 21-2 met 9 knock-outs, and wants to avenge his September 15th defeat to Dusty Hernandez Harrison. But first he must get past the 52 fight veteran Flores.
“Flores has been in with numerous world champions,” said LaManna of Flores, who has competed with the likes of Kermit Cintron Carlos Baldomir and Diego Chaves. “He is a rugged veteran, and has only been stopped a handful of times, and the last time that happened, he was fighting a middleweight. He will come to fight. I am looking to one-up all the champions that he has fought.”
To do that, LaManna is looking to take a relaxed approach, and he is not going into the fight looking for a knockout.
“I believe in my boxing skills, ring generalship and I will get the job done. I plan a smart 8 rondes van het boksen. It will be exciting because it will be packed inside The Claridge. I am looking to get this win and get back to a rematch with Dusty. Even though this fight is at junior middleweight, I am a welterweight, and I want that rematch.”
“I had an amazing training camp. The loss to Harrison made me hungrier, and that has motivated me even more than before.”
This will be LaManna’s fourth appearance at the Claridge. This will be ths 6th sold-out show and LaManna’s relationship with the hotel is helping a rebirth of boxing in Atlantic City.
