Cancun, MÉXICO (Fevereiro 3, 2019) – Leonard Garcia came back from an early knockdown to defeat Julian Lane, by a second-round knockout in the main event of“BKFC 4: EUA vs. México” from Beto Avila Stadium in Cancun, Mexico and live on pay-per-view.

By February 3, Beltran and Lopez will have fought each other twice in BKFC competition, but that only tells a fraction of the story of their rivalry. The fighters first faced each other in 2008 como parte de “King of the Cage: Opposing Force” in a fight where Lopez forced Beltran into submission in the first round.

Lopez’s victory was his sixth consecutive MMA victory at the time, while Beltran had a four-fight winning streak snapped. Despite being dropped early in the fight, Lopez was able to recover and battle his way to a unanimous decision victory in a five-round contest.

While the two men would not square-off again for nearly a decade, they continued to have success in their respective MMA careers. Beltran continued to work his counters, but accidentally poked Lopez in the eye just over one minute into the round. After Lopez was given time to recover, the action picked up with increased intensity, as the two men stayed close to one another throwing bombs from short range.

After a wild exchange led to a quick referee-ordered timeout to clean the blood off of Lopez, the final moments of the third round showcased a memorable flurry of big punches from massive men who had already spent a significant amount of time in the ring against each other.

More of the same was on display in round four with both men working through large amounts of blood streaming down their faces. The fifth round was another bloody, brutal stanza that saw powerful punches thrown all the way until the end. Although Lopez raised his hands after the final bell rang, it was Beltran who would finally earn a victory against his rival.

“A principal coisa que eu estou focando no acampamento está trabalhando para fortalecer meu núcleo. Eu também jogar alguns socos um pouco diferente na formação do que se eu estivesse em uma luta real. Também estamos tentando ter cuidado com tiros do corpo, como socos no fígado. Mas meu condicionamento é grande e eu estou empurrando que cada vez mais difícil recentemente.”

 

O que as pessoas em torno de você disse sobre a luta implacável fazendo um retorno e você oficialmente assinar com BKFC?

 

 

 

“Para a pessoa média, nua luta junta pode parecer loucura. Mas se você passo para trás e pensar sobre isso, MMA usado para parecer um conceito louco também de volta ao dia. Isto é realmente apenas uma outra forma de dois lutadores profissionais lá competindo uns contra os outros.”

 

O que você sabe sobre Brok Weaver e como você espera que a luta para se desdobrar?

 

 

 

“Eu assisti algumas das lutas recentes do tecelão. Parece que ele lança socos rápidos e é um cara duro. Minha linha de fundo é que eu nunca quero esquecer ninguém. Eu cometi esse erro no passado e pagou o preço por isso. Mas eu definitivamente não acho Weaver pode me vencer. CHELYABINSK, Rússia (Junho 1, 2018) – middleweight brasileira Bruno Silva shocked Alexander Shlemenko with an opening round stoppage to set-up a potential showdown with M-1 Challenge champion Artiom Frolov, who defeated American challenger Joe “Diesel” Riggs earlier this evening (Sex) em M-1 Desafio 93 em Chelyabinsk, Rússia.
To say the least, Silva (18-6-0) was impressive in his M-1 Global debut, knocking out the former Bellator champion Shlemenko (56-11-1), no 2:54 do primeiro turno. Russian star Shlemenko, who was the M-1 Grand Prix middleweight champion, had been 6-0-0 in M-1 Global competition going into The Rage to take on Silva in the main event.

Silva trapped Shlemenko on the ropes and unloaded a powerful barrage of punches to the head and body, as well as one well-executed knee to the face, leaving the Russian star out cold on his feet and the stunned crowed silent.
No evento co-featured, Frolov improved his perfect MMA pro record to 11-0-0, 8-0-0 in M-1 fights, when the doctor stopped the fight in the second round due to a knee injury suffered by Riggs, the former UFC fighter.

Ukrainian flyweight Alexander Pletenko (14-4-0), also fighting for the first time in an M-1 Global event, won a third-round unanimous decision over Chris Kelades (12-4-0), the native of Greece who lives in Canada.

