Dan Pasciolla looking to defend and win New Jersey State Heavyweight title this Friday against Quian Davis

Atlantic City, NJ (Maio 31, 2018) – Heavyweight Dan Pasciolla (9-3-3) won the New Jersey State Heavyweight title when he won a six-round unanimous decision over former world champion Imamu Mayfield on March 19, 2016.

 

 

 

O 32 year-old native of Brick, New Jersey signed on to fight Quian Davis (4-0-2, 2 KOs) this Friday night at The Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, and was informed that the fight would be for the vacant title.

 

 

 

That was news to Pasciolla and his manager Rich Masini, as the pair believed that Pasciolla was still the champion.

 

 

 

“I have been waiting for a fight. I was in camp in Poland, and I am in better shape. My goal is to get in the ring, and show a different Dan Pasciolla,” said the 5-year veteran.

 

 

 

When asked about Davis, Pasciolla is ready for his undefeated opponent.

 

 

 

“I know he did not have much of an amateur career. He is just another guy that I will be getting into the ring with. Experience plays a factor, and I bring much more than thaton Friday. I have been working hard, and things are coming together,”

 

 

 

Pasciolla is not letting the fact the he is already fighting for a belt that he already owns get in the way of his preparation.

 

 

 

“I am not sure why there is a new title since I already am the champion, but I will walk out with 2 belts on Friday. It is very important because it represents my state, so it is a big deal to me. I do not do a lot of talking. I will do my talking between the ropes.”

 

 

 

“This is a funny and crazy business at times,” said Pasciolla’s manager , Rich Masini. “Dan beat Mayfield for the state title, It is even recognized on Boxrec.com, but somehow, I guess that doesn’t count anymore, but Dan will enter the ring with that belt, and apparently now we are fighting for the same title but a different belt. Dan has worked very hard, and he has transformed his body and is in great shape.”

WORCESTER, Massa. (Abril 2, 2017) – Popular Massachusetts heavyweight Vinnie “Pesadelo americano” Carita was too much for former South American champion Gilberto Matheus “El Magico” Domingos na noite passada “New England’s Future 2” main event at Worcester Palladium. A capacity crowd of 1,700 rocked the vintage venue from start to finish.

Remillard pounded his opponent, Agostinho “Impiedoso” Maura (6-2-3 3 KOs), whose toughness showed throughout the contest as Remillard pounded his Lawrence (MA) opponent to the body and head en route to a eight-round unanimous decision (80-71, 79-72, 78-73) na co-metragem. Mauras was deducted a point in the fourth round for headbutting.
“I was a little rusty but I got better as the fight went on,” Remillard said. “He’s a tough kid who was slippery inside. If the fight went a little longer, I think I would have gotten him out of there.”

Worcester welterweight Andy Gonzalez (6-1, 5 KOs) cruised to a four-round unanimous decision over a game Antonio Chavez Fernandes (7-30-4, 2 KOs), of Brockton (MA).

WORCESTER, Massa. (Março 20, 2017) – The long trip back begins April 1st para Matt “Sharp Shooter” Remillard, 12 years to the day from his professional debut, no “New England’s Future 2” show at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Remillard (23-1, 13 KOs), fighting out of Manchester, Connecticut, hasn’t boxed for the six years, due to him serving a five-year prison sentence. He takes on Lawrence (MA) leve Agostinho “Impiedoso” Maura (6-1-3, 3 KOs) in the eight-round co-feature. If their tense, near volatile stare-down at a recent press conference is a true indication, Remillard vs. Mauras is not going the distance, to put things mildly.

