TUNICA, MS (Mars 13, 2017) – Ósigraður ljós þungavigtar horfur Ahmed Elbiali is prepared for another opportunity to keep his perfect record intact as he faces Brazil’s Jackson Junior in an eight-round fight featured on Premier Boxing Champions TOE-TO-TOETUESDAYS on FS1 & Boxing Champions á Fox Deportes Þriðjudagur, Mars 14.
Sjónvarpað umfjöllun hefst á 9 p.m. OG/6 p.m. PT from the Fitz Tunica Casino & Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi and is headlined by rising middleweight contender Sergiy Derevyanchenko battling unbeaten Kemahl Russell í 10-umferð lota.
Miðar á viðburð í beinni, sem er kynntur með TGB Tilboð, byrja á $20, og eru á sölu núna. Tickets can be purchased at the Fitz Gift Shop, á www.ticketmaster.com eða með því að hringja Ticketmaster á 800-745-3000.
Here is what Elbiali had to say ahead of the showdown:
On fighting on FS1
It’s a great situation to be fighting on national television, especially FS1. TOE-til-tá þriðjudögum has been great for all boxers who are fortunate enough to be showcased. I’m just grateful for the opportunity and everyone tuning in will see me throwing a lot of big shots.
On his current training camp
It’s been a real smooth camp going into this fight. I’m back training in Miami with my coach Carlos Albuerae. When I moved to Las Vegas, we had temporally split up, but now we are back together, stronger than ever.
On facing opponent Jackson Junior
Jackson Junior is a big puncher, as am I, so expect to see some hard blows being traded. Although he’s had more fights then me, I feel I’m on another level. I know he’s coming to knock me out, but I have other plans. He will not be taken lightly.
On continuing his run to a world title
If I want to continue marching up the rankings, coming out victorious against Junior is crucial. The ultimate goal is to win a world title, and I’m going to do everything in my power to get there. This fight is the next step toward achieving that goal. I’m not leaving any stone unturned.
On bouncing back from an injured hand
It was a difficult time for me being out of the ring for over a year with my hand injury. The good news is I’m 100% healthy and my hand feels great. I had a lot of time to reflect on what I need to improve on so that’s what I focused on while I was out. I stayed in great shape the whole time. I just want to get in the ring and shake off the rust.

Unbeaten Sergiy Derevyanchenko Dominates Former Champion Sam Soliman on His Way to Second-Round Stoppage In PBC on ESPN & ESPN Deportes Main Event Thursday Night From Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT

