Heralded Prospect Ruben Villa Remains Undefeated with Unanimous Decision this Past Friday Night in Ontario, Californië

PHILADELPHIA, PENN./ORANGE, Calif. (Februari. 19, 2017)- Heralded prospect Ruben Villa (10-0, 4 KO) van Salinas, Calif. made it ten straight wins to start his career by outpointing veteran Juan Sandoval (15-18, 5 KO) van Mexico. Scores: 59-55, 60-54 tweemaal.
The bout was the co-feature this past Vrijdag night at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Californië.

Villa, 20, capitalized on his southpaw stance by landing a strong jab and countering with a right hook that routinely found its mark. Sandoval often looked confused and never managed to find any angles against the busier Villa.
“I just tried to keep the pressure on him from start to finish,” zei Villa, who is co-promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing. “I think he fought a cautious fight, but I was still able to land a lot of punches in every round.”
Villa was most impressive in the fourth and fifth rounds when he delivered numerous sets of combinations that stunned the taller Sandoval. While Villa kept his unbeaten streak alive op vrijdag nacht, een ander, less recognizable streak ended. In his previous unanimous decision wins, Villa had won every round on every scorecard. Lectuur, PA (Januari 8, 2018)– Rising super middleweight prospect, Brandon Robinson will take on 18-fight veteran Juan Zapata in a six-round bout as part of Evander Holyfield’s Real Deal Showcase 1 op Vrijdag, January 26th bij The SugarHouse Casino.

Robinson is promoted by King’s Promotions.
“I want to thank Marshall Kauffman of King’s Promotions for grooming me to be a world champion, and allowing me to be on this card,” zei Robinson. “Zapata is a solid fighter, who likes to be aggressive. I am just looking to stay high and tight in our defense, and stay sharp, and it should be a nice fight.”
Robinson of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania has a record of 8-1 met zes knockouts, with those eight wins coming in a row.
De 29 year-old is coming off the biggest win of his career as he won an eight-round unanimous decision over respected Christopher Brooker on 1 december at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
Robinson also has a first-round knockout over previously undefeated Brandon Clark (2-0) on September 8th, 2017. Robinson completed a perfect 2017, by registering all eight of his wins during last calendar year.
In Zapata, Robinson is taking on a 12-year veteran who has faced eight undefeated opponents. De 33 year-old Zapata is a native of Bronx, New York by way of Honduras.
Zapata is looking for his 2nd consecutive win, as he is coming off a 2nd round stoppage over Freddy Oporta on September 30th in Honduras.

Philadelphia, PA (Januari 2, 2018) – Deze zaterdag ochtend (2:30 am EST), Eleven Sports will air the replay of the 1 december action-packed boxing event that took place in front of a sold out crowd at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
The King’s Promotions event featured the continued ascension of world-ranked junior middleweight Tyrone Brunson. Brunson stopped Manny Woods in eight rounds to capture the UBF International title.
The co-feature was a Philadelphia showdown of super middleweights that saw Brandon Robinson win a unanimous decision over Christopher Brooker for the UBF All Americas Super Middleweight title.
The show was kicked off with a scintillating performance by rising star Jaron Ennis as he took out George Sosa in two rounds.
There will be an announcement of future re-airings of this show.
Other bouts will be featured on the broadcast.

Deze week Tom, Tony and Rich catch up with Professional Boxer “Snel” Eddie Chambers. Helaas, Een opname glitch liet ons zonder dat de eerste helft van de uitzending vanavond waar we hadden een grote discussie over wat Chambers bereikt in zijn carrière tot nu toe. We hebben sparen het hele Eddie interview, hoewel. Rijke verontschuldigt vierde co-gastheer (Tom the Cat) voor zijn voortdurende onderbrekingen in het begin maar. Wees geduldig, hoewel, mensen. Dit is een van de beste interviews die we hebben uitgevoerd in een lange tijd, en Eddie is een echte klasse act. Het is de moeite waard het luisteren en zal waarschijnlijk de eerste van vele gesprekken met Chambers zullen we waarschijnlijk in de toekomst.

King’s Promotions announces 14 dates for 2018

Fights cards at 2300 Arena, Sands Bethlehem Event Center and SugarHouse Casino
Lectuur, PA (December 18, 2017) – Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions is pleased to announce that the company will stage at least 14 events in Pennsylvania in 2018.
The dates will be spread out over three of the premiere venues in the state.
De 2300 Arena and SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia as well as the Sands Bethlehem Event Center will stage the fight cards which will be seen live on national television.
“I want to thank these three tremendous venues for the opportunity to bring the best fights to the fans in Eastern Pennsylvania. We have built up a great following in all of these places, and over the past three years or so we have been the busiest promoter in the country. 2018 will be the same. King’s Promotions continues to grow and, we are working on dates all over the country,” said King’s Promotions President Marshall Kauffman.
The 1st event will take place on Februari 13 The Sands Bethlehem Event Center.

