Petje Retains FFC Lightweight Title After 5 Round War With Gazani

Las Vegas, NV, (Novembru 17, 2018) – The Main Event of “FFC 34” featured an unforgettable Kickboxing title bout that was filled with non-stop action for all five championship rounds.

 

Samo Petje (36-6-1) retained his FFC Lightweight Kickboxing Title by defeating a very game challenger, Bruno Gazani (60-7-0), by majority draw (47-47, 47-47, 46-48).

 

 

 

As advertised, these two warriors (Gazani and Petje) went toe-to-toe in a very entertaining Main Event that had no shortage of crowd-pleasing highlights and thrilling moments. Gazani came forward and pressed the action for most of the night, using his solid boxing skills to his advantage. Petje was able to counter with high knees and vicious body kicks that ultimately led to the majority decision victory. It looked as if Gazani had knocked Petje down in the fifth round but it was ultimately ruled as a slip.

 

 

 

The night’s Co-Main Event, was another war that featured two MMA Heavyweights standing and striking for three straight rounds. Tony “Hulk” Johnson (12-4-1) defeated D.J. “Da Protégé” Linderman (21-15-0) b'deċiżjoni unanima (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) in what was an absolute slugfest. Linderman suffered a large cut above his right eye early on in the fight and despite the constant stream of blood running down his face, he still decided to stand in the pocket and trade blows with Johnson.

 

Kevin “Thunderstorm” Johnson (6-1-0) went the distance with Isaac Luna (3-1-0) in their Super Lightweight Boxing bout. Keys won by unanimous decision (59-55, 58-56, 59-55) in an exciting fight where Luna kept coming forward and forcing Johnson to engage all night long. Johnson countered well and was able to use crisp combinations to get the decision.

 

 

 

In a Kickboxing Catchweight matchup, Meletis “Ħmar il-lejl” Kakoubavas (33-7-0) caught Jermaine “J.J.” Għoqda (24-7-0) with a high right kick to the side of Soto’s head at the fifty-two second mark of round two of their three round fight. The fight was stopped after Soto rose to his feet from the canvas, resulting in a TKO victory for Kakoubavas.

 

 

 

The night began with Heavyweight Zac Cavender (1-0-0) winning his professional MMA debut with a first round TKO victory over Marius Cantoneru (0-2-0). Cavender’s ground and pound worked to perfection as a series of fists to the side of Cantoneru’s head caused the stoppage at the 2:30 mark of round one.

Las Vegas, NV, (Novembru 15, 2018) – The weights are official for “FFC 34 – Gazani vs. Petje”, a ‘multi-discipline’ (Boxing, Kickboxing and MMA) karta ġlieda, which takes place Friday night, November 16th, fi “Fight Dome,” located at Caesars Entertainment’s Rio Las Vegas. Las Vegas, NV, (Novembru 2, 2018) – The Main Event of “FFC 33” delivered an upset and a new champion, as Mykta Chub (18-7-0) defeated previously unbeaten champion Andi Vrtacic (10-1-0) permezz ta 'deċiżjoni qasma (47-48, 48-47, 48-47) to win the FFC Middleweight Kickboxing Title.

 

 

 

Chub and Vrtacic displayed a great deal of endurance during their five round war. Chub was able to pin Vrtacic into the corners quite often during this fight, frustrating the young Vrtacic and preventing him from using his signature high kicks. Vrtacici landed some nice head kicks and few solid combinations but it wasn’t enough to impress the judges, allowing Chub to steal the win, and the title.

 

 

 

In the Co-Main Event, which involved two very exciting MMA lightweight fighters, Darrick Minner (22-9-0) wasted no time submitting former UFC Fighter, “Cassius” Clay Collard (16-8-1) by rear naked choke in the very first round. The submission victory, which was the 19th of Minner’s career, only took 31 seconds to execute.

 

 

 

Andre Keys (10-1-0) went the distance with Randy Fuentes (7-7-1) in their Super Welterweight Boxing bout. Keys won by split decision (55-59, 55-59, 58-56) in a fight that featured both fighters standing in the pocket and trading hard shots for the majority of their six round fight.

 

 

 

In a Kickboxing Lightweight matchup, despite breaking his left arm in the fight, Chris McMillan (38-10-0) won a split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) against Teo Mikelic (18-7-0) in a fight that featured some vicious kicks and crisp punches by both fighters.

 

 

 

The night began with Sherrard Blackledge (1-0-0) winning his professional MMA debut by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-27) over Jordan Christensen (0-2-0) in the Welterweight division.

 

 

 

“Most of these fights ended up going the distance and the fighters did not disappoint tonight,” said FFC CEO/Founder, Orsat Zovko. “FFC 33 showcased a lot of endurance and toughness and delivered an entertaining show for the fans.”

Mykyta Chub fights Andi Vrtacic for the FFC Middleweight Championship at Fight Dome

LAS VEGAS, NV, (Ottubru 30, 2018) – The main event is set for “FFC 33” and it will involve two explosive kickboxers from overseas. Mykyta Chub (17-7-0) of the Ukraine, battalji Andi Vrtacic (10-0-0) Pula, Kroazja, for the FFC Middleweight Championship on November 2nd, at Fight Dome located at Caesars Entertainment’s Rio Las Vegas.

 

 

 

Both fighters have fought for FFC multiple times. Chub has a (3-1) record during his tenure with Final Fight Championship. Vrtacic, who is the defending middleweight champion, boasts a (4-0) record with FFC.

 

 

 

“The fans at Fight Dome Las Vegas loved our Kickboxing fights at FFC 31,” said FFC CEO/Founder, Orsat Zovko. “And we are excited to have world champion kickboxers fighting for us again on November 2nd.”

UFC Star Paige VanZant Supports Husband Vanderford at FFC 32

LAS VEGAS, NV, (Ottubru 22, 2018) – Final Fight Championship welcomed a distinguished guest on Friday night, Ottubru. 19th, and she was sitting ringside to support her husband. UFC Flyweight Fighter, Paige VanZant, was in attendance for “FFC 32 – Graves vs. Seumanutafa” watching her spouse, Austin “AK-47” Vanderford (6-0-0), deliver a blistering knockout to Edmilson Freitas (7-3-0) in the first round of their co-main event bout.

 

 

 

Vanderford won his sixth straight fight and kept his unblemished record in tact, after landing a solid left hand to the temple of Freitas at the 1:38 mark of round one. Negozjant, as you can image, was filled with excitement as she watched her hubby win in such convincing and thrilling fashion.

 

 

 

“I loved it, I am proud of him”, said VanZant “I just have so much confidence in him, in this one I wasn’t really nervous at all, he is so prepared and ready for anything.”

 

 

 

Vanderford’s first round knockout of Freitas sent the crowd at Fight Dome Las Vegas into frenzy, and it allowed Vanderford to realize that he is getting one step closer to achieving all of his professional goals.

 

 

 

“I feel that I’m getting closer and closer to making things happen for me”, said Vanderford “I want to thank the FFC and the entire organization for giving me the opportunity and the fight, and I just knew if I connected with one of my power shots he (Freitas) was going to sleep.”

 

 

 

Needless to say, “FFC 32” was both a fun and productive night for the newlywed couple. VanZant and Vanderford tied the knot recently in an oceanfront ceremony on September 29th.

 

 

 

“It was awesome, they (FFC) put on a great show here”, said VanZant “It’s cool that they (FFC) display the fighters this well and hopefully he (Vanderford) can fight here again.”
