New M- Challenge welterweight champion Mural Abdulaev is crowned by

Ingusjetia, Russland (Juni 7, 2015) – Last night at M-en utfordring 58: Battle in the Mountains 4,Mural “Jeger” Abdulaev won a unanimous 5-round decision over Marcelo Brito to capture the vacant M-1 Challenge welterweight title, outdoors in Ingushetia, Russland.

 

Abdulaev (13-10, 6 KO / TKO, 2 SUB), bekjempelse av Russland, remained unbeaten in M-1 Global competition with his third victory. Brito (13-6-0, 2 KO / TKO, 5 SUB), who replaced his injured Brazilian countryman Igor Fernandes, made his M-1 Global debut.

Brasilianske veteran Charles “Gracie” Andrade (28-23-1, 6 KO / TKO, 22 SUB) needed only 34 seconds to force previously undefeated Russian middleweight Abukar Yandiev (4-1-0, 1 KO / TKO, 2 SUB) into submission with a heel hook.

The deal kicks off this weekend with a short tape delay broadcast of WSOF 21: Palmer vs. Horodecki from Edmonton Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Airing Juni 6 at Midnight ET, the event is headlined by WSOF featherweight champion Lance Palmer defending against Canada’s own Chris Horodecki, while WSOF heavyweight champion Smealinho Rama, another Canadian, defends the coveted title against Bulgarian powerhouse Blagoi Ivanov.

The 170-pound clash completes the all-welterweight Spike-broadcast main card of “Bellator MMA: Lima vs. Koreshkov.”

Known as “Semtex” for his explosive striking style, Nottingham, England native boasts an incredible 26 career knockout victories.

 

Olson returns to the Bellator cage for the first time since 2010, riding a wave of momentum that he has accrued on the regional scene. With experience against the likes of David Branch, Rick Hawn and John Howard, the New Hampshire representative will not be unaccustomed to fighting a competitor with the track record of Daley. It’s safe to say that Olson meets the criteria to be referred to as a “submission specialist,” having racked up nine of his 14 professional wins by making his opponents tap.

Six-time world champion Evgeny Gladkov (2-0-0) and two-time CIS medalist and Russian champion Maxim Plaksin (0-1-0) will be dressed in medieval warrior armor, fighting each other using replicas of medieval bladed weapons with a blunt edge

Brazilian invader Igor “Chatubinha” Fernandes (18-6-0, 2 KO / TKO, 13 SUB) will battle Russian foe Murad “Jeger” Abdulaev (12-1, 6 KO / TKO, 2 SUB) in the main event or the vacant M-1 Challenge welterweight title.

After winning the Bellator Season Nine middleweight tournament, Ward fell short in a bid for the championship against Alexander Shlemenko, who held the title at the time. This past February, Ward would bounce back on short notice in his debut as a welterweight with a first-round rear-naked choke submission victory over Curtis Millender at Bellator MMA: “British Invasion.”
