Against a southpaw, the left hook to the liver is there, a punch I’m known for,” Remillard commented after the fight. “He was a little sloppier than I expected. Czułem się dobrze; Jestem 24/7 in the gym. Maybe I’ll have one more fight this year to get in some rounds, and then get ready for a big 2018. Kevin Dever Sport Zarząd podpisuje Niepokonany Kubański wadze półciężkiej Luis Garcia

(L-R – Kevin Duty, Luis Garcia i Patrick Brown)
Peekskill, N. Y.. (Grudzień 1, 2015) – Kevin Dever Sport Zarząd ogłosił podpisanie niepokonany kubańskiego wadze półciężkiej perspektywą Luis “Lew” Garcia do ekskluzywnego kontraktu menedżerskiego.
Prawie osiem lat temu,Garcia (12-0, 9 KO) uciekł z Kuby do Meksyku z kolega boksera Aleksiej Acosta. Garcia (12-0, 9 KO), którzy osiedlili się w Cork, Irlandia, made his professional debut in 2008. He now lives in Peekskill, Nowy Jork.
“To było większe zmiany, kiedy przeniósł się do Irlandii niż to było sześć tygodni temu, gdy przeprowadziłem się tutaj,” the 28-year-old Garcia explained. “It was a lot harder in Ireland because I didn’t speak a word of English. I learned English from the street, watching TV and reading. It’s not a big change for me to move around because I traveled all over the world when I was a member of the Cuban National Team.
Garcia nie walczył od prawie czterech lat z powodu wcześniejszych problemów menedżerskich, ale jego zaplanowano powrót jest w sobotę noc, Grudzień 5, against an opponent to be determined in a six-round bout at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. His last fight was a win by eight-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated (12-0) Alexander Johnson w grudniu 30, 2011 w Cabazon, Kalifornia.
“To nie była moja decyzja, aby nie walczyć z ostatnich czterech lat,” Garcia added. “Something happened with my now former manager and promoter. I trained all the time, sparred dużo, and did as much as I could do in the gym. I still had a contract until it expired. I’ve known Kevin for 2-3 lat. He asked me why I wasn’t fighting and I told him everything. He said to call him when my contract expired because he wanted to manage me and that’s what I did.
“Ameryka daje mi dobrą okazję, lepiej niż w Anglii czy Irlandii, and I’m going to finish my boxing career here. I’m fighting December 5th and taking things step by step. I’m not going to rush. There are a lot of great fighters in the light heavyweight division and I hope to be in the mix next year.
Garcii dwie walki przed swoją ostatnią przed Johnsona były imponujące 2010 przepusty techniczne byłego mistrza świata Byron Mitchell (28-6-1) i Jorge Rodriguez Olivera (19-1), odpowiednio, w drugim i szóstym rund.
“Zostawiłem boks ze złym smakiem w ustach, ale szukałem wrócić do boksu,” powiedział: Kevin Duty, który wspólnie zarządza Garcia z Patrick Brown. “I knew him from Ireland and I always wanted to manage this kid. He called to tell me his contract had expired and we worked out a deal that brought him here to live in New York.
I honestly don’t see any rust watching him spar. I know sparring isn’t fighting but everybody in the gym stops to watch him workout.
Correa is the son of 1972 Mistrz olimpijski Emelio Correa, Sr., którzy nadal był zaangażowany w kubańskim boksie amatorskim, gdy jego syn został wybrany do reprezentowania ponad Garcia Kubie w 2008 Igrzyska Olimpijskie. Correa lost in the championship final to James DeGale, Brytyjczyk, który obecnie jest International Boxing Federation (IBF) Super średniej titlist.
A former No. 1 półśredniej rywal miejsce w świecie, Barnes’ tylko trzy straty w pro miały mistrzów świata Felix “Tito” Trynidad, Saul Mamby i Luis Ramon “Jurij Boy” Kampus.
“To wspaniały dzieciak, bardzo inteligentny i taktowny,” Delury skomentował. “Jest trochę rdzy z bycia off cztery lata, ale Luis mieszka dobry, healthy lifestyle and he hasn’t suffered any damage in the ring. On jest 28, wykształcony, and a true gentleman. It’s been a pleasure working with him. Luis is a gifted boxer. He’s extremely exciting to watch and has a perfect blend of offense and defense.