SÃO PETERSBURGO, Rússia (Maio 31, 2018) – The official weight in was held today foramanhã M-1 Desafio 93 at Chelyabinsk, Rússia.
American fighter Joe “Diesel” Riggs experienced a long, costly trip from the U.S. to Chelyabinsk to challenge undefeated M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Artiom Frolov in the co-featured event.
“On my way to Russia,” Riggs explained his journey, “we took an Uber to get to the airport. We had an accident. I wanted to take another Uber, but the cops would not let me leave, because they wanted to send me to the hospital to get checked. One of my cornermen had to go to the hospital because he was seated in the part of the car that has been damaged.
“I called the guys in M-1 Global and told them I was not going to make the flight to California. They were freaking out and said there is no way I could miss the flight and come the next day because it would mess everything up. I bought tickets for another flight to California, which would give me around 40 minutes to get in on time for the connection flight to Moscow. I had a choice of either taking my bags and staying overnight in California or leaving my bags and flying right away to Russia. I chose the second option, left my bags, and made it to Moscow. Agora, I kind of regret that decision because it cost me around $20,000, which I will lose in sponsorship, but it’s all good, everything happens for a reason.
“Winning the belt would be a great end for my career. M-1 Global is a fantastic organization! This will be my fourth world title and it really means a lot for me. The guy I’m fighting, Artem Frolov, is not well-known, but he will probably be one of the best fighters I’ve ever fought! Anytime you fight for the title, you feel pressure. I was supposed to be the UFC champion when I was 22, but I would not show up for certain fights. I would not fight up to my potential and now I want to enter The Rage, show my best, and get that belt.”

Kelades fez o seu sucesso M-1 estreia mundial em novembro passado no M-1 Challenge 86, quando derrotou Oleg Lichkovakha por meio de uma apresentação na terceira rodada (Kimura).

 

Tem sido mais do que uma meia- ano desde o seu M-1 Global de estreia. Por que fazer uma longa pausa, tais?

 

 

 

CK: “É difícil acreditar que já faz tanto tempo. Era para eu lutar em março, mas eu tinha problemas para obter meu visto de viagem garantidos, então eu estava remarcado para lutar em abril, mas, infelizmente, o evento foi cancelado. Assim, Eu estive pronto para lutar, mas as circunstâncias mudaram as datas. Estou animado para esta luta e ansioso para lutar em Chelyabinsk. Duas vezes minhas lutas foram canceladas e foi extremamente frustrante, mas ele me deu mais tempo para trabalhar no meu jogo e aprender novas técnicas.”

 

Em seu M-1 Global de estreia, você tem sido muito cauteloso durante as duas primeiras rodadas, mas na terceira rodada você tem uma submissão. É o seu estilo de luta real ou você só queria ganhar a luta de estréia, sem correr riscos?

 

 

 

CK: Cada luta é diferente. Às vezes, em um novo ambiente leva mais tempo para sentir o começo luta e você tem que ler o adversário antes de reagir de forma muito agressiva.”

 

O que você pode dizer sobre o seu próximo adversário, Alexander Pletenko? Você tem registros similares. Será que isso significa que você tem estilos de luta semelhantes?

 

 

 

CK: “Eu vi algumas lutas dele e eu não acho que nós temos estilos semelhantes. Eu estive lutando contra os melhores caras do mundo e em um determinado nível é mais difícil de terminar lutas.”

 

Antes de ingressar na M-1 Global você nunca tinha lutado em qualquer lugar exceto América do Norte. Qual é a sensação de lutar a meio mundo de distância de sua casa?

 

 

 

CH: “Eu realmente gostava de mim pela última vez em minha estréia com a M-1 Global. A viagem é um pouco de um aborrecimento com a distância, mas eu realmente gosto de lutar internacionalmente e aqui na Rússia. Eu gosto de lutar fora, porque eu gosto de ter que provar a mim mesmo para outros lutadores e fãs. Isso me motiva!”