Mashantucket, CT (Júlí 21, 2016) – Unbeaten rising middleweight SergiyThe Technician” Derevyanchenko (9-0, 7 Kos) slegið niður Er “King” Soliman(44-14, 18 Kos) three times before stopping the former world champion in the second round of the main event of Premier Boxing Champions á ESPN and ESPN Deportes Thursday night from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT.
A 2008 Ukranian Olympian, Derevyanchenko was in control from the start, standing his ground and delivering smart shots as Soliman attempted to flummox him with movement and awkward angles.
Soliman got caught with a missile right hand from Derevyanchenko that landed right on the chin and sent the off-balance Australian to the canvas. Soliman didn’t appear hurt however, as he continued to come forward to try to disrupt and frustrate the undefeated fighter.
Derevyanchenko continued to land effective shots and caught Soliman off-balance again in round two, this time with a left hook that put Soliman on the ground. Soliman again got to his feet but Derevyanchenko quickly stunned Soliman and put him into survival mode.
Soliman tried to tie up and avoid Derevyanchenko, but eventually the undefeated fighter training, who trains in Brooklyn, landed several right hands before a sweeping left hook sent Soliman to the ground hard and for the final time of the night. Referee Johnny Callas waved the fight off at 2:41 af annarri umferð.
The opening bout of the evening saw hard-hitting Ievgen Khytrov (13-0, 11 Kos) lay a non-stop attack on Paul Mendez (19-3-2, 9 Kos) before eventually earning a stoppage in the ninth-round of their middleweight matchup.
Khytrov and Mendez went toe-to-toe from the first-round, exchanging flurries and showing a willingness to stand in front of their opponent. It was Khytrov who showed the more varied attack while getting out to a fast start and landing 50 percent of his power punches over the first three rounds.
Mendez stood tough and continued throwing punches, but was unable to land anything that bothered Khytrov. The Ukranian-born fighter who trains in Brooklyn attacked the body early while dazing Mendez with uppercuts and power hooks. Rounds seven and eight saw Khytrov increase his attack as he seemingly landed power punches at will.
The fight continued in that one-sided manner throughout the opening minute of round nine. Sensing an opportunity, Khytrov cornered Mendez and hit him with a series of unanswered hooks that forced referee Joe Lupino to stop the fight, at the recommendation of the ringside physician, 1:20 í umferð. Khytrov ended the fight with a 482-125 advantage in punches landed while landing 50 percent of his total shots.
Hér er það sem bardagamenn þurfti að segja fimmtudaginn:
SERGIY DEREVYANCHENKO
I looked into his eyes after I knocked him down the first time and I knew he would continue coming forward. I wasn’t going to drop my guard. I didn’t even feel that punch on my glove because it was so clean to the chin. But I felt the final punch.
I warmed up more than once and that broke my rhythm. In the ring I had to get my rhythm.
Soliman came out nervous and not very coordinated, but that’s the way he usually fights. That’s his style.
I’m going to keep moving forward. I can’t sit and wait. We will assess the situation and move from here.
SAM Soliman
I’m doing well. I didn’t get to warm up, just a couple of minutes, but that’s no excuse. He did his job. That’s never happened before to me.
He’s a good boxer who did what he had to do. Ég get ekki tekið neitt í burtu frá honum.
After every fight, fighters have to decide what to do next. I have a lot outside of boxing that makes me happy, and it takes the sting out of tonight.
IEVGEN KHYTROV
I love to fight and battle and go toe-to-toe. I executed the game plan. My defense was much better and I’ve worked hard on my defense. This was my best fight because that guy stood and fought, he didn’t run.
I wasn’t surprised that Mendez took so many punches because I didn’t throw every punch hard, I mixed it up, but did throw some hard punches.
I want a couple more fights then I want to fight for the world title. That’s what I’ve worked so hard to do. I’m not going to dodge anybody. I want to fight Gennady Golovkin and take his belts.

Mashantucket, CT (Júlí 19, 2016) — Connecticut may not have equal status with New York City or Las Vegas in terms of being a fight capital, but the Nutmeg State has produced five Hall-of-Famers with Foxwoods Resort Casino, located in Mashantucket, CT, hosting many of the sport’s greatest fighters and fights over the past two decades.

A close second place is the 2003 BWAA Fight of the Year, in which future Hall-of-FamerJames Toney (65-4-2) won a 12-round decision over reigning IBF cruiserweight champion Vassiliy Jirov. The action started days earlier at the pre-fight press conference when a skirmish erupted as tables were overturned and glasses thrown. Í 2004, New England favorite Scott “The SandmanPemberton, hailing from nearby New Bedford, MA, was involved in a great 12th umferð, come-from-behind knockout of always-tough Omar Sheika in a rematch of a previous draw, for a regional super middleweight title.

NIGHT OF KNOCKOUTS FEATURED ON PREMIER BOXING CHAMPIONS TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS ON FS1 & Box meistarar á Fox Sports

