The 35-year-old boxer from New Orleans captured his second title, taking a 10-round split decision (96-94, 96-94, 93-97) from defending North American Boxing Association (Shuningdek) USA lightweight champion Reynaldo “El Trampolin” Blanco (13-3, 7 KOS)
Brock predicted that fans would see a completely different fighter, after being trained for this fight by future Hall of Famer and 10-time world champion Roy Jones, Jr. Brock threw effective punches in bunches, aggressively fought inside against the taller Blanco, and he outworked the Dominican who suffered a cut over his left eye midway through the fight and had his right eye swell a few rounds later.

“I knew he was a gritty guy who came from Puerto Rico to fight me in Las Vegas,” explained Brock, who added the NABA USA title to his growing collection that already had included the WBC US lightweight strap. “I was having fun, enjoying myself. I had to pick up stuff working with Roy and some rubbed off on me. With Roy’s help, my confidence was built up and I learned techniques, especially with my hand-and-feet coordination. I found what I learned was more effective.”
Jones was calm in Brock’s corner throughout the fight. “I’m always calm in the corner to get the best out of the fighter,” Jones noted. “To do that I need to remain calm.”
Mexican upset specialist Norberto “Demonio” Gonsales (22-3-8, 13 KOS) did his thing in the co-feature, taking an eight-round split decision (76-75, 76-75, 74-77) from Puerto Rican junior middleweight Doniyor “El Duro” Tasbeh (11-2, 10 KOS).

Gonzalez overcame a second-round knockdown. “I didn’t come here to lose,” Gonzalez commented. “I knew we had to work hard to get a decision.”
In the television opener, red-hot junior featherweight prospect Randy “Matador” Moreno (7-0, 6 KOS) mag'lubiyatsiz qoldi, outclassing Daniel Perales (7-6-1, 4 KOS) from the opening bell until referee Russell Mora stopped the fight at the request of the corner in the fourth round. Undefeated New York junior flyweight Natalie “Tuffie” Gonsales (3-0, 1 KO) unloaded a big right-hand to register her first professional knockout as previously unbeaten Marina “Rockie” Ramirez (2-1) beat the count but referee Kenny Bayles halted the fight.
In a spirited junior featherweight fight from start to finish, Xuan “Ciclon Junior” Sanchez (2-0, 1 KO) won a hard fought four-round unanimous decision over a game Javier “Out bitadi” Cepeda (0-3).
Puerto Rican cruiserweight Kenny “Hind” Cross (1-2-1, 1 KO) ruined the pro debut former UNLV football player Jason “The Blaze” Beauchamp, unleashing a barrage of unanswered punches for a knockout win only 1:11 ochilish tur.

“What a night we had downtown,” dedi Derek Stevens, Owner and CEO of the D Las Vegas and DLVEC. “I want to thank the Nevada Athletic Commission for allowing us to do these fights outdoors. I want to shout out to Chuy and Brock,,,..what fighters! Let’s keep this going downtown.”
Brock, fighting out of New Orleans, learned to box in Louisiana State Penitentiary, where he served nearly 15 yil, sentenced as an adult at 15 for armed robbery. The determined lightweight controlled the pace and consistently beat hometown favorite Gutierrez to the punch all night. Gutierrez, a tough Mexican who lives in Las Vegas, showed the heart of a champion, albeit in a losing effort to a fresher Brock.

“I think I put on a great performance,” Brock commented after the fight. “I came out to give my best effort. We trained to fight inside to fight Chuy, not box, to make him uncomfortable in a fight he’s not used to. I won this fight on the inside. No backing up for 10 qattiq tur. We prepared that way because we knew Chuy was going to come in throwing shots. But he’d never fought anybody of my caliber. I was looking to finish him but I didn’t want to get careless.”
In a battle of unbeaten junior middleweight, Mexican invader Rolando “Rola” Garza (9-0, 6 KOS) va U.S. Marine Corps veteran Erasmo “The Reckoning” Garcia (5-1-1, 3 KOS) put on a show in the televised co-feature. All they really needed was a phone booth as the two warriors pounded each other from the opening bell, although Garza got the much better of the action for the first four rounds, buzzing Garcia at the end of the fourth. The game Garcia came back in the fifth, despite suffering a lot of damage from a relentless attack by Garza, who simply outclassed his overmatched opponent with his technical boxing skills. Garza, who was deducted a point for throwing a low blow in the fifth round, won a unanimous 6-round decision in a firefight.

