MARIO BARRIOS DOMINATES IN 2016 DEBUT

BROOKLYN, NY (April 16, 2016) – IBF #15 super-featherweight ranked contender,Mario Barrios, remained undefeated with a dominating unanimous decision victory over Edgar Gabejan (26-33-6, 9 KO) a veteran of over 500 ronds, zijn record verbeteren (15-0, 8 KO).
Buurten, who hails from San Antonio, TX, came out guns blazing, dropping Gabejan in round one. Towering over his opponent, Buurten, who stands over six feet tall, used his height and reach to perfection as he landed precise punches throughout the remainder of the fight. SAN ANTONIO, TX (December 24, 2015) – Yesterday hot undefeated super-featherweight prospect, Mario Barrios (14-0, 8 KO), joined the Christmas spirit by donating gifts to the local boys and girls club in San Antonio. Buurten, along with cornerman Rick Nunez, delivered shoes and toys to the kids, brining smiles to everyone involved.
“It was great to see the smiles on all the kids when Rick and I dropped off the gifts,” Said Mario Barrios. “I know there are a lot of kids out there that don’t get to receive many gifts during Christmas so it was nice to provide something extra for these children. It was fun and everyone was happy.”
“Mario Barrios has a big heart and he’s a great role model to everyone out here in San Antonio.” said Rick Nunez. “When he asked me to join him I didn’t hesitate. Together we were able to put a lot of smiles on those kids. It was very rewarding and Mario and I are very happy to be part of something special during Christmas.”

Undefeated Super Bantamweight Adam Lopez Punctuates 2015 with 2nd round knockout over former world champion Erik Aiken

San Antonio, Texas (December 16, 2015) – Het afgelopen Zaterdag night in his hometown of San Antonio, undefeated Super Bantamweight contender Adam Lopez(14-0, 7 KO's) scored a 2nd round stoppage over former world champion Erik Aiken in a bout that took place at the AT & T Center.

 

Lopez is promoted by GH3 Promotions.

Lopez dominated the action as he took the fight to the former champion, finally stopping Aiken at 2:09 van de tweede ronde.
“I was very excited and we executed the game-plan,”Said Lopez, who celebrated his 25th birthday on fight night.
“I am happy to have that win in San Antonio. It’s my hometown and it’s a great place to be. I wish I was on later in the card, but I am happy to get the stoppage win.”
Aiken, who was a Featherweight world champ is the biggest name on the Lopez’ resume to date.
“He is a former world champion and even though he hasn’t fought at the world championship level in a while, a win is a win.”
Lopez will kick off what he believes will be a huge 2016 with a nationally televised bout in February.
“I am headlining ShoBox on 12 februari. It will be my first headliner. Daarna, I hope that I could be in a line for a world title opportunity. I am ranked number-seven by the WBA but if that isn’t next after the ShoBox fight, we will wait for our opportunity.”
When asked if he indulged in any birthday / knockout win celebrations, Lopez was busy with his family and fans.
“I really didn’t even eat. let alone eat any cake. I was busy thanking my family and fans. I got the best present anyway and that is to be able to do what I love to do on my birthday and that is fight and win!”

San Antonio, Texas (December 2, 2015) – Ongeslagen Super bantamgewicht Adam Lopez (13-0, 6 KO's) terug naar de ring op Saturday, 12 december bij de AT&T Center in zijn geboorteland San Antonio wanneer hij op de voormalige wereldkampioen Erik Aiken in een gevecht gepland voor 6 rondes.

SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 23, 2015) – Ongeslagen super-vedergewicht phenom, Mario Barrios (11-0, 6 KO), heeft een tegenstander voor zijn aanstaande gevecht plaats deze zaterdag bij de Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. Barrios will face Mexico’s Eduardo Rivera (9-2-2, 3 KO) in een 8-roiund bout.
“Ik ben blij dat vonden ze een tegenstander voor mij,” zei San Antonio Texas inheemse Mario Barrios. “Dit wordt mijn eerste keer gevechten in Alabama, so I’m excited to put on a great performance for the fans the will be in attendance. Super Bantamweight Adam Lopez remains undefeated and looks to next big fight

San Antonio, TX (Juni 4, 2015)–This past May 22, Super Bantamweight Adam Lopez won a 6-round unanimous decision over Miguel Tamayo to raise his record to 12-0.
The San Antonio native pitched a shutout on all three judges scorecards by 60-54 tallies.
Lopez was especially enthusiastic about the victory as it took place not far from where he grew up in Southern California.
“I am originally from California and I had lots of family and friends at the fight. It was a tough fight with a veteran of 30 gevechten. I boxed and took my time to win every round,”Said Lopez.
The win did not come without a cost as Lopez hurt his hand but managed to come through with the victory.
“I hurt my hand and did my best with an experienced opponent. My hand is in a cast and I am taking a few weeks off. I am supposed to be back on Juli 17 op ShoBox. I am just seeing what my team has planned for me. I am happy that my promoter Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions has me on another ShoBox card.”
“I am excited to be with GH3 Promotions. Vito has done a great job keeping me busy. I have had three fights since March and stay tuned for Juli 17.”
