Philadelphie, PA. (Březen 11, 2017) – Tyrone Brunson won a 8-round split decision over Bandon Quarles in the main event of a 8-bout card in front of a packed house at the SugarHouse Casino.
The show was promoted by King’s Promotions.
It was a action filled fight that saw both guys be the aggressor at different stages of the fight. Brunson showed a more versatile side of him, that many boxing fans haven;t seen in years from him. One which differed from the prodigious knockout puncher that Brunson was known for when he knocked out the 1st 19 fighters he faced in the 1st round.
This Brunson used his legs to set up punches off of the jab, which he also landed several times with power behind that stick. Quarles was very game as he had his moments and landed hard shots that kept Brunson honest. Brunson landed more and harder, and he came out with the victory by scores of 78-74 a 77-75. Quarles took a card at 77-75.
Brunson of Philadelphia is now 24-6-2. Quarles of Alexandria, Virginie je 18-4-1.

A late point deduction cost David Gonzales a split decision as he dropped the six-round bout to Juan Rodriguez in a junior welterweight bout
It was a tough grind-it-out fight until Gonzales was deducted a point in the 30 seconds for holding for holding.

Rodriguez of Haymarket, Virginia won two cards 58-55 a 57-56, while Gonzales of Philadelphia took a card 57-56.

Rodriguez is 7-6-1. Gonzales is 8-2-2.

Carlos Roasrio got off the floor but scored a 3rd round stoppage over Lance Williams in a scheduled 6-round lightweight bout.

Oropeza landed a left that dropped Parkinson. The back of Parkinson’s head crashed on the canvas, and he was knocked out cold for several moments before ringside physicians were able to to get him to his feet.

Brandon Robinson won a 4-round unanimous decision over Lamont McLaughlin in a light heavyweight bout.

Robinson dropped McLaughlin in round three and cruised home to a victory by 40-35 karty.

Vincent Floyd stopped Blaine Donkor in round two of their scheduled 4-round welterweight bout.

Floyd landed a hard flurry that forced referee Steve Smoger to stop the bout at 1:48.

The 32 year-old Brunson turned professional in 2005, and started his career with 19 consecutive 1st round knockouts. Included in that streak was a stoppage over James Morrow (8-1-2). In his last bout Brunson and Ismael Garcia fought to a 10-round draw on October 14, 2016 ve Philadelphii.
“My camp has been great,” said Brunson. “I don’t know much about Quarles, but I am coming to work. I don’t know if he will be putting in the work that I will on March 11.”
Brunson, who a decade ago was destined for greatness, believes a win will put him right back in the mix for a title shot.
“This win would put me closer to my dream. Weather it is fighting for the USBA title or the NABF, I know something big will come after this.”

Greg Cohen Promotions Signs Heavyweight Contender Joey Dawejko to a Promotional Agreement

Greg Cohen Promotions proudly announces the signing of heavyweight contender Joey Dawejko (17-4-3, 10 KO).

Dawejko (pronounced Da-Vayko) Philadelphia, has been a classic underachiever, tak daleko, in his professional career, but says the addition of Cohen as his promoter is just one of the changes he has made.

The 26-year-old Philadelphian has always been a talent but, admittedly, hasn’t always been in the best shape for his fights. “My manager, Mark Cipparone, changed my life,” he explained. “I used to take fights on a week’s notice for no money, so I never gave it 100%. Více, I was working 12-14 hours a day as a roofer. The first day I got with him, I told him I can’t make the gym today because I’m going to be working and couldn’t get there in time. He said ‘Quit. This is your full-time job now.'”

“Everything is going to be different from now on,” Said Dawejko. “I’m a different person, a different fighter, different everything and I’m getting a lot better. I have a new team and I’m training out in Los Angeles. I’m living a new life and happy to finally be working with Greg Cohen. He can get me the big fights I need. It’s going to be great because I just need a chance at another big-name opponent.”

Despite his relatively young 26 léta, Dawejko has been boxing since age nine, where he debuted as a junior flyweight. The lifelong experience enables him to use his 5′ 10″ height to work move in under the punches of today’s heavyweight giants and do solid work. He managed to hold top contender Jarrell “Velké dítě” Miller to a draw in 2013.

It was a decision loss to top contender Amir Mansour in 2015, nicméně, that brought him forward leaps and bounds as a fighter.

“It was my first 10-round fight and I just wasn’t myself that night. It cost me a loss, but it was probably a good thing because I learned so much from that fight. As soon as it was over, I was a better fighter. I realized what I have to do better and different.”

