CASEY “LADY HAWAIIAN PUNCH” MORTON RETAINS WBO ASIA PACIFIC FLYWEIGHT TITLE WITH SPLIT DECISION

San Francisco, MONGA (March 26, 2019) – Last night at the Okada Manila Hotel and Casino in Paranaque City, Philippines, Prince Ranch Boxing’s female flyweight Casey “Lady Hawaiian Punch” Morton (8-1-3, 1 KO), retained her WBO Asia Pacific title with a split decision victory over Japan’s Chie Higano (8-8-1, 2 Ko). Scorecards read 94-96 for Higano and 97-93, 96-94 for Morton.

“I felt good to come back down to flyweight,” said Casey Morton, “I feel this is the weight where I can make my run toward a world title. Higano was a very tough opponent and I have a lot of respect for her. It’s very difficult to get a win overseas but I was able to do it. Now my goal is to capture the WBO world title. I’m hoping to get my shot by the end of the year.”

“Casey is a natural flyweight and she is best when fighting at this weigh,” said manager Greg Hannley aPrince munda nkhonya. “For her to go to the Philippines and pull off another monumental win is just amazing. A world title shot in 2019 is something I can see happening. I know she is ready to become a world champion.”

Morton, who is trained by Nonito Donaire Sr., feels she has the perfect team in place to take her career to the next level.

San Francisco, MONGA (December 11, 2018) – Undefeated female super flyweight Casey “Lady Hawaiian Punch” Morton (7-0-3 1KO), will be fighting for her second title as she faces Jutamas Jitpong (4-2 2Ko) for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Female Super Flyweight Title. The 10-round bout will take place this Saturday, December 8th, at the Yubei Sport Center in Yubei, China.


“I am excited to fight for my second WBO Asia Pacific Female title!” said Casey Morton. “I won the WBO Asia Pacific flyweight title earlier this year, so to get another title before the year over is a dream come true. San Francisco, MONGA (June 12, 2018) – Today unbeaten WBC Youth and USBA Lightweight champion, Wavin “The Dream” Haney (19-0, 13 Ko), will be a special guest speaker at the Booker T. Washington Community Center mu San Francisco, MONGA. Devin is looking forward to sharing his story of being a system described problem child at Booker T. Washington.

 

 

 

Devin will be speaking on the importance of setting goals, being positive under adversity, remaining humble, staying out of trouble, eating a well-balanced diet, ntchito mwakhama, and becoming a young champion.

 

 

 

“Speaking to the kids at the Booker T. Washington community center today holds a special place in my heart. I spent a lot of time at Booker T. and know what it’s like to be characterized a troubled kid,” said Devin Haney. “I want to let these kids know that with hard work and discipline, one can become successful at anything they put their mind to. Just because a kid might be labeled troubled at a young age, doesn’t mean it has to stay that way. It’s an honor to be giving back to the organization that helped me find my way as a young youth.”

 

 

 

The Booker T. Washington Community Service Center provides a variety of programming for school aged students. The activities range from after-school academic coaching to enrichment classes.

FELIPE GOMEZ SIGNS ELIO ROJAS TO MANAGEMENT CONTRACT

New York (April 14, 2017)-Boxing manager Felipe Gomez is proud to announce the signing of former world champion Elio Rojas to a managerial contract.

Elio Rojas who hails from San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic ali ndi mbiri 24-3, ndi 14 Umapeza kubwera mwa njira ya knockout.

Rojas won the WBC World Featherweight Title with a 12-round unanimous decision over Takahiro Ao (17-1-1) in Ao’s hometown in Tokyo, Japan. If he can get back down to his natural weight which is 126-130 mapaundi, I know he can beat a lot of good fighters,” said Gomez. “I am excited to be part of his career because I know he still has a lot of fight in him and he can become a world champion again.”

Elios Rojas is training at the famous Gleason Gym in Brooklyn, New York with former world champion Joan Guzman.

Felipe Gomez, formerly of New Legend Boxing, has given up his promoter’s license to become a boxing manager. His recent signings include: Middleweight veteran Giovanni Lorenzo, Middleweight DeVaun Lee, Welterweight Cesar Francis and several other up and coming prospects residing in the Dominican Republic.