“I am excited to have a boxer of Remillard’s caliber on our ‘New England’s Future 2’ evento de boxe,” promoter Jose Antonio Rivera remarked. “He has a tough match against August time Mauras for his first fight back. His lone pro loss came in his last fight, Março 23, 2011 in Atlantic City to then rising star Mikey Garcia (24-0), when Remillard retired after 11 rounds. He won’t make excuses; contudo, he never should have taken the fight with Garcia, facing the impending court case that sent him to prison and working with a new head trainer he’d only met two weeks prior to the fight.
“I’m confident I can get back to where I was in about a year,” the 30-year-old Remillard said. “A dream come true would be a rematch with Garcia, at any weight, but I have to earn that shot. Everybody wants a rematch with the guy who gave you the first loss. It seldom happens but, se não, in time I believe there will be other big fights out there for me.
“I’m fighting an opponent who fought by buddy, Chip Perez, três vezes (0-2-1), so I’m familiar with his style. He doesn’t back down. I don’t expect him to back down against me…until he feels my power. I’m going to take out those five years that I was away on him. I’ve been through so much the last six year but I’m most comfortable in the gym. The past is past and this is my last run. Paul and I have a lot of unfinished business to take care of.”
Seventeen years ago, Chicon first met Remillard at the Manchester PAL gym, but he made the 13-year-old aspiring boxer earn his opportunity to be trained. Paul made Matt clean the bathrooms, take care of spit buckets, etc. before he started training him.
“When he returned to the gym a few months back, I saw that his work ethic hadn’t faded,” Cichon commented. “I don’t believe he’s really that far away from where he was six years ago. He was idle five years but his first day back he sparred 12 rounds. He stayed in good physical shape and is hungrier than ever. He thinks he has something to prove after his last fight, but he really doesn’t have anything to prove to me or anybody else. He is fighting a tough kid but Matt’s going to be victorious. I think in four or five more fights he’ll be back where he was in boxing.”

New Jersey promoter makes first wave of signings
All will be in action on Sábado, November 12th at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City
Millville NJ (Outubro 3, 2016)–Rising Promotions is proud to announce the signings of super middleweight Isiah Seldon, super lightweight’s Marvin Johnson & Dan Murray, galo Dallas Holden, cruiserweight David Sparks and featherweight Dion Sparks to exclusive promotional contracts.
They join undefeated heavyweight Quian Davis (3-0-2, 2 KO) as the first group of fighters to ink contracts under the Rising Promotions banner.
Davis is coming off a 28 second knockout this past Sábado night in Trenton, New Jersey over Jonathan Hafley
Seldon of Atlantic City, New Jersey tem um recorde de 9-1 com três knockouts.
O 28 year-old son of former WBA Heavyweight world champion, Bruce Seldon, se tornou profissional em 2010 and won his first seven bouts. Holden, 20 years-old of Atlantic City was a highly regarded amateur who amassed 50 lutas. Holden fought in the Philadelphia Golden Gloves. He has a professional record of 1-0. Holden turned professional on 22 de julho with a four-round unanimous decision over Kevin Asmat in Atlantic City.
“I have known Thomas for a long time and its going to be a good thing. It’s going to open a lot of doors. Because of my amateur career, people know me and now they want to see me fight as a professional,” said Holden.

Dion Sparks, 19 anos, had 135 lutas amadoras. He won 3 national championships and 2 world championships, and at one point was ranked number-one in the United States.

