Anthony “Madzi” Young ready for Jersey showdown with Malik Jackson this Thursday night in Philly

Atlantic City, NJ (September 14, 2016)– Welterweight, Anthony “Madzi” Young will look for his third consecutive victory when he takes on Malik Jackson in a battle of New Jersey based fighters as one of the undercard bouts this Thursday nighpa 2300 M'bwalomo mu Philadelphia.
Young of Atlantic City won his first ten bouts and after his current two-fight streak will enter the ring with a record of 13-2 ndi asanu knockouts.
“I had a really good camp and great sparring with (opepuka) Anthony Burgin & Victor Padilla.
In Jackson, he is facing a fighter with a very deceiving 3-9-4 mbiri. He has had several questionable decisions not go in his favor, so Young expects a fight that will not be a gimme.
“I do not know much about him other than t\him being a scrappy fighter who is coming to win. I know he is from New Jersey, but it doesn’t matter where he is from. He could be from Switzerland for all I care.”
This will be the third bout that Young will have championship trainer Raul “Chino” Rivas, and Young already has seen the improvements with his new coach.
“I will display what I have been working on with Chino. I want to thank my team for this opportunity on this card.”
Said Rivas, “This will be our third fight together. He is getting better with every fight. I am excited to see him fight Lachinayi. He has worked hard and is getting sharper. He is able to spar eight and ten rounds now.
“I know Jackson a little bit as I am originally from North Jersey. My son beat him in the amateurs He is tall and his record doesn’t justify who he is. He has been overmatched. But I have noticed that he doesn’t use his jab and he doesn”t have the heart when you press him. We have been using Juice’s angles and combinations and slowly we have been to eliminate bad habits. He is smart, a hard worker and disciplined and his best boxing is ahead of him.”
“Anthony “Madzi” Young will attempt to continue building his already impressive career,”said long time manager, wolemera Cars. “we are very confident in our current team. Head trainer Raul “Chino” Rivas has been doing as excellent job with Juice. I’ve seen Juice grow in every aspect , both inside and out of the ring” says Masini.

Pasciolla sees bout with Edwards, gateway to bigger fights

Pasciolla, who already has wins over undefeated Bill Marks (1-0) & Donnie Edwards (6-0-1) plus triumphs over John Lennox (13-2) and former world champion Imamu Mayfield, and is not in awe of the 6’5: 255 pound Edwards.
“Edwards is a big tall guy and I respect him as an athlete, But I feel that I am more that ready for this fight. Edwards has no amateur experience and his record has been built up. Not only does my resume of wins look more impressive then his, but I have fought bigger guys.”

Pasciolla believes a win over Edwards will catapult himself into higher profile bouts.

“I am hoping with a national broadcast win will move me up the national rankings. I won the New Jersey state belt when we beat a former world champion in Imamu Mayfield. That tile has lineage back to Chuck Wepner, so we have the confidence as I progress up the rankings.”
Long time manager, wolemera Cars, recently teamed up with Sean Darling in efforts to help build the career of Pasciolla. Darling has been training Pasciolla for the last two and a half years, as Pascoilla he earned an 8-1-1 mbiri. Over this time, Pasciolla has sparred with some of the top prospects in boxing today. The likes of Bryant Jennings, Zhang Zhilei, Joey Dewejko, Derrick Rossy and Chaz Witherspoon.
“Dan has stepped up and won some impressive bouts as an underdog. I like Dan a lot, he is fighting with a lot of heart,” says Masini.
“This will be the 4th undefeated fighter Dan will face. We function well as a team. Obviously Dan is in the ring, my job is to navigate his career and continue to step up and grow both inside and outside the ring. We understand we’re facing a tough opponent on September 15th on national TV but we’re real confident Dan will perform very well and earn the victory.”

Edwards, 31, wa Cincinnati, HA, ndi 11-0-1, 7 K0s. The seven-year defensive end from the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons began boxing in 2011 during the NFL owners’ lockout and devoted his full-time to it in 2013. He has been learning his craft and is ready to step up in competition. Edwards knocked out Steven Tyner, wa New York, in two rounds his last fight Aug. 26 in Minneapolis, MN.

