Philadelphia (Mai 27,2015)—An diesem Freitag Nacht am Stadium Holiday

Inn in Philadelphia, King’s Promotions presents a great night of championship boxing that will headlined by 10-round UBF Lightweight championship bout between Frankie De Alba (15-1-2, 5 KO) und Bernardo Gomez Uribe (14-3, 10 KO).
In one of the 8-round co-features, Steve Upsher Chambers (24-4-1, 6 KO) returns to the city where he cut his teeth as a professional to take on Alejandro Rodriguez (24-16-1, 14 KO) in einem Jr. Weltergewicht bout.
Chambers, who came originally to Philadelphia with former Heavyweight title challenger, “Schnell” Eddie Chambers, kämpfte 23 times and the famed Blue Horizon in Philadelphia and will be making his first start in the City of Brotherly Love in almost 6 Jahre.
“I have been training hard and working on opening my new gym with (Leichtbau Anwärter) Rod Salka,” said Upsher.
“I am on weight already and I feel good. We will be fighting at 142 Pfund.”
Upsher is ready to show the fans how far his abilities have grown since he turned pro in Philadelphia in 2003 als er gerade war, 18 Jahre alt.
“I am happy to be coming back to Philadelphia. I want to show people how far I have come and see the improvement that I have made as a fighter.”
Despite losing his three bouts to the likes of former world champions Luis Collazo and Andre Berto as well as then-undefeated prospect Eddie Gomez, Upsher was competitive in all those bouts and grew tremendously from those experiences.
“It showed that I can compete against that level of fighter. Plus everyone of those guys was bigger than me. Ich bin eine natürliche 140 pounder and can make 135 if the right opportunity presented itself.”
Chambers went back to his native Pittsburgh to train in neighboring city Coal Center, PA.
“My mind is set on winning a world title at 140 Pfund. After the three losses, I cant afford any missteps. People see about the losses. I know I have the ability to be a world champion and on Mai 29 that will start to show.”
On the veteran opponent, Rodriguez, Upsher said, “I know he is tough and from Mexico. I will look at a little film before the fight and go from there. I really don’t worry about what he will do. He should worry about me. This fight is redemption for me. It’s a start and then I would like to right all of the losses. But first I am looking for a dominant performance am Freitag then I want to end all doubts.”
An outstanding undercard has been assembled.

Demond Nicholson (12-1, 12 KO) von Laurel, MD will battle German Perez (11-1, 3 KO) in einem Mittelgewichts-Kampf.
Leo Halle (5-0, 5 KO) von Detroit, MI will risk his perfect mark against Lawrence Blakey (2-3, 1 KO) of Pennsylvania in a Light Heavyweight affair.
Caleb Pflanze (6-0, 5 KO) von Ashland City, TN will fight Jason Zabokrtsky (3-1, 3 KO) of Kansas in a Middleweight bout.

Im Main Event, Frank De Alba will compete for the UBF Lightweight title against Bernardo Gomez Uribe in einem Kampf für 10-Runden geplant.
De Alba von Reading, PA has won 13 straight fights to raise his impressive mark to 15-1-2 mit fünf Knockouts.
Die 27 year-old De Alba has wins over Andrew Bentley (1-0) & Benjamin Burgos (1-0). He won the UBF All Americas Super Featherweight title with 5th round stoppage over Pablo Batres. He has made two defenses of the belt which includes his last outing when he won an 8-round unanimous decision over Jose Bustos on Februar 21.
Uribe of Guadalajara, Mexiko hat einen Rekord von 14-3 mit 10 Knockouts.

Ennis captured the NABF Super Middleweight title with a win over Victor Lares. Ennis coming off a loss to current WBC Super Middleweight champion Badou Jack on July 19, 2013.
Gbenga of Accra, Ghana hat einen Rekord von 20-19 mit allen 20 wins coming via knockouts.
Gbenga has fought top competition such as Dean Francis, Ilunga Makubu, Andre Dirrell, current WBC Super Middleweight champion Badou Jack, Lennox Allen, Mark Issac, Travis Peterkin, Joe Smith Jr., Derrick Webster, Vyacheslav Shabranskyy, Trevor McCumby, Phillip Jackson Benson and in his last bout when he dropped an 8-round decision to Medzhid Bektemirov on April 18.

ORANGE, Calif. (Mai 5, 2015) – Junior-Mittelgewicht Brandon Adams (16-1, 12 KOs) is returning to a familiar situation. After coming up short in last year’s Boxcino finals and suffering the only loss of his career, the Los Angeles-native dropped down one weight class and fought his way back to the 10-round championship fight.

“I’m glad that I’ve made it into the finals of this great tournament on ESPN,” Andrey Fedosov sagte,. “ich‘m training very hard in Los Angeles and I’m confident that I will win the fight.”

Several big name fighters were in attendance, but the one who appealed most to the hundreds of thousands of fans who flocked Sin City for the fight was “Die sibirische Rocky” Ruslan Provodnikov.