“This is every exciting. I can do really great with Rising Promotions. I am young and talented. We been all over including at Mayweather Gym. I am always in shape and I am ready to fight. I have great expectations. I would like to fight 8 para 10 times and just stay active. I think within two or three years, we can get the right fights and fight for a championship. ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Abril 26, 2016)–Na Sexta-Feira noite, May 27th, a big night of boxing will kick off a holiday weekend at The Claridge in Atlantic City as Rising Promotions will present a terrific card of boxing.
“We are excited to come back to the Claridge. Thanks to the whole staff at Rising Promotions and the AC Boxing Hall of Fame, we are able to do our third show in only 5 months and give local fighters the opportunity to showcase their talent,”said Debra LaManna of Rising Star Promotions.
No evento principal, It will be about New Jersey bragging rights as Isiah Seldon vai assumir Eddie Edmond in a bout scheduled for six-rounds.
Seldon, 27 years-old of Atlantic City, New Jersey is a six-year professional and has a record of 8-1 with three knockouts and is coming his title-winning effort when he won a six-round unanimous decision over Michael Mitchell on March 19th at the Claridge.
Edmond of Newark, New Jersey tem um recorde de 4-4-2 with one knockout is a eight year professional. O 30 year-old has won two straight bouts which includes his last outing when won a four-round split decision over Edson Soto on August 15, 2015 in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Mussachio of Wildwood, New Jersey tem um recorde de 18-3-2 with five knockouts and will be looking to get back to winning ways that made him a contender with wins over former world champion Carl Daniels, Bobby Rooney (11-2-1) and Tony Ferrante (9-0).
O 36 year-old Mussachio is coming off a 2nd round stoppage defeat to Lionell Thompson on February 23, 2013 em Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Lockett of Takoma Park, Maryland tem um recorde de 14-16-5 com cinco knockouts.
His record does not tell the story as Lockett has faced the “Whose-Who” of fighters between Super Middleweight and Heavyweight.

Seldon is eager to be back in the ring after much soul searching over the past two-plus years.
“I have been working a job and staying in the gym. I have been keeping sharp but I just needed to get my life in order, ” said Seldon. “We have been looking for the right fight. I was offered some good financial opportunities in Russia, but I want to do this the right way. I am not in this for the money.”
Seldon feels at age 27, the time is now to concentrate on in his ring career.
“I am not getting any younger, and when I got the call from Rising Promotions and they offered me the right fight, I jumped at it.”
When asked about the veteran Mitchell, Seldon really doesn’t know alot.
“I don’t know much. I saw a couple video snippets of him and I see a tough guys who comes forward. It should be a good fight. I trained very hard for this and I am ready.”
When asked what he sees in the next few years, Seldon, believes that with Rising Promotions looking to do stage multiple fight cards on the boardwalk property, he sees an active 2016.
“I am looking at two or three more fights this year. Rising Promotions said I could be on their cards going forward. I am just trying to stay busy. Eu sou 27 years-old and it is time to go. The Beast Mode is turned on and I am excited to show a new Isiah Seldon. Before I was just a brawler but in the time off, I have developed my boxing skills and I am a much better fighter.”

Davis of nearby Mays Landing, New Jersey is not the typical fighter who has dreams of winning a world heavyweight title, but he has bigger plans to help mold the youth of the Jersey Shore area as being a role model.
To say Davis is an all-around athlete is an understatement.
The Buena High School all-time leading rusher in football, was a 48th round draft pick of the Florida Marlins and spent three years in their minor league system.
When getting the itch to play football again, Davis bagged baseball and began playing football at Hudson Valley College in upstate New York.
After a few years of figuring out his next move, Davis took up boxing.
na 6'3″e 250 lbs, Davis took up the sweet science at the age of 34.
After eight amateur fights (record of 5-3), Davis turned professional by fighting a four round draw with Willie Harvey on August 15, 2015.
Davis got into the win column with a 26 second knockout over Santario Holdbrooks on 05 de dezembro at The Claridge.
“Agora, I am getting by with my natural athletic ability. I do not know all of the ins and outs of boxing, but I have toughness and have been learning on the job,” disse Davis.
“There has been a lot of improvement since I have started”
In Morley, he is facing a durable guy, that has gone the distance in his first two outings.
“I just know he is shorter and heavier then me. He is from Philadelphia, so that alone, I know he is a tough guy.”
Davis is even more honest when it comes to his ceiling as a fighter.
“My goal is to fight as long as the sport wants me. I want to have fights that will build my resume and give me the credibility to become a trainer for all athletes. I would like to instill what I know and my experiences with baseball, football and now boxing and become an all-around trainer and role model. There are people needed in the community that should be mentoring kids coming up and I feel that I can be that guy around here.”
“I want to thank my supporters. I am humbled that they spend their hard earned money to come see fight, and I am so appreciative of that.”