Philadelphie – Leden 28, 2017 – Victory Boxing Promotions kicked off 2017 with a bang at 2300 Arena v jižní Philadelphii. Philly boxing fans were treated to seven fights featuring undefeated, world class talent, headlined by four-time National Amateur Champion Jaron “Boty” Ennis versus Puerto Rico’s Elvin Perez.

Ennis remained undefeated when an early body shot brought Perez to his knees in the first round of their scheduled six round contest. Perez was unable to continue, and Ennis improved to 9-0, s 8 of his wins coming by knockout.

V co-hlavní události, local boxer/cop Manny Folly sensationally knocked out Carlos Morgan (12-5, 6KO) v prvním kole, bringing his record to 9-0, 7KO.

Carlos “Tiburon” Sanchez (12-0, 11KO) was victorious in his 12th outing, stopping Somner Martin in the 3rd round. Coachella’s Brandun Lee (1-0, 1KO) won his debut over Indiana’s Christopher Johnson. PHILADELPHIA – Leden 26, 2017 – Victory Boxing Promotions returns to 2300 Aréna v Philadelphie tonight with an eight-bout card stacked with elite, undefeated prospects. It is the first of three events that Victory Boxing has on the books at the storied arena in 2017. It’s a step up in competition for Ennis, who beat Marcus Bedford via sixth round technical knockout in December. “We are moving Boots very fast,” Victory Boxing Promotions Founder and Promoter said of the young talent, who began his pro career last April with four national amateur championships and two of Philadelphia’s famed Briscoe Awards under his belt. “Boots is the real deal, and we’re going to see how he fares against a much more experienced opponent v sobotu.”

Philadelphie, PA (Leden 12, 2017)– Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions is excited to announce the promotional company has inked a 5-fight deal to stage high quality boxing events at the 2300 Arena ve Philadelphii.

Those five dates are added to at least four dates at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center.

VICTORY BOXING PROMOTIONS KICKS OFF 3 FIGHT PHILLY SERIES WITH “SUPER BRAWL” ON JANUARY 28TH

PHILADELPHIA – Prosinec 27, 2016 – Victory Boxing Promotions kicks off 2017 s “Super Brawl,” a ten-bout card featuring world class talent from Philadelphia and beyond, Sobota, 28. ledna na 2300 Arena in South Philly.
Jaron Ennis (8-0, 7KO) will showcase his talents at welterweight in his ninth fight since his professional debut in April of last year. Ennis, who took home his second Briscoe Award earlier this year for his outstanding amateur career, delivered a phenomenal performance in his sixth round stoppage of Marucs Beckford (3-5-3, 1KO) začátkem tohoto měsíce. The Ennis family has deep roots in the Philadelphia boxing scene. The 19-year-old is trained by his father and former professional boxer, Jeřáb “bozy” Ennis, and is the younger brother of Derrick “Pooh” Ennis and Farah Ennis, who were themselves accomplished professional boxers.

Another Philadelphia favorite, Super Bantamweight Manny “Major Pain” Pošetilost (8-0, 6KO), continues his quest to remain undefeated, while setting an example for the kids in his community. The Philadelphia Police Officer splits his time between training for boxing and protecting his community and fellow Philadelphia residents. He turned heads in his last fight, a first round knockout win over Hungarian Tibor Nadori (9-7-1, 4KO) v listopadu.

Philadelphia super lightweight Joshua “Ruce z kamene” Jones (3-0-1, 2KO) returns in his first fight since winning a wide unanimous decision over South Carolina’s Corey Edwards (2-2, 1KO) at Victory Boxing’s November card at 2300 Aréna.

Elite talent, and incredibly hard-hitting Canadian prospect Adam Daranyi (9-0, 9KO), looks to continue his perfect run in a six round bout at super welterweight. Mexican super lightweight Carlos Sanchez, who racked up an 11-0 záznam v 11 měsíce v 2016, makes his first appearance in the City of Brotherly Love. UK talent Donovan Cameron (4-0, 4KO) also steps into the ring on 28. ledna v super welterweight zápas.

Amateur standouts Brandun Lee a Christian Camarena both make their highly-anticipated professional debuts on the card as well.

The card is the first of three events on the books for Victory Boxing Promotions in Philadelphia in the first half of 2017. In addition to 28. ledna, the promotion has scheduled events on March 31st and June 17th na 2300 Aréna.
