Mexican Olympians Enter the Ring in Mexico on Primetime Television as Bronze Medalist Misael Rodriguez & Lindolfo Delgado Compete in Separate Televised Attractions Saturday, Julho 22 from Lienzo Charro Parral

CHIHUAHUA, MÉXICO (Junho 26, 2017) – Ringstar Sports is proud to announce that two of Mexico’s brightest rising stars will return to action as 2016 medalhista olímpico de bronze Misael Rodriguez e 2016 Mexican Olympian Lindolfo Delgado will be featured on “From Parral to the World” tomando lugar Sábado, Julho 22 from Lienzo Charro Parral in Mexico and live on Televisa.

“I am from Linares Nuevo León, and being able to fight in the biggest state in Mexico for my second fight means so much to me,” said Delgado. “I know that we will have the support of the Mexican people during the fights and that I will demonstrate my skill and strength. I can’t wait to show the fans what the new generation of Mexican boxing looks and punches like. I’m proud to be on a card bringing world class boxing to Parral and live on Televisa for all the Mexican people.”
Televised coverage on Televisa begins at 10:30 p.m. CT and will give fans a chance to see two of the next great fighters in the long line of Mexican boxing champions as Rodriguez battles Colombia’s Jose David Mosquera in a six-round middleweight boutand Delgado takes on Venezuela’s Gustavo Vera in six-rounds of super lightweight action.
Three-time world champion and Mexican star Jhonny Gonzalez will look for his sixth straight victory when he takes on unbeaten Jessie Cris Rosales no evento principal.

At last year’s Rio games, the 23-year-old Rodriguezovercame incredible odds to win the first Olympic boxing medal for Mexico since Christian Bejerano in 2000. The Chihuahua native and his teammates had to resort to begging on public buses and streets in Mexico to raise money to compete in international boxing tournaments. He completed his road to the medal stand by defeating Egypt’s Hosam Bakr Abdin to clinch a medal in the middleweight division. Rodriguez made his pro debut in April with a dominant decision victory over Brian True in Los Angles.
A teammate of Rodriguez on the 2016 Equipe olímpica mexicana, Delgadomade his pro debut in style in April with a third round stoppage of Luis Angel Silva. The 22-year-old captured gold at the 2016 American Olympic Qualification to earn his trip to Rio. Born in Linares but training in Tijuana, Delgado compiled a 139-15 amateur record that included a victory over former world champion Amnat Ruenroeng.

“Brave Warriors In Action” PPV To air Saturday live from Mexico

In the six-round heavyweight bout opening the PPV broadcast, Tyrone “King of the Ring” Spong (8-0, 8 KOs) puts his perfect pro record on the line against Juan Carlos “Chino” Salas (6-11, 4 KOs). A native of Suriname who fights out of Miami, o 6′ 2″, 230-pound Spong is a former professional kickboxer (74-7-1, 46 KOs).

WBC SANCTIONS SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT ELIMINATOR BETWEEN UNDEFEATED DAVID BENAVIDEZ AND ROGELIO MEDINA FOR #2 MANDATORY TO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Now that sanction has officially been granted, the next fight for red-hot undefeated super middleweight David “O Red Flag” Benavidez will be an eliminator for the #2 mandatory challenger spot in the WBC’s world rankings against highly regarded contender Rogelio “Porquinho” Medina, de Sonora, México.
WBC #1-rated Callum Smith and WBC #2-rated Anthony Dirrell will fight for the vacant 168 WBC Championship (tentatively scheduled for May), the winner of that fight must then face undefeated WBC #3 contendor, Avni Yildirim, from Turkey. The champion at the end of those two fights will be mandated to face the winner of the Benavidez vs. Medina eliminator.
For Benavidez (17-0, 16 KOs), who served as chief sparring partner for middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin’s recent preparations to face Danny Jacobs, news of the fight with Medina is a welcome development.
“This is the biggest opportunity of my life and I’m not going to let it go to waste,” disse Benavidez. “I’m going to destroy this guy like I do everybody else. I have never trained this hard for a fight and I feel that, come fight time, I’ll be extremely strong and do it up.”
Considerado um prodígio do boxe por muitos, the 20-year-old Benavidez, who turned professional at age 16, is the brother of former interim WBA World Super Lightweight Jose Benavidez, and has been trained since age two by his father Jose Benavidez Sr.
Father/trainer Jose says everyone on Team Benavidez is aware of what’s at stake against the formidable Medina, who lost a controversial decision to IBF World Champion James DeGale’s last year, in a fight that many felt Medina won.
“We are excited and working really hard,” ele disse. “This is the toughest fight of his career, so we’re taking it super serious. This is a big opportunity for us to shine and look good and go to the next level. We were training with Golovkin here in Big Bear (Califórnia) and we’ve decided to stay here and keep training until the fight.”
“I know he’s a tough fighter and he’s been in a lot of wars, and he has a lot of experience, but I’m very motivated for this fight,” continued David. “We have a month and a half in training with Golovkin in camp already. Camp with him is hard work and training here in Big Bear gets you to the next level. The hard work I’m doing here will definitely get me this win.”
Promoter Lewkowicz says any remaining questions about young Benavidez will be answered in this fight.
“This is the final test for David Benavidez,” disse Lewkowicz. “If he does to this guy what he did to so man other fighters, it will be time for the world to acknowledge that David is going to be a star in boxing. This test will show everyone that he is truly everything we’ve been saying he is since he was a teenager. I am proud of the hard work he is doing and look forward to this great victory.”

Del Valle arrives in Dallas; Ready to Shine Saturday Night
Dallas, TX (Setembro 12, 2016) – IBF #8 super bantamweight Luis “Orlandito” Del Valle and his team arrived in Dallas this afternoon after leaving Puerto Rico earlier today.
Vale, who hails from Bayamon, meets unbeaten Diego De La Hoya, 15-0 (9 KO), Sábado evening over ten rounds in what is expected to be a classic Puerto Rico vs Mexico slugfest. The bout opens an HBO PPV telecast starting at 9 PM ET headlined by the junior middleweight championship fight between pound for pound superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and reigning WBO champion Liam Smith. The card takes place a short distance from Dallas in Arlington, TX at AT&T Stadium, best known as the home of the Dallas Cowboys.
Vale, 22-2 (16 KO), had grueling training camp to prepare for what he calls the biggest fight of his career. With his preparation in the books, Del Valle is supremely confident that the work he put in along with his significant experience advantage will guide him to victory.