The event will feature and recognize the most prominent amateur boxers in the area, which constitutes Philadelphia, South Jersey and Delaware.
The best amateurs in the area took home a staggering 47 national titles in 2017.
Several professional boxers including Tevin Farmer and Stephen Fulton will be on hand as well.

2017 National Golden Gloves champion Poindexter Knight, Jr. wins his Pro debut

New York (December, 11, 2017)–On December 1st, welterweight prospect Poindexter Knight, Jr. won his anticipated professional debut when he stopped Samuel Forjoe in the first round of their scheduled four-round bout at The Strand Ballroom and Theater in Providence, Rhode Island.
De 2017 National Golden Gloves champion out of Philadelphia landed a hard combination the corner that had Forjoe bending over, and the bout was stopped in just 63 seconden.
Knight is the latest top-prospect to debut for Split-T Management, and he is promoted by Evander Holyfield’s Sports and Entertainment.
“Everything went well, I was excited and nervous, but I got through it,”zei Ridder.
“I thought my opponent would have a little more for me, but I did what I had to do in there and I got him out of there. It was great to get the knockout in my pro debut,” continued Knight.
Knight is eager to get his next victory, and he is looking to do in front of his hometown fans.
“I am hoping to fight in front of my hometown fans in 2018. That would be a goal for the upcoming year. I can’t wait as I am coming strong in 2018.”
Knight is trained by his father Poindexter Knight, Sr, and the elder Knight was happy with his son’s performance.
“Poindexter looked relaxed, and it looked like it was his 10th fight. I am happy to be with Split-T Management. They gave us a chance when no one else did. We wanted to turn pro for a while and a lot of managers made a lot of broken promises. I put Poindexter back in the Golden Gloves, and he won, which opened a lot of doors,” Said Poindexter Knight, Sr.
“Like my son said, I would like to see him get at least five fights for 2018. That will keep him sharp, and he will continue to learn. We had a great 1st fight, and we will continue to work hard and get better with each fight.”
Said David McWater, CEO of Split-T management, “I’m truly excited about Poindexter Knight’s future – he has the skill and more importantly the drive to be one of the very best.”

Philadelphia, PA (December 5, 2017) – Last Friday night Tyrone Brunson stopped Manny Woods to win the UBF International Junior Middleweight title after eight-rounds of a scheduled ten-round bout in front of a sold out crowd at the 2300 Arena.
The exciting 12-bout card was promoted by King’s Promotions.
Brunson of Philadelphia systematically broke down woods as he boxed well using a pinpoint jab over the first half of the fight. In ronde zes, Brunson started landing hard power punches and began to stagger Woods. Finally after round eight, the corner of Woods pulled the plug on the bout, and Brunson scored his 3rd straight win.
Brunson is now 26-6-2 met 24 knock-outs. Woods of Saint Petersburg, Florida is 16-7-1.
In de co-functie Brandon Robinson scored the biggest win of his career by winning an eight-round unanimous decision over Christopher Brooker to win the UBF All Americas super middleweight title.
Robinson got the better of the action as he cut Brooker in 2 places around the left eye. Brooker tried to get back in the fight over the last couple rounds, but it was Robinson’s boxing and power punches that propelled him to the victory by 80-72, 79-73 en 78-74.
Robinson of Philadelphia is 8-1. Brooker of Philadelphia is 12-5.

Jaron Ennis took out George Sosa at 1:09 of round two of a scheduled eight-round welterweight bout.
The top prospect, Ennis scored two knockdowns and the fight was stopped at 1:09 van de tweede ronde.
Ennis of Philadelphia is now 17-0 met 15 knock-outs. Sosa of Reading, PA is 15-11-1.
Omar Douglas made short work of Isais Martin Gonzales by scoring a 1st round stoppage in a scheduled six-round super featherweight bout.
The time of the bout was 1:52 for Douglas of Wilmington, Delaware, who raised his mark to 18-2 met 13 knock-outs. Gonzales falls to 22-10.
Kyrone Davis won an eight-round unanimous decision over Jamie Barboza in a middleweight bout.
Davis van Wilmington, Delaware took all cards in shutout fashion (Barboza was deducted points on two occasions) door scores van 80-70, and he is now 13-1. Barboza is 19-13.
Joe Hanks won a six-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Joel Cauldle in an entertaining heavyweight bout.
Hanks landed the harder shots and was more active against the game Caudle.
Scores waren 60-54 tweemaal en 58-56 for Hanks, van Newark, NJ and he is now 22-2. Caudle of Raleigh, North Carolina is 7-1-1.
Marcus Banks boxed very well for five-plus rounds and then finished off Antonio Rodriguez in the 6th and final round of their super bantamweight bout.
A body shot dropped and stopped Rodriguez at 2:37 van ronde zes, and Bates of Washington, DC is now 8-0-1 met zeven knockouts. Rodriguez of Mexico is 11-20-1.

