“FERIA de CAMPEONES” SANDOVAL, VAZQUEZ, AND SALAZAR WIN WBC TITLES IN AGUASCALIENTES, MX

Aguascalientes, MX (Aprili 30, 2018) – This past Saturday, Sugar Matangazo presented “FERIA de CAMPEONES”, an eleven bout card from Aguascalientes, Mexico. In the 12-round main event, super middleweight Bruno Sandoval (20-2-1, 16 Kos), who recently signed with Sugar Promotions, picked up a first round TKO over Devis Caceres (28-9-3, 19 Kos) capturing the WBC Latino Silver Super Middleweight title in the process. The co-main event saw Damien “Sugar” Vazquez (14-0, 7 Kos) pick up a ten round unanimous decision win over Luis Golindano (9-1, 6 Kos). The fight was close in the beginning as the two unbeaten fighters showed that neither wanted to taste defeat, but Vasquez began to pull away with his superior boxing skill as he claimed the WBC Youth super flyweight world title. Scorecards read 97-92 mara mbili na 96-93, all in favor of Vazquez.

 

 

 

 

“I am overjoyed to have won this title and beyond that, I am happy to have been able to do it against a tough and hungry undefeated fighter,” said Damien Vazquez. “My opponent was very talented and really brought the best out of me. Maryan Salazar (8-2) picked up a unanimous decision over Joselyn Casilla Martinez (4-3-1) to capture the WBC FECOMBOX light flyweight title. Salazar dominated this bout from start to finish to claim the title. Scorecards read 98-92, 98-91, 99-91 all in favor of Salazar.

CANTU REMAINS UNDEFEATED

SAN ANTONIO, TX (Aprili 23, 2018) -Zamani hii Jumamosi TMB & PRB Entertainment presented, “Whose “The” Will Go”, another successful boxing event that took place at the Mi Mercado Event Center katika San Antonio, TX.
In the 6-round main event, James Cantu (11-0, 4 Kos), kushindwa Jairo Castaneda (9-1, 3 Kos), na uamuzi wa pamoja, to remain undefeated in the welterweight division. Cantu, with his aggressive style, took the fight to the inside, making it uncomfortable for Castaneda throughout the whole bout. Although Castaneda had his moments, Cantu was the busier fighter who landed the cleaner shots. Scorecards read 59-54 mara mbili, na 57-56, all in favor of Cantu, who recorded his second fight in four years.
The 4-round co-main event showcased Daniel “Da Beast” Baiz (13-1, 5 Kos) dhidi ya Isai Mireles (8-9, 6 Kos). Baiz dropped Mireles with a left hook to the body in round two, before cruising to a unanimous decision victory. Scorecards read 40-35 across the board for Baiz.
San Antonio TV (KSAT) ABC’s local digital channel, aired the event live on devices such as Roku, Amazon, and Apple TV. Subscribers were able to watch the fights for free over the internet.

“When I was in Las Vegas for Lara vs. Hurd, I had a great sparring session with former world champion Ishe Smith, who is an accomplished fighter,” said Daniel Baiz. “Smith was impressed with my work, and I know if I continue to work hard in the gym, I’ll be ready to fight for a regional title soon. I have a tough fight with Mireles on Saturday, so that’s where my focus is right now.”

HUMBERTO “TITO” VELAZCO SCORES SENSATIONAL KNOCKOUT IN EL PASO, TX

Aguascalientes, MX (Februari 19, 2018) – Zamani hii Jumamosi, katika Don Haskins Center katika El Paso, TX, Sugar Matangazo light-heavyweight prospect, Humberto “Tito” Velazco (19-1-1, 14 Kos), scored the knockout of the night, dhidi ya Thomas “Juu Mbwa” Williams Jr. (20-4, 14 Kos).
Velazco, who hails from Aguascalientes, Mexico, rallied from an early first round knockdown, which was more of an off-balance circumstance. Williams survived the round but was walking on wobbly legs. Now in a rhythm, Velazco’s timing was on point as he sent Williams to the deck for the second time in round three, this time hurting him badly with combination of punches. Williams survived once again only to be stopped in round four when Velazco, a heavy-handed southpaw, blasted him with a straight left, forcing the referee to stop the bout at the 1:37 alama.

LAS VEGAS, NV (Septemba 24, 2017) – Unbeaten super-flyweight prospect, Damien “Sugar” Vazquez (11-0, 6 Kos), makes his return to the ring on Oktoba 14, 2017, at the Palenque de la Feria in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Vita hii, scheduled for 8-rounds, will mark the third time this year that Vazquez will have stepped in the ring, as he looks to extend on is winning streak. An opponent will be announced shortly.
“It’s a good feeling knowing that I’ll be back in the ring after I just fought a few weeks ago.” said Vazquez. “My last fight happened on August 31st and I feel great. Camp has started and I’m going to be ready for anyone my management team puts in front of me. I’m going to Mexico once again to mark my territory. Co-trained by former world champion, Clarence “Bones” Adams, Damien Vazquez is the younger brother of former two-time super-bantamweight world champion, Israel Vazquez, who also serves as his co-trainer. SAN ANTONIO, TX (Septemba 25, 2017) – Zamani hii Jumamosi at the Alamodome, katika San Antonio, TX, matarajio super-welterweight, Daniel “Mnyama” Baiz (10-1, 5 Kos), scored a victory against Yunier Calzada (6-2-1, 1 KO), in a hard fought 4-round slugfest. Kusimamiwa na Prince Ranch Boxing’s Greg Hannley, Baiz showed his hometown fans why he is must watch boxing.
Toe-to-toe action commenced from the opening bell as both Biaz and his opponent Calzada, went right at each other. Biaz, a southpaw, was throwing hard punches, landing his signature straight left throughout the entire fight, in addition to his powerful right hooks. Calzada, stood his ground, but was getting beat to the punch. Calzada had his moments, but was outworked by Biaz, who was determined to come out victorious in front of his hometown fans. The fight was fought in a phone-booth for four rounds and the fans were thrilled to see these two warriors go at it. Mwishoni, Biaz came out on top as the score cards read 39-37 mara mbili, na 40-36, all in favor of Daniel.
