QUINCY, Masa. (Noviembre 1, 2021) – Granite Chin Promotions most recent signee, New England welterweight champion Mike “Bad Boy” Ohan (13-1, 7 KOs), will close out 2021 headlining “Championship Road," el sábado en la noche, Noviembre 13, streaming live Saturday evening, Noviembre 13, enbxngtv.com, desde The Rim en Hampton, New Hampshire.

Ohan, fighting out of Holbrook (Massachusetts), will be in his first scheduled 10-round bout against Mexican challenger Israel “Filipino Tigre” Rojas (14-24, 5 KOs) in a super lightweight, pelea sin título.

“Ten rounds means a lot to me,” Ohan said. “It’s something I’ve watched my entire life because all legends fought 10-rounders. This is special for me. I’m ready to go and I will outclass my opponent.”

A former 2-time Southern New England Golden Gloves champion, the now 27-year-old Ohan is the son of a former prizefighter, middleweight Mike Ohan (14-6-2, 11 KOs – 1983-95), who sparred “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler. Ohan, Jr’s grandfather on his mother’s side also boxed.

“I always looked up to my father as a fighter,” Ohan., Jr. mencionado, “but he didn’t want me to box. I started late and didn’t go to the gym until I was 16 to help stay out of trouble. My father’s supportive and he goes to my fights. I fell in love with boxing right away and I feel even stronger about it today.”

HAMPTON, N.H. Rivera, luchando fuera de Hartford (Connecticut), controlled the action from the opening bell against his battle-tested opponent from Mexico, who had a tremendous experience advantage in his 147º pelea profesional, compared to Rivera’s fifth.
Valenzuela spent most of the time on the ropes, while Rivera teed-off on him, until a beautiful placed left hook by Rivera decked Valenzuela, who failed to get up until after referee Mike Ryan completed the 10-count.
A busload of Rivera’s fans drove five hours from Hartford through a snowstorm, arriving just before Rivera entered the ring. “Eso significa mucho para mí,” Rivera smiled as he spoke about his fans. “We’re more than a gym, somos familia.

The 32-year-old Kimber, who was the crowd favorite having lived several years in New Hampshire, overcame the determined Schulte for a hard-fought victory by way of a four-round majority decision.
“I was a little nervous with this being my first time in a pro ring,” Kimber admitted after his fight. “I hadn’t been in a ring for 1 ½ years and there was some ring rust. Ahora, I know what I need to good, and I’ll be a lot better next fight. This was my first camp and I’ve learned a lot. I’d like to stay busy, come back in late January, early February.”
Undefeated Whitman, MA junior welterweight prospect Micro “Mal hombre” Ohan, Jr.charged across the ring, unloading a powerful right that immediately sent Bardraiel Smith a la lona. Smith somehow got to his feet but Ohan quickly ended Smith’s night, only 30-second into round one, as referee Ryan waved off the action.
New England cruiserweight champion and the show’s co-promoter, Veterano de la guerra de Irak Chris Traietti (25-5, 19 KOs) superado Fabian Valdez en route to a win by second-round knockout in a stay-busy fight to close out 2017. The only New Hampshire native on the card, Claremont junior middleweight Ricky Ford(1-1-1) won his first pro fight, taking a lop-sided, four-round unanimous decision over pro MMA fighter Andy Aiello, who made his pro boxing debut.
In another stay-busy fight, former world-rated Ryan “El príncipe polaco” Kielczweski(27-3, 9 KOs), peleando fuera de Quincy (Massachusetts), needed only 51-seconds to finish off Mexican lightweight Francisco “El Mono” Medalla. Kielczweski hit Medal with a with a lethal left to the body, leaving Medal in obvious pain and unable to rise before the 10-count.
New Jersey middleweight Chris “Sandman” Thomas (7-0-1, 4 KOs) kept his unbeaten pro record intact with a second-round stoppage of Demetrius Thomas. Thomas used a rapid-fire combination to drop Thomas, who beat the count, but he was getting hammered when referee Ryan stopped the fight late in the second round.

HAMPTON, NH (Noviembre 13, 2017) – Granite Chin Promotions invades the Granite State on Sábado, Diciembre 9, showcasing some of New England’s top professional boxers on the “Rumble at The Rim” tarjeta, at The Rim in Hampton, New Hampshire.
A portion of the proceeds will go to Hampton Youth Association.
“We are excited to bring Granite Chin to New Hampshire,” promotor Chuck Shearns dicho. “The town of Hampton and its officials have really embraced us. We have teamed up with a great charity, Hampton Youth Association. The state boxing commission has been extremely encouraging and cooperative, que, francamente, is not something we are used to and that’s been a breath of fresh air.