Colby Madison survived a 1st round knockdown to come back and stop Randy Easton with a body shot at 2:44 of round two of their scheduled four-round heavyweight bout.
Madison of Owings Mills, Maryland is 5-0-1 met 4 knock-outs. Easton of Sunbury, PA is 4-10-2.

Romuel Cruz made a successful pro debut with a 3rd round stoppage over Rondarrius Hunter in a bantamweight bout.
A series of body shot put Hunter down and the bout was stopped at 2:#5.
Cruz of Philadelphia is 1-0 met 1 knock out, Hunter of Atlanta is 1-2.

Rasheed Johnson of Philadelphia won a four-round unanimous decision over Kashon Hutchinson in a welterweight bout.

Scores waren 40-36 tweemaal en 39-37 voor Johnson, who raised his mark to 3-1. Hutchinosn of Reading, PA is 3-4.
Shamsuddeen Justice stopped late-replacement Jack Grady at 2:07 of round one of their welterweight bout.
The time of the finsh came at 2:07 for Justice of Philadelphia, die nu 2-0 met twee knockouts. Gardy of Buffalo, NY is 0-7-1.
Gerardo Martinez won a four-round split decision over Christopher Burgos in a lightweight bout.
Martinez took took cards 39-37 while Burgos won a card 39-37.

Philadelphia, PA (November 29, 2017) – They fought as amateurs, and are both considered among the best super middleweights in the city.
Deze vrijdag nacht, Brandon Robinson and Christopher Brooker meet as professionals in what could shape up to be an explosive co-feature bout of a 12 fight card at the

2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
The eight-round bout is for the UBF All-Americas title.
The loaded show is promoted my King’s Promotions.
The main event will pit Tyrone Brunson (25-6-2, 23 KO) tegen Manny Woods (16-6-1, 6 KO) van Sint-Petersburg, Florida in a junior middleweight bout scheduled for ten rounds.
“Training is geweldig. This has been the best camp that I have had since turning professional hands down,” zei Robinson.
Although this could be a breakthrough fight for 29 year-old Robinson, He has been looking at Brooker no different than any previous foe.
“I look at every fight as a big fight. I see each fight as if I am fighting Canelo or Golovkin, so I get my self in the best shape I can be.”
Being that they are in the same city, there is the aforementioned history between the two fighters.
“We fought as amateurs, and I won that fight. Since the, we have sparred a couple times, and that has given me a great scouting report on him, and let’s just say I feel very comfortable going into this fight.”
Fighting against another Philly fighter is nothing new for Robinson as he already has a victory over Lamont McLaughlin.
“I have been through this, and these kind of fights bring out the best of me, and with a winop vrijdag, this will open up many doors for me that I never expected to be opened. I am looking for a complete performance, The fans will see power in both hands, craftiness, ring generalship and a huge heart. I just want to thank King’s Promotions, and I am looking to take home the UBF All-Americas Super Middleweight title.”
For the 26 year-old Brooker, he has been here before but he wants to get back in the win column after losing to undefeated Light Heavyweight Ahmed Elbiali in a fight that he took on short notice on 18 juli.
“I got right back in the gym after that fight. I been working for 12 weken. I have a new personal trainer Jermaine Clark and my new trainer Octavio Pineda,” said Brooker.
Brooker does not believe that the amateur loss to Robinson means anything going into Friday night.
“Yea, it does not mean anything. It was my 3rd amateur fight. The sparring sessions were good. I treated them like I wanted to get some revenge for losing to him, and I am very confident after those sessions. This fight for me is about getting this belt . People will see me outwork him and outclass him.”
Brooker has made his name throughout the boxing circles with his willing to fight and defeat anybody at anytime. That is evidenced by his wins over Leo Hall, John Magda, Antowyan Aikens and Gabriel Pham. Brooker also stepped up to face Elbiali, Ronald Gavril and Ronald Ellis, and he became a favorite on national television because of his tough as nails style.
“Robinson is just another guy in front of me. I been in and defeated much more experienced fighters then him. He has not have anything that I have not seen in the ring. Ik kijk niet langs hem heen, Ik kijk door hem heen. I was beating Gavril before the fight was unjustly stopped. He went on to barely lose in a bid for a world title and now he is getting a rematch with him, so that just shows what level I am on. I want that rematch or (WBC kampioen) David Benevidez.”
