(Oktober 19, 2017, 2017) – His induction into the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame (CBHOF) pada hari Sabtu malam, Oktober 28, as part of the six-member Class of 2017, will cap the boxing career of retiring judge Clark Sammartino di 13TH tahunan Majlis Makan Malam Gala CBHOF Induksi di Ballroom Uncas di Mohegan Sun.

A graduate of Brown University, the now 80-year-old Sammartino has enjoyed two other careers as an oral surgeon and investment advisor at Blue Fin in Providence, in addition to his role as an international boxing judge since 1985.
“I first got into boxing because Joey Angelo married my cousin,” Sammartino explained. “He fought back in the early forties. Joey fought Willie Pep twice and Sandy Saddler. That’s what got me started. We used to have the great Isnin Night Fights at Rhode Island Auditorium and I remember watching Rocky Marciano fight “Tiger” Ted Lowry there.”
Because he was a successful oral surgeon, Clark could take long weekends to judge fights all over the world. His first and most memorable world title fight was Vinny Paz-Greg Haughn I. Through his long career, Sammartino judged more than 400 pergaduhan pro, Termasuk 50 major world title fights.

Today at the Luis Munoz Marin Airport in Carolina, Puerto Rico, Puerto Rican world title contender, Thomas Dulorme ( 22-1, 14 KOs ) alongside with his team, are heading to Arlington, Texas for the biggest fight of Dulorme’s career schedule for this Sabtu, April 18 against Terence Crawford ( 25-0, 17 KOs ) of Nebraska, for the vacant WBO World super lightweight title.
The fight will air live on HBO as part of its series ‘HBO Boxing After Dark’, which starts from 9:45 pm (EST) di College Park Center, located in University of Texas at Arlington.
“I’m just two pounds over the weight limit. It is a matter of reaching Texas and continue the work plan for the fight,” said Thomas Dulorme who continued, “I will not let my people of Puerto Rico and the Latinos down”.

Felix Pagan Pintor ditambah kepada pasukan Dulorme

Jurulatih legenda, Felix Pagan Pintor, telah disahkan untuk menyertai kumpulan elit Puerto Rican jurulatih yang akan menyokong Thomas Dulorme ( 22-1, 14 Ini KO ) di sudut beliau. Pada Sabtu, 18 April, Dulorme akan menghadapi cabaran besar dalam kerjaya muda kerana beliau berhadapan dengan “2014 Boxer tahun” dan juara dunia ringan Terence Crawford ( 25-0,17 Ini KO ) dalam pertandingan Kejohanan Dunia yang dijadualkan 12 pusingan untuk kosong gelaran WBO Dunia Junior welterweight. Pergaduhan akan diadakan di College Park Center terletak di kampus Universiti Texas, Arlington. Fight ini akan disiarkan secara langsung pada 'HBO Boxing Selepas Gelap', bermula pada 9:45 petang. Felix Pagan Pintor mempunyai lebih 40 tahun pengalaman tinju. Dalam 1977 dia mempunyai pro-debut sebagai seorang pejuang dan pada masa yang sama menjadi jurulatih. Beliau telah bekerja lebih 60 serangan kejohanan dunia dengan pejuang legenda seperti Wilfredo Gomez, Hector 'Macho’ Camacho, Ivan Calderon, Paul Williams, Carlos Santos, antara lain.

Fakta pejuang:
Crawford telah diiktiraf sebagai 'Boxer 2014 tahun', anugerah yang diberikan oleh Persatuan Tinju Penulis Amerika ( BWAA ) untuk kemenangan perhatian ke atas Ricky Burns, yang daripadanya dia mengambil gelaran dunia WBO. Beliau kemudian berjaya mempertahankan gelarannya dua kali terhadap Yuriorkis Gamboa dan Ray Beltran.

Sebaliknya Dulorme adalah segar dari kemenangan terhadap pencabar dunia Hank Lundy dan sebelum itu, Dulorme berakhir rekod tanpa ditewaskan Karim Mayfield dalam pertarungan yang dimenanginya dengan keputusan sebulat suara.

Dulorme kini menduduki tempat #2 oleh Persatuan Tinju Dunia ( WBA ), #3 oleh Majlis Tinju Dunia (WBC ) dan Persekutuan Tinju Antarabangsa ( IBF ), manakala #5 oleh Pertubuhan Tinju Dunia ( WBO )
