TUNICA, MS (Marso 14, 2017) – Middleweight contender Sergiy Derevyanchenko (10-0, 8 KOs) remained unbeaten Tuesday night as he delivered a blistering fifth-round stoppage of previously undefeated Kemahl Russell (10-1, 8 KOs) sa main event sa Premier Boxing Champions TOE-TO-TOE MARTES sa FS1 & Boxing Champions on FOX Deportes from the Fitz Tunica Casino & Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi.
I was so happy to be back in the ring,” said Derevyanchenko. “I felt very good in there. Once I got going and sped it up, he couldn’t keep up with me. I’m ready to take on anyone.
The unbeaten Russian, who fights out of Brooklyn, was at a major height disadvantage against the six-foot Russell, who attempted to control the fight with his jab from a distance. This led to a slow-paced fight early, which seemed to favor the taller boxer.
Derevyanchenko would eventually find the distance as he used double left hooks and feints to work inside Russell’s jab. Round four saw the two men begin to exchange in more flurries dangerous on the inside, with Russell taking the brunt of the damage.
Now fully settled into the fight, Derevyanchenko began to unload in round five and connected on a huge straight right hand that rocked Russell’s head back and put his opponent in immediate peril. Derevyanchenko pounced on the opportunity and began landing big shots in succession until referee Bill Clancy jumped-in to stop the fight 1:06 into the fifth-round.
The co-main event of the night saw undefeated prospect Ahmed Elbiali (15-0, 12 KOs) make quick work of Brazil’s Jackson Junior (20-8, 19 KOs) as he scored a first round knockout just1:33 segundos sa unang round.
Elbiali was returning from a 14-month layoff after recovering from a broken hand, but he wasted no time trading big punches. Both men were aggressive early on and dealt big hooks from the opening bell.
Working off of his jab, Elbiali caught Junior in a defensive crouch and connected with a perfect overhand right to the temple that sent Junior to the canvas. Junior was able to get to his feet but was deemed unable to continue by the referee, who called a halt to the bout 1:33 ngadto sa round.
The opening bout of the telecast saw unbeaten prospect Jamontay Clark (11-0, 7 KOs) stop a game Gaku Takahashi (15-7-1, 7 KOs) after seven rounds of action in their welterweight bout.
Cincinnati’s Clark survived an early stumbled as Takahashi connected with a jab that stunned and stumbled Clark midway through the first round. Clark was able to regain his footing and use his jab as his primary mode of attack.
The southpaw Clark began timing Takahashi with left hands and right hooks and was able to control the action each round. Takahashi attempted to match Clark’s punch output, specifically targeting his opponent to the body, but was unable to land enough clean blows.
Takahashi came out aggressive in round seven and initiated several big exchanges. It was Clark who got the better of these moments, hitting Takahashi with a big left hand late in the round that left his opponent temporarily stunned, although able to return to his corner. Takahashi’s corner had seen enough however and called an end to the fight at the end of the seventh round.

NICE, Calif. (Hulyo 13, 2016) – Welterweight contender Levan Ghvamichava (17-2-1, 13 KOs) scored two knockdowns before stopping Breidis Prescott (29-8, 21 KOs) in the seventh round of the main event Martes gabii sa Premier Boxing Champions Bell-to-toe Martes sa FS1 ug Boxing Champions on FOX Deportes from Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino in Nice, California.
Ghvamichava outworked and outslugged Prescott, knocking him down in round four before knocking him down again in round seven and eventually forcing the stoppage. Prescott got off to a fast start, using his length and a strong right hand to dictate action in the first frame.
Prescott couldn’t keep up the work rate however, as Ghvamichava began to close the distance and created more toe-to-toe exchanges. Sa round sa upat ka, Ghvamichava connected with a left hook and a right cross that dropped Prescott, who was able to beat the count and get back on his feet.
After the knockdown, Prescott attempted to revert to his round-one form by boxing and using his jab, but the persistent Ghvamichava kept working hard to get inside on the taller fighter. The hard work paid off in round seven when Prescott was severely staggered with a right hand before being sent to the canvas by a left hook.
Prescott was unable to recover as he beat the count narrowly but was on shaky ground. He hit the canvas two more times, both ruled pushes by the referee before a hard combination by Ghvamichava in the corner forced referee Michael Margado to stop the fight at 2:37 of round seven.
Sa panahon sa stoppage, Ghvamichava had thrown nearly 100 more punches than Prescott (495-397) and had out landed him 134 sa 110.
The co-main event of the night saw Marcos Hernandez (8-0, 2 KOs) earn a unanimous decision in a competitive and entertaining eight-round super welterweight brawl against previously unbeaten Thomas Hill (6-1, 1 KO).
Hernandez and Hill went back and forth from start to finish in the first eight round bout of either prospect’s career. Hill looked to dictate the action with his jab and body work, but it was Hernandez who had more success throughout the night with his left hand and various uppercuts.
The sixth round saw Hill lose a point early on in the round for a low blow. The deduction clearly increased the urgency in Hill who pressed forward, delivering the best action of the fight. Hill pushed the pace but Hernandez withstood the strong combinations and repeatedly caught Hill with strong left hands. Outside of staggering Hill once early in the seventh round, both fighters continued to throw hard punches all the way to the final bell.
The punch stats reflected the close nature of the fight as Hernandez out landed Hill 161 sa 157 while it was Hill who had the slight edge in accuracy, landing 33 percent of his punches to 31 percent for Hernandez. Even without the point deduction, the judges still preferred Hernandez, who landed the more significant punches, and gave him the decision by scores of 79-72, 78-73 ug 77-74.
The opening bout of the telecast saw middleweight prospect Malcolm McAllister (8-0, 8 KOs) remain unbeaten with a stoppage victory over Gilberto Yoruba (7-3, 4 KOs). Yoruba did not come out for the eighth and final round after McAllister dominated the first seven rounds of the fight.
McAllister controlled the fight by working off of his strong jab with powerful right hands and hooks to the body. Yoruba continued to come forward throughout the fight, wildly throwing numerous overhand rights looking to stun the undefeated prospect.
After staggering Yoruba several times in round four, McAllister really began to do damage when he teed off on Yoruba with multiple unanswered shots to close out the frame. The one-sided action showed in the punch stats as McAllister out landed Yoruba 184 sa 76 eventually leading to a frustrated Yoruba being deducted a point in round six for low blows.
