Falcao to fight for IBF Latino Title January 15 in Brazil

Sao Paolo, Brasil (Novembro 15, 2021) – Super middleweight standout Yamaguchi Falcao will look continue his winning ways when he fights an opponent to be determined Saturday, Janeiro 15 in Sao Paolo, Brasil.

Falcao’s WBC Latino title will be on the line as will the vacant IBF Latino championship in a ten round matchup.

Fresh off a dominant victory over veteran contender Jorge Daniel Miranda, Falcao is 19-1-1 as a pro with 8 nocautes. In his last two contests, the 33-year-old southpaw’s won the WBA Fedecaribe, WBC Latino and ABF Continental Americas super middleweight championships.

Falcao, a Bronze Medalist at the 2012 Jogos Olímpicos, also has plans to return to America and face a top 15 ranked opponent.

Falcao’s promoter, Jody Caliguire of Fire Fist Boxing Promotions, is happy his fighter will have another opportunity to entertain his native fans but is mapping out a strategy for the rest of 2022.

“Se tudo correr como planejado, we’re bringing Yama back to the US shortly after his fight in January. The biggest opportunities and best training resources are available to Yama here in the US. He’s long stated that he is more than happy to face any top 168 pound opponent. Silva confident ahead of Seldin showdown

St. Petersburg, FL (Outubro 7, 2021) –Willian “Baby Face” Silva will battle Cletus “Hebrew Hammer” Seldin for the NABA Super Lightweight title Saturday, Outubro 16 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Nova Iorque.

Originally from Brazil and currently residing in Florida, Silva has an excellent professional record of 28 ganha com 3 defeats and 18 vitórias por nocaute. O 33 year old has faced the likes of undisputed lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez, top rated Arnold Barboza and Felix Verdejo.

One of New York’s most popular fighters, Seldin will be fighting for the 22nd time in the Empire State. The Long Island native enters the ring with an excellent 25-1 registro e 21 wins by stoppage. Notable fighters he’s defeated include Zab Judah and Roberto Ortiz.

A win by Seldin brings him closer to a world title shot but Silva has other plans.

“This is a great opportunity and I’m going to make the most of,” Silva said from his training camp in St. Petersburg, FL. “Seldin is a good opponent but I have the necessary skills to have my hands raised on October 16. I also know a win in this fight would prove that I am among the best fighters in my division and move me closer to my goal of winning a world title.”

Silva’s manager, Jody Caliguire of Fire Fist Management, is excited and believes his fighter will emerge victorious.

“Willian was actually scheduled to fight in October 16 in Florida before this fight came together. It’s almost as if this was meant to happen and I know Silva has what it takes to pull this out. He’s training with Hall of Fame coach Jim McLaughlin, who’s brought out the best in him. Seldin is in for a big surprise!"

The bout airs live on Triller and precedes the Verzuz battle between hip hop legends Big Daddy Kane and KRS-One. Both fighters are promoted by Star Boxing.

Fire Fist Boxing fighters set for UFC Fight Pass bouts in St. Petersburg

Tampa, FL (Fevereiro 13, 2019) – Fire Fist Boxing’s Connor “The Kid” Coyle, Willian “Baby Face” Silva and Mark Reyes Jr. will all fight as part of a UFC Fight Pass card Saturday, Fevereiro 16 at the Coliseum in St. Petersburg, FL.

This excellent evening of boxing is promoted by Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions in association with Rite Hook Promotions.

Headlining the telecast is an eight round middleweight showdown between Coyle and Travis “Dirty Red” Scott.

Splitting time between his native Ireland and St. Petersburg, FL, Coyle’s a perfect 8-0 com 3 vitórias por nocaute. He’s become a big draw in the Tampa-St Pete area and most recently scored a sixth round TKO of Danny Pastrana. The talented Coyle has been featured as a prospect to watch out for by media members from both sides of the pond.

Silva, who has an excellent 26-2 professional ledger and 15 vitórias por nocaute, scored a dominant 9th round TKO over Jose Forero last October. After fighting most of his career at lightweight, Silva’s sights are set on the best at 140 pounds but he must first get past Solis.

Tampa, FL (Fevereiro 18, 2018) – Lightweight contender William “Baby Face” Silva returns to the ring Saturday, Março 3 to face rugged Rogelio Casarez at Banquet Master in Clearwater, FL.

Hailing from Sao Paolo, Brazil but residing in Florida, Silva has an excellent 24-1 professional record with 14 of those victories by knockout. The former WBO Latino Lightweight titlist fought highly-touted Felix Verdejo on HBO in 2016 but came up short in a gutsy performance. Silva is looking to get back into the limelight but must first pass a tough test on the 3rd.
Known by his moniker “El Loco,” Casarez has proven his willingness to fight anybody, a qualquer hora, em qualquer lugar. Ricky “Cowboy” Tomlinson of Thonotasassa, FL meets unbeaten Ernest Hall of Baltimore, MD in a four round featherweight contest. Tomlinson, 5-3-2 (3 KO) is a big local draw and fought his entire career in the Sunshine State.
Middleweight prospect Antonio Tarver Jr. de Orlando, FL looks to run his record to 5-0 when he meets Dallas, TX based veteran Carlos Dixon in a four round contest. Tarver Jr. is the son of former unified champion Antonio Tarver.

MONTE CARLO, Monaco (Maio 3, 2017)- The World MMA Association (WMMAA) anunciou que é 2017 Campeonato pan-americano, o maior evento de MMA de todos os tempos nas Américas, será realizada esta vinda Julho 14-15 em monterrey, México.
Seleções dos Estados Unidos, Canadá, México, Costa Rica, Nicarágua, Colômbia, Equador, Venezuela, Uruguai, Brasil, junto com o convidado especial Espanha, são esperados para competir no 2017 Campeonato pan-americano.
“Representando seu país na maior competição continental de nações, atinge você, seu coração começa a acelerar em antecipação à grande jornada na história do WMMAA,” Presidente da Divisão Pan-americana Tomas Yu dito.
O Conselho de Administração do PAN-AM se reuniu novamente no mês passado durante uma colaboração com o USA Boxing, durante o último 2017 Qualificatória de elite ocidental & Aberto Regional, quando o anúncio provisório foi feito que Monterrey (México) seria o anfitrião do evento em julho.

FITE TV announces television carriage deal for the WMMAA Pan-American Division Championships October 8-9 in Chile

NOVA IORQUE, Nova Iorque (Agosto 26, 2016) — TV FITE, in conjunction with the World MMA Association (WMMAA), announced today that it will be broadcasting the inaugural WMMAA Pan-American Division Championships live on FITE TV starting with the preliminary matches Sábado, Outubro 8, and the final Sunday October 9, 2016.
FITE is a television network, via a downloadable app, that specializes in all things fighting, including boxing, luta, MMA and Martial Arts. FITE is a free app that is available for download at the Google Play or iTunes app stores.
Em Outubro. 8-9, the WMMAA is bringing the top amateur MMA competitors from around the world to Santiago, Chile for a two-day competition. Com a vitória, Freitas of Salvador, Brasil melhorou sua marca sem mácula a 14-0, enquanto entalhando seu oitavo knockout.
O 23 year-old Freitas registrou dois knockdowns, ambos com ganchos de esquerda na luta, que durou apenas 79 segundos.
Freitas, que é sobrinho do ex-quatro vezes campeão mundial Acelino “Bumbum” Freitas, irá agora olhar para voltar para os Estados Unidos em um ataque maior visibilidade.