LIPINETS, DEREVYANCHENKO AND WATTS VICTORIOUS
FROM ROBINSON RANCHERIA RESORT & CASINO
IN NICE, CALIFORNIA
NICE, CALIF. (Mars 15, 2016) – Unbeaten junior welterweight Sergey Lipinets (9-0, 7 Kos) of Martuk, Kazakhstan thrilled the packed venue at the Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino in Nice, California á þriðjudag night with a dramatic fifth-round knockout of Levan “The Wolf” Ghvamichava (16-2-1, 12 Kos) í aðalkeppni á Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) TOE-til-tá þriðjudögum á FS1 og Boxing Champions á Fox Deportes.
Stalking Ghvamichava from the opening bell, Lipinets found success with a range-finding jab combined with methodical and effective power shots to offset his opponentsinconsistent attack.
Closing the gaps even narrower between himself and Ghvamichava, Lipinets continued to successfully walk down the Georgian (Rússland) native in the fourth round who was unable to avoid the punishing assault.
Lipinets struck gold in the fifth, dropping Ghvamichava with a brutal left hand to the body resulting in a knockout victory at the 1:40 mark of the round. Skorar á þeim tíma sem stöðvaður var 39-37 og 38-38 twice for the scheduled ten-rounder.
About the win, Lipinets said, “I’m really happy with the victory. We worked hard on that shot with my trainer. We knew we could wait and use that right hand at the right time and take it straight to the body.
He’s a very strong, physical opponent. It was a real challenge to get him to where I wanted him. I wanted to get inside and use my speed. It was hard in the beginning to pick him apart, but we were able to get into a rhythm.
I want to keep going up from here. I think I proved myself kvöld that I belong at this level.
Said a disappointed Ghvamichava, “Things were going according to my game plan. I ended up getting caught with a shot. I recovered and then he threw that big body shot and it sucked the life out of me.
The rounds were competitive, but I felt like I was winning. I knew I had to keep my jab on him to keep him at bay. I knew he had a strong right hand, but he started to back up and I had never seen him do that so it threw me off.
You don’t expect to be knocked out. We were letting the fight come to me and I thought I was going to be able to stun him, but he has explosive power. I should have been more cautious. I am going to learn from this experience.
Co-featured on the telecast Ukrainian Sergiy Derevyanchenko, (8-0 6Rothögg), now fighting out of Brooklyn, New York, impressed with with an eighth-round knockout of thetough-as-nails Mike Guy, (8-2-1 4Rothögg).
Fighting evenly over the first half of the scheduled eight rounder, Derevyanchenko found his range in the second half utilizing massive left hooks to the body to slow down the Sacramento, California native.
Sensing a finish in the final round, Derevyanchenko drilled Guy to the canvas at the midway point of the stanza and again shortly thereafter. Although Guy beat the count, the ensuing flurry from Derevyanchenko caused a halt to the bout by referee Michael Margado at the 2:24 merkja.
Skorar á þeim tíma sem stöðvaður var 70-63 og 69-64 tvisvar.
Stated Derevyanchenko, “I wasn’t surprised he was so tough. I’ve never seen any of his fights, but I didn’t think it was going to be an easy fight.
His style was awkward. It was hard to tell where his punches were going to come from.
I didn’t pick a specific round that I wanted to knock him out. I just finally picked him apart in the sixth round and then again in the eighth.
In the opening bout of the Premier Boxing Champions onFOX and FOX Deportes”, undefeated welterweight, Kevin Watts of nearby Lancaster, California, batnað til 11-0 with four knockouts with a dominant fifth round stoppage of Michael Chudecki, (11-3-1 3Rothögg), of Pozman, Pólland.
Using his superior skills and hand speed, Watts built an early lead sweeping the first four rounds while displaying his full array of punches.
Dropping the valiant Pole early in the fifth stanza, Watts was awarded the stoppage victory as referee Edward Collantes called a halt at the 2:01 merkja. Scores at the time of the finish were 39-37 on all three judge’s scorecards.
Said the victorious Watts, “Ég er svo glaður, but I knew I was going to get that win. I train too hard to lose. All I think about is winning. I’ve got too many people rooting for me to fail.
I knew I was going to get the KO, but I was happy it was in the fifth round. I actually thought he was going to make it to the sixth because I didn’t think I hurt him as bad as I did in the fourth.
When he went down, I knew it wasn’t a slip. Usually when a drop is ruled a slip, you know it, but that was definitely a knock down. He could barely get back up and after that he just kept backing up and backing up and I took advantage of that.
Not sure what is exactly next, but I do know I’ll be ready.

