NEW YORK – March 26, 2020 - SHOWTIME Sports will delve into its rich archive of historic boxing events to re-air the epic Israel Vázquez vs. Rafael Márquez trilogy this Saturday, Maret 28 ing 10 P.M. Lan / PT BANDILA. The telecasts will also be available via the SHOWTIME streaming service and SHOWTIME ANYTIME®.



The fierce Mexican rivals squared off in three consecutive award-winning fights which aired live on SHOWTIME in 2007 lan 2008 before meeting for a fourth and final time in 2010. The first three bouts were all contested with the WBC Super Bantamweight World Championship on the line.

“We all knew the first fight would be great, and it more than lived up to expectations,” said Bernstein, who called all four fights. “The second fight was exciting, and when fight three came, I didn’t think they could top Nos. 1 lan 2, but they did just that. It’s one of the top five fights I’ve ever announced or seen. The ebb and flow was tremendous, and you almost felt it didn’t matter who ended up getting the decision because they both had been so great. I can’t admire two boxers more than these two men.”

Las Vegas, NV (Juli 18, 2018) – Undefeated Las Vegas native, 21-taun-lawas Damien “Sugar” Vazquez (14-0, 7 KOs), wants to get in the ring with Romawi “Chocolatito” Gonzalez (46-2, 38 KOs), when he makes his return to the ring, rumored to be on the undercard of Canelo vs. GGG ing September 15, 2018.

 

 

 

Vazquez is the younger brother of former three-time super bantamweight world champion, Israel Vázquez. He’s been making noise in the lower weight classes since he captured the NABF Junior Flyweight Title as a teenager, ing umur 17. Before turning pro, Vazquez compiled an impressive record of (83-3, 46 KOs), unheard of in the amateurs. Vazquez is currently rated WBA #14, putting him in position to land a big fight, possibly a dream bout with Roman Gonzalez.

Las Vegas, NV (September 24, 2017) – Unbeaten super-flyweight prospect, Damien “Sugar” Vazquez (11-0, 6 KOs), makes his return to the ring on Oktober 14, 2017, at the Palenque de la Feria in Aguascalientes, Meksiko. Co-trained by former world champion, Clarence “Bones” Adams, Damien Vazquez is the younger brother of former two-time super-bantamweight world champion, Israel Vazquez, who also serves as his co-trainer. Bones and Israel train Vazquez at the Pangeran Ranch Boxing gym in Las Vegas. Prince Ranch Boxing’s Greg Hannley, co-manages Damien with his father, Oscar Vazquez. Damien has his own promotional company titled Promosi gula.
