Claggett (23-3-1, 16 KOs), 26, is the reigning Canadian Professional Boxing Council and Canadian welterweight champion. As an amateur in Calgary, he captured four Alberta Championships and three Golden Gloves titles, all prior to his 18th Geburtstag.
South African-native Van Heerden (23-1-1, 12 KOs), fighting out of Santa Monica (SOWIE), is a former International Boxing Organization (IBO) und International Boxing Federation (IBF) Weltmeister im Weltergewicht. (Van Heerden is pictured to the left.)
The 8-round co-feature matches undefeated Lancaster, Kalifornien Neeco “Rooster” Macias (11-0, 4 KOs) gegen Limberth Ponce, Jr. (10-2, 8 KOs), of Rock Island, Illinois. Unbeaten Baltimore welterweight prospect Malik Hawkins (6-0, 5 KOs) is scheduled to fight an opponent to be determined in a 4-round bout.
The remainder of the undercard features promising Las Vegas-based prospects in four-round bouts: Weltergewicht Jeremy “J Flash” Nichols (2-0, 2 KOs), Junior Federgewicht Sal Perez (2-0) und Bantamgewicht Sergio Lopez (2-3, 1 KO). LAS VEGAS – “Knockout Night at the D,” the boxing fight card to feature headliners Zab Judah vs. Josh Torres at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC), has been cancelled for Samstag, März 12.
Derek Stevens, Vorstandsvorsitzender von die D Las Vegas and DLVEC, sagte,, “Letzter Nacht, I received multiple calls from the Nevada Athletic Commission regarding eligibility concerns. After our discussions, it became apparent the fight card could not move forward. Although I’m disappointed with the situation, I appreciate the phone calls and look forward to working with the Nevada Athletic Commission on future boxing events at the DLVEC.”

LAS VEGAS (März 9, 2016) – Top performing varsity high school players will showcase their talent in the 1st Annual Las Vegas Basketball Classic auf Dienstag, März 15 bei Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas, with the event starting at 5:00 p.m. mit Türen, die auf 4:30 p.m.
The evening begins with two all-star games featuring elite players from high schools across the city. The girls’ game will kick off the event with a boys’ game to follow. The excitement doesn’t stop there, further action on the court will feature 3-point and slam-dunk contests. Professional boxer Ashley Theophane of Mayweather Promotions and UNLV Running Rebels Men’s Basketball Center Stephen Zimmerman will judge the dunk contest, in addition to other special guests.
“We are excited to bring the inaugural edition of this great event that focuses on student athletes who are working hard in school and on the court. At the famous Wildcard Gym in Los Angeles, Claggett gained invaluable experience working with Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach. He also benefitted from working out at Mayweather Gym in Las Vegas, where he learned from trainer Roger Mayweather, and sparred there with two-division world champion Jesse Vargas. He was a baseball prospect who didn’t box until he was 21. “I played sports in high school, baseball was my first love, and I dreamed of becoming a big leaguer,” Gutierrez said. “Boxing found me. I was attending college at Southern Nevada and working, but the first day I walked into Johnny Tocco’s gym, I fell in love with boxing. I’ve watched so many greats train there and I learned a lot from them.”
“I have a lot of respect for Spinks, but I’m just fighting the man, not his family. His grandfather was world champion, but I’m not fighting his grandfather. I’m excited to be fighting him on CBS Sports Network.”
Spinks (11-3-1, 7 KOs), who fights out of Huntington Beach, SOWIE, is not only the grandson of former world heavyweight champion and 1976 Olympiasieger, “Neon” Leon Spinks, his great uncle is world light heavyweight and heavyweight champion, in addition to being a 1976 Olympiasieger, Michael Spinks. And young Leon, die gedreht 28 this past Valentine’s Day, is also the nephew of former 2-division world champion Cory Spinks.
His familiar last name in boxing has been a blessing, albeit one that has also put a lot of pressure on Leon. “Things have always been that way (Druck) because I’m named after my grandfather, ‘Pops,'” Leon III explained. “From the beginning of my pro career, I was put in tough fights because of my name, just tough fights…real wars.
“I got to 8-0 but that hurt me because I couldn’t get good fights. But I’ve always really been my own man. This is a very, sehr, very big event for me, my family will be in the house supporting me.”