Two-time world champion Steve “USS” Cunningham signs with Al Haymon

Philadelphia (April 21, 2015)–Former two-time world cruiserweight champion and current Heavyweight contender, Steve “USS” Cunningham has signed with adviser Al Haymon.
Cunningham of Philadelphia is excited about the prospects for his future.
“I’m looking forward to working with Al, he’s a genius at what he does. I’ve been watching him for several years and seeing all that he accomplishes for his fighters but have always been on the outside looking in due to contractual obligations. It finally lined up to where we can work together and it’s going to great. I believe my best fights have yet to be seen,”sagte Cunningham
Cunningham has a record of 28-7 mit 13 Knockouts. He won the IBF Cruiserweight championship when he traveled to Poland and defeated Krzysztof Wlodarczyk on May 26, 2007. He defended the title by stopping Marco Huck via 12th round stoppage in Bielfield, Germany on December 29, 2007. Cunningham became a two-time champion on June 5, 2010 when he stopped Troy Ross in five rounds.
Cunningham is coming off a controversial split decision defeat to Vyacheslav Glazkov on März 14 in Montreal.
Steve and his wife/manager Livvy will be honored an diesem Freitag night at the 90th annual BWAA Awards dinner as they will receive the Bill Crawford Courage Award for their perseverance while their 9-year old daughter Kennedy went through a life saving heart transplant last December.
The awards dinner will take place at Capitale in New York City.

John Thompson reflects on Boxcino semifinal win and looks forward towards the final on May 22

Newark, NJ (April 21, 2015)— John “Apollo Kidd” Thompson has begun preparations for his Mai 22 Boxcino final bout against Brandon Adams. (17-1, 12 KO).

Thompson is in Virginia, training under Kay Koroma and he is looking to win the prestigious tournament against Thompson in the 10-round bout at the Omega Products International Outdoor Arena in Corona, Kalifornien.
Thompson (16-1, 5 KO) is coming off a 8-round split decision over previously undefeated Stanyslav Skorokhod on April 10 in Bethlehem, PA.
“I outboxed the guy,” sagte Thompson. I focused on what I needed to focus on and that was using my jab. I also focused on not to exchange and bang with him and I did a pretty good job of that.”
“As well as I fought, I do not think that was even my best win.”
Now he looks towards Adams. Adams of Los Angeles has experience in the Boxcino finals as his only loss was to Willie Monroe Jr. in last year’s Middleweight finals.
“I am happy to be in the finals. This is an opportunity that will be the uprising of my career,” continued Thompson.
“Brandon is a brawler. He will have a few weeks to come up with a strategy to beat me.”
Said Thompson’s promoter, Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions, “I believe we are longer, been in tougher and the better boxer. Brandon is a good fighter but I think he is too green. I know he had a brief amateur career and he could be too green for John.”

Philadelphia (März 31, 2015)–Es ist weniger als zwei Wochen weg vom Halbfinale der Boxcino 2015 Schwergewicht und jr. Mittelgewichts-Turniere, die am Freitagabend stattfinden wird, 10. April und wird im Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem statt, PA.

 

Die Show wird live auf ESPN Friday Night Fights im Fernsehen übertragen werden, wobei die Boxcino Halbfinale Kämpfe am Anfang 9 PM ET.

 

Alle Halbfinale Kämpfe sind seit acht Runden angesetzt.

 

Im Schwergewicht, Andrey Fedosov (26-3, 21 KO) dauert an Lenroy Thomas (19-3, 8 KO). Fedosov is coming off a first round pounding of Nate Heaven while Thomas won a 7-round drawbreaker over former U.S. Olympischen Jason Estrada.

 

Im zweiten Halbfinale, Razvan Cojanu (13-1, 7 KO) dauert an Donovan Dennis (11-1, 9 KO).

 

Cojanu kommt aus einem 7-Rund drawbreaker gewinnen Ed Fountain, während Dennis gestoppt Steve Vukoša in 4-Runden.

 

Im jr. Mittelgewicht, Stanyslav Skorokhod (9-0, 7 KO) Schlachten John Thompson (15-1, 5 KO).

Philadelphia (März 17, 2015)–Im Anschluss an seinen IBF Beseitigung bout dieser Vergangenheit Samstag im Bell Centre in Montreal, ehemalige zweifache Weltmeister im Cruiser und aktuelle Schwergewichts-Kämpfer Steve “USS” Cunningham will seinen Fall zu dem erklären, was die Boxwelt gesehen hat, und das ist der falsche Mann hatte seine Hand erhoben.
Das Fernsehpublikum sah, dass Cunningham kontrollierte den Kampf und aus landete Vyacheslav Glazkov in acht der zwölf Runden mit Jabs als praktisch selbst und Cunningham Landung mehr Macht Schüsse in Höhe von 123-84.
In Summe, Cunningham aus warf Glazkov durch 208 Schläge und landete ihn aus 180-144 über die zwölf Runden-Kampf.
“Die Nummern, die Wahrnehmung, die Video, nichts davon liegt,” sagte Cunningham.
“Schauen Sie sich die Statistik. Schauen Sie sich sein Gesicht. Der Mann spuckte dreimal sein Mundstück aus, weil er wirklich keine Antwort darauf hatte, was ich ihm angetan hatte. Ich habe ihn am Körper verletzt. Seine Ecke bat ihn sogar, dass er in der letzten Runde einen Knockout brauchte, um mich zu schlagen. Irgendwie gaben ihm zwei Richter acht Runden und ein anderer sieben. Warum sich die Mühe machen zu kämpfen, wenn dieses Zeug passieren wird?? Ich habe ihn überarbeitet, Sie brachte ihn und schlugen ihn in allen Varianten möglich.