Pasciolla, 31, wa njerwa, NJ, ndi 8-1-1 after three years as a pro. He has beaten solid East Coast competition in Bill Marks, John Lennox, Donnie Palmer and former world cruiserweight champion Imamu Mayfield. Davila defeated Cortes by four-round decision on July 22 in Mashantucket, CT. Cortes later earned a four-round decision over Alex Barbosa pa Aug. 26 in the loser’s Philadelphia backyard.

Opening up the television broadcast will be 17-year-old Devin haney (9-0, 5 K0s), wa Las Vegas, NV, will have his 10th contest in eight months when fights Mike Fowler (5-2, 2 K0s), wa Milwaukee, WI.

GH3 Promotions signs undefeated Heavyweight Ray Edwards

Nutley, NJ (August 29, 2016) – GH3 Promotions is honored to announce the signing of undefeated heavyweight Ray Edward kuti basi zotsatsira mgwirizano.
Edwards of Cincinnati, Ohio has a perfect mark of 11-0-1 with seven knockouts.
After a successful seven-year career as a defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League, Edwards has made professional boxing his full-time occupation.
The 31 year-old Edwards actually turned professional May 20, 2011 when the NFL players were entrenched in a lockout.
“Ray has shown that he has the physical tools to become a top heavyweight,” said GH3 Promotions CEO Vito Mielnicki.
“He has a ton of upside and with heavyweights, there is a chance to become a star very quickly here in the States. I think that because he has competed at a high level in the NFL, he has a chance to do that in boxing. We are looking to get him three fights before the end of the year. He is 6’6 255 lbs. and we will move him like like most heavyweights, steady but right and no rush. He will be at the top when it’s time. He is class act, well spoken and when he walks in a room u see his presence.
“I always loved boxing. I started doing in at as an off-season workout and just really enjoyed it,” adatero Edwards.
In his pro debut, Edwards won a four-round unanimous decision over Tyrone Gibson in Hinckley, Minnesota..
Edwards, who did not have an amateur fight, has increased his level of opposition and is coming off a 2nd round stoppage over Steven Tyner on August 26 in Minneapolis.
“It is a big deal for me to sign with GH3 Promotions,” continued Edwards. “Vito Mielnicki has a good stable with Antoine Douglas and Jerry Odom and this is the type of step I was looking for.”
Because Edwards was known for his prowess on the gridiron, his transition into the ring was not taken seriously.
“I was looked down upon because I was a football player. I have the right team around that will help develop my style. I have been in camp wiith (WBC Heavyweight champion) Deontay Wilder and I held my own, and I have confidence in myself.”
In what he thinks his move from the NFL to boxing can help persuade kids to start boxing, where in the recent past, a lot of the good young athletes have chosen other sports.
“I can help kids be passionate about boxing. Kids haven’t dedicated themselves and learned their crafts. People just see the finished products of fighters. I don’t listen to the negative comments and have good people around me.”
“I just want to stay busy and keep winning. Let me be great. In do time, people will see the finished product.”
In what playing at the highest level of professional sports, he can take into boxing, Edwards notes, “I played defensive line and I was focused on the ball. So I have learned to tune things out. It’s that tunnel vision that playing in front of 100,000 anthu, you learn that. Not to listen to the crowd and stay focused.”
When asked if what his former NFL fraternity thinks of his move to boxing, Edwards stated, “I still get support from my friends in the league. They are always asking when and where I am fighting, so I feel when the fights get higher profile, It will become a really big thing.”

Said Edwards trainer Kennie Johnson, “He is developing into a good
wankhondo. We started out with a guy who had a great physical presence, but he has been a fast learner and now it is time for people to see that. He is coming along well and when the competition steps up, we will see that he is a quality fighter. He is the hardest worker that I ever seen in the forty years that I have been around the sport.”

Edwards will fight on September 15 against an opponent to be named in Philadelphia. The bout will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