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Resurrection Kampf-Allianz (RFA) president Ed Soares announced today that the RFA will be returning to South Dakota in April and is set to crown its first light-heavyweight champion and a new bantamweight champion. Im Main Event, Devin “Brown Bear” Clark will fight for a world title in his hometown against top Brazilian prospect Rafael “Gaucho” Viana. Im Co-Main Event, Joey “The Beast” Miolla and Leandro “Pitbull” Higo will battle for the vacant bantamweight crown.

Clark (5-0) is the most successful 205-pound fighter in RFA history and is looking to become the promotion’s first light-heavyweight champion in front of his hometown crowd. Clark is an NJCAA wrestling champion and a Golden Gloves boxing champion that has quickly seen his name rise to the top of several MMA light-heavyweight prospect rankings. The Lincoln High School graduate has earned over half of his career wins inside the RFA Octagon and will be looking for the biggest win of his career in the main event of RFA 37.
“It’s an honor to fight for the inaugural RFA light-heavyweight title in front of my hometown crowd in Sioux Falls,” stated Clark. “Becoming the first RFA light-heavyweight champion will mean even more to me since I get to do it against such a talented and tough opponent.”
Viana (6-0) is the older brother of Bellator star Guilherme Viana and he also trains alongside UFC star Glover Teixeira. He is a BJJ black belt and the reigning Shooto Brasil light-heavyweight champion. Viana, like Clark, has proven to be clinical with his finishing ability and is eager to fight outside of his native Brazil for the first time. His international debut will also be his first fight televised worldwide and Viana is looking to take full advantage of it.
“I am very honored to be given this opportunity,” stated Viana. “This will be my first international fight and it is a great honor to fight for the inaugural RFA light-heavyweight title. I will put on a great show for the fans at RFA 37.”

The vacant RFA bantamweight title will be up for grabs between two men who made their RFA debut on the same card last summer in back-to-back bouts. Joey Miolla (8-1) and Leandro Higo (15-2) represented their home countries on the historic “USA vs. BRAZIL” event that took place last August at RFA 29. Both men were victorious that night and showed why they are two of the most highly-regarded 135-pound prospects in the sport. RFA 37 will also feature one of South Dakota’s favorite sons as Jordon Larson (6-2) is set to return in the welterweight feature fight. Larson will be making his fourth appearance for the RFA in his hometown of Sioux Falls against Colorado native Brian Camozzi (5-2). Larson, who has been the recipient of three of the loudest ovations in RFA history, will once again make the walk to the RFA Octagon in front of his adoring hometown fans. He will face Camozzi, who is the younger brother of UFC star Chris Camozzi. The younger Camozzi brother made a huge statement in his RFA debut in January. He showcased his dynamic skill set by becoming the first person to finish Tyler Milner and he did it in less than one round.
RFA 37 – Viana vs Clark takes place Freitag, April 15th am Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, Süddakota. His road back to the top starts Samstag Nacht,März 12, against upset-minded Josh “Pitbull” Torres, in the 10-round main event kicking off the new monthly pro boxing series, “Knockout Night at the D”, Lüften Live (8 p.m. PT / 11 p.m. UND) auf CBS Sports Network live from the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC).

The 24-year-old Torres (15-4-2, 7 KOs) may not have the same name recognition as many of Judah’s past opponents, but the determined prospect from Albuquerque, NM has nothing to lose and everything to gain fighting Judah.
“I believe this fight can be life changing, not only for me, but also for upcoming New Mexico fighters,” Torres commented. “Boxing doesn’t get a lot of attention in my state.”
Torres is a protégé of the late 5-time world championJohnny Tapia. His brother-in-law, Chris Chavez, now trains Torres, who has been sparring with fellow New Mexican and former world junior middleweight champion, Austin Trout, to prepare for the left-handed Judah.
Torres is also a professional barber who’d like to clip Judah, sozusagen. “I haven’t had a promoter or manager,” he explained the need for him to be a barber as well as a pro boxer. “I’ve always had to work to pay bills. It’s just had to be that way in my boxing career.”

LAS VEGAS (Februar 26, 2016) – the D Las Vegas and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC), along with Neon Star Media and Roy Englebrecht Promotions, have announced an agreement in which Title Boxing will be the official apparel and gloves partner of the “Knockout Night at the D” professionelle Boxserie.
Eight “Knockout Night at the D” events are planned in 2016, beginnend März 12, will are live from the DLVEC open air venue located adjacent to the D Las Vegas. The inaugural event, jedoch, will take place inside the DLVEC’s 20,000-square-foot tent.
