A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Safe Kids Johnson County. “This will be a special event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Turner Boxing Academy,” explained Turner, who is Romero’s manager/head trainer. I’m happy I got the fight, even if I had to open the show, because I’ve learned to embrace the opportunity. I trained to fight a 5’ 2”, righty and fought a southpaw. I was comfortable, regardless, because I prepare at camp for anything that may happen. I wanted the fight and gave him (โมราเลส) two passes on weight. CANASTOTA, NY – MARCH 18, 2024 – The International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum, which is celebrating its 35th Anniversary in 2024, is pleased to announce that Hall of Famer “The Golden Boy” Oscar De La Hoya will attend the Banquet of Champions and other events planned for planned for the 2024 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend set for June 6-9.
“From Olympic gold to world titles in six divisions, Oscar De La Hoya captured the imagination of boxing fans around the world,” said Hall of Fame director Edward Brophy. “We are very much looking forward to welcoming ‘The Golden Boy’ back to Canastota for the Hall of Fame’s 35th Anniversary celebration.”

De La Hoya capped a 223-5 (153 คอส) amateur career by capturing lightweight gold at the 1992 โอลิมปิกเกมส์. He turned pro the same year and captured his first world title – the WBO super featherweight – in only his 12th pro bout and would go on to win 10 world titles in six weight divisions.

A legendary boxing publicist, เมอเรย์กู๊ดแมน (บรองซ์) brought his son into the sweet science when Bob was only eight years old. The rest was historic for the Goodmans, who are both inductees in several Halls of Fame, including the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
“This is a great honor for me and my father,” Bob said. “I wish he were alive today to be there. I’m a boxing lifer. I was eight years old going to all the training camps with my father, who was a boxing writer and sports editor for the INS (Hearst News Service) บริการ. The joke is I was conceived at Grossinger’s (Catskill Resort Hotel training camp). Boxing just came into my life. My dad and I had some businesses in promotions and public relations, all different kinds of sports-related businesses, but there was always boxing.