Galarza (17-1-2, 11 Kos), hver var að berjast fyrir fjórða tíma sínum áShoBox og studdi gegn tiltölulega óþekkt Hurd, varð 136th bardagamaður að þjást fyrsta tap hans á horfur þroska röð. Vídeó hápunktur: http://s.sho.com/1NTILdM

Hurd (17-0, 11 Kos) var skarpari, more accurate fighter from the opening bell against the largely stationary Galarza. Hurd floored Galarza with a huge right uppercut –his favorite weapon– with less than 30 sekúndur eftir í fjórða, knocking “The Brooklyn Rocky” down for the first time in his career. Galarza made it to the bell, en var greinilega sárt og aldrei batna.

Hurd, af Accokeek, Md., blasted GALARZA með öðru stóru uppercut í sjötta, forcing a clearly finished Galarza to turn his body away in defeat. Referee Russell Mora had seen enough and stepped in to stop the bout at :59.

"Ég vissi að hann var reyndur, sterkur bardagamaður, en ég festist við leik áætlun mína, hlustaði á horninu mínu og kom út sigur,” Hurd said. “Once I was able to set up my counter shots, Ég vissi að ég

gæti sært hann.

This was my first time on national TV and I knew how important it was to be successful. I’d like to fight again soon, hopefully early in 2016. I’m ready to take my next step.”

Galarza lofað að vera kominn aftur eftir alger ósigur.

"Ég þjórfé hatt minn burt til Hurd, Hann var betri maður í kvöld,” Galarza said. “I didn’t fight my fight and he did. This type of stuff happens in our sport. I’m disappointed in my performance, en merkja orð mín ég kem aftur, betri og sterkari en nokkru sinni fyrr. "

"Það er alger blása til starfsframa Galarza er,"Sagði ShoBox analyst Steve Farhood. “Because of his late start in boxing and his age, he can’t afford a loss like this. After the first round, hann hafi ekki sýnt neinar breytingar og missti af síðari umferð.

"Með því að segja, sagan er augljóslega Jarret Hurd, sem hafði ekki barist á háu stigi andstöðu koma í, en fastur með hljóð leik áætlun, executed it well and showed no nerves in his national television debut. He made a name for himself in stopping a legitimate tough guy in ‘The Brooklyn Rocky.’”

The durable Nicklow, sem tók berjast á stuttum fyrirvara, could do nothing against the former Ukrainian amateur standout. In the third, Derevyanchenko backed Nicklow (25-8-3, 8 Kos) gegn reipi og hrundu röð refsa skot gegn varnarlaust andstæðingi, þvingunar dómarinn Jay Nady að stíga í og stöðva keppnina á 2:18 af þriðja.

"Þetta var frábær frammistaða hjá mér,” Derevyanchenko said. “Jessie was a very tough opponent. I feel like I showed another element to my game tonight. No one has done to Jessie what I did to him tonight.

"Ég er að bæta í hvert skipti og mér finnst eins og ég verði tilbúinn fyrir titli skot í lok 2016."

Romero got up, but Benavidez continued to pepper Romero and floored him again with a left hook to the body. Ramirez again beat the count, en stóð aðeins nokkrar sekúndur áður en Benavidez lokið hann burt með þessum þriðja knockdown í aðeins tvær mínútur.

“Ég veit hversu sterkt líkami skot mín eru og ég vissi að þeir myndu skila árangri,” Benavidez said. “I wanted to make a great impression in my first nationally televised fight. I’m ready to get back in the ring gain as soon as possible.

“Mér finnst gott að það var frábært að vera kominn aftur í hringinn aftur,” Stiverne said. “Ég var ekki ryðgaður, but maybe I sparred too much in the gym. He was a tough guy. The knockdown was more of a flash knockdown. It was a good punch, en ég var svolítið utan efnahagsreiknings, of.

"Ég er tilbúinn til að komast aftur í hringinn fljótlega og vinna leið mína aftur til að verða heimsmeistari aftur.”