Nichols won his third fight in the last three months, “I can go next week,” Nichols said after the fight. “He was tall fighter who was undefeated. He didn’t come here to lose. I take my hat off to him because I hit him with some great shots. He is a tough guy with a big heart. I had to do the Ali Shuffle in the first round because he was my favorite fighter.”

Gutierrez, a native of Mexico who fights out of Las Vegas, never lost his belt in the ring. The stage is set for this Las Vegas showdown, which is a crossroads fight in several ways with the winner climbing to the next level.

Las Vegas, (May 31, 2016) – An old-time grudge match between lightweights Daryo “Tana zarbasi” Brock va Chuy “Bo'ron” Gutierrez will headline the third installment of the “Knockout Night at the D” qator, Juma tun, Iyun 10, shamollatish va quritish (11 p.m. VA / 8 p.m. PT) yashash CBS Sport Network from the outdoor Downtown Las Vegas Tadbirlar markazi (DLVEC).

“Brock versus Chuy has been a fight in the making for years and now the dream is a reality,” dedi Keyt Veltre, BOSH DIREKTOR / Co-Founder of Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions. “As Brock defends his title, Chuy will fight to the end to regain the title that he let lapse. This fight promises to be an all-out war and the winner will move into a national spotlight. Thanks to the ‘Knock out Night at the D’ qator, Derek Stevenson is giving Las Vegas prospects an opportunity to make a national presence.”
Brock (11-3-1, 4 KOS) will defend his USNBC title against former USNBC lightweight champ Gutierrez (14-0-1, 4 KOS), who never lost his belt in the ring, which has set the stage for this Las Vegas showdown to determine who the USNBC belt truly belongs to. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact both fighters train in Las Vegas and have growing fan-bases.
The 35-year-old Brock, who fights out of Kenner, Louisiana, learned to box in the Louisiana State Penitentiary, while serving his 14 ½-year sentence there for armed robbery. In prison, he won 39 ning 40 fights with 17 knockouts, eventually finishing his amateur career with an outstanding 54-3 rekord.
Last November in El Paso, Texas, the RJJ-promoted Brock upset 9-1-1 Oscar Valenzuela, capturing the vacant WBC United States (USNBC) lightweight title by way of a unanimous 8-round decision.
Gutierrez is from Sinaloa, Meksika, the home of Hall-of-Famer Julio Sezar Chaves among many other top fighters born there. A love of baseball kept Gutierrez occupied, gacha, as he says, “boxing found me.” Gutierrez was attending college at South Nevada and working, still dreaming of becoming a major league baseball player, when he walked into the famed Johnny Tocco’s Ringside Boxing gym at the age of 21.
Bitten by the boxing bug, Gutierrez turned pro in in 2010 and he’s rapidly developed into a fan-friendly fighter, largely due to his aggressive, entertaining style. Yilda 2014, Gutierrez won an 8-round majority decision over Rashad Ganaway(14-4-1) for the vacant USNBC lightweight crown.
The unbeaten Gutierrez wants his belt back and he’s determined to take it from Brock, kim, albatta, believes otherwise. They will settle the score Iyun 10th in the 10-round main event that promises fireworks.

What can fans expect to see when they watch Haney in the ring? “Men bokschi-zımba komil; strong and fast,” Haney added. “I’m a balanced fighter who can do everything. I’m only 17 and still have a long way to go.
