After Batara of Las Vegas, Nev. missed weight by one pound (107.4 punt) after the contracted, one-pound allowance was considered, an agreement was made between her and Granados (4-2), who weighed in at 105.5 punt, to proceed with the bout as planned.

The victor of the matchup between the 23-year-old Batara of Las Vegas, Nev. and the 29-year-old Granados of Corpus Christi, Texas – both unbeaten to date in La Jaula – will represent the U.S. against ferocious finisher Lisbeth “Coneja” Lopez Silva (5-3) in the first-ever Combate Americas Pan-Regional championship bout in February 2018.
