On his recent training camp in Las Vegas…
“I’m constantly grinding in the gym, trying to get better. No one is working harder than me. I’ve been working closely with “An Scioból Coirp” Mike McCallum, and he’s showing me some old veteran tricks. I’ve been sparring with all the top fighters in Las Vegas, getting that good work. I feel strong going into this fight. I’m in great shape.”
On having his father William Haney guiding his career…
“My dad is great and he’s always by my side every step of the way. He comes from the music industry, where he was very successful, so he knows how to build a star. I’m very grateful to have him in my corner. Together we are a force in the boxing world, and I know with hard work, I’ll be the next super-star in boxing.”
On the importance of staying active…
“It’s very important to stay active in boxing, because in this sport, its all about that live action. Fighting with no headgear and smaller gloves is a big difference as opposed to sparring. The more fights I can get under my belt, the better I’ll be when I hit the big stage.”
On fighting in Atlanta, Georgia for the first time…
“Atlanta is a major city and I’m going to give the fans in attendance a fight they’ll remember for years to come. Fighting in the South is a great opportunity to expand the Devin Haney Promotions brand. I want to fight in as many big cities as possible.”
On the state of the super-lightweight division…
“The super-lightweight division is stacked with a lot of great fighters. Terrance Crawfordsits atop the division, agus dom, he’s one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. I’m on my way up and I’m confident in my ability to become a world champion. I’ve been in the ring with Floyd Mayweather, Shawn Porter and a lot of other great fighters, so my confidence is extremely high. I’m gunning for everyone in the division. I know I can get down with the best of them.”

Haney, who captured the WBC Youth World lightweight title at just 18-years old, the youngest to ever do so, is excited about fighting in Atlanta, Georgia, for the first time in his career.
“This will be my first time fighting in Atlanta and I’m excited to bring an exciting fight to all those who’ll be in attendance,” Dúirt Devin Haney. “Everyone who’s seen me fight, knows I like to put on a great show. Unbeaten Super-Lightweight Phenom DEVIN “THE DREAM” HANEY Extends On Winning Steak, Talks Future

LAS VEGAS, NV (Meán Fómhair 25, 2017) – Last Friday at the SugarHouse Casino, i Philadelphia, PA, undefeated super-lightweight prospect, 18-year old sensation Devin “An aisling” Haney, feabhsaithe (17-0, 11 Kos) with a unanimous decision victory against Enrique Tinoco (16-5-3, 12 Kos) de Meicsiceo.
Tinoco, known for being a rugged fighter, was no match for Haney as he dominated from start to finish. Devin used his superior boxing skills to outclass Tinoco, working off angels, while landing his punches at will. LAS VEGAS (Bealtaine 21, 2016) – Determined Phoenix middleweight Andrew “Invest” Hernandez shocked heavy favorite Arif “The Pedator” Magomedov in tonight’s main event on the “Knockout Night at the D” cárta, which aired live on Líonra Spóirt Scoil na mBráithre Críostaí from under the neon lights at the Downtown Las Vegas Imeachtaí Center (DLVEC) outdoor venue.

Before a sold-out crowd, Hernandez (12-4-1, 4 Kos) pounded world-rated middleweight Magomedov (17-1, 10 Kos), winning a unanimous 10-round decision (100-89 faoi dhó, 98-91) for the vacant USNBC middleweight title. Hernandez hurt Magomedov in the third and seventh rounds, finally dropping the tough Russian (WBA #2, WB) #3, WBA #5 agus IBF #14) sa 10ú.
“This fight changes everything for me,” Hernandez proclaimed. “He’s very good and deserves all of the accolades he’s received but I now have my head on straight and I’m focused. Four weeks ago, Hernandez was preparing to fight as a cruiserweight. He lost 40 pounds to make weight for this middleweight fight in what turned out to be one of the biggest upsets of the year.

 Southpaw super welterweights John “An Feiniméan” Vera (14-0, 9 Kos), de Fort Worth, and Phoenix’ Joey “Boxer” Ruelas (10-2-1, 4 Kos) went toe-to-toe from the opening bell and they never let up in the co-feature. Vera exploded in the round of this firestorm, battering the game Ruelas around, until referee Jay Nady halted the action in the sixth round. Vera remained undefeated and retained his NABA-USA title.
“I knew eventually he’d put his hands down and I’d catch him,” Vera explained. “I thank him for the opportunity to fight. He’s helluva fighter, I give him that, but I know I’m a warrior. I took some shots but gave ’em, freisin. I broke him down and just kept throwing those lefts.”

In the TV opener, boxing prodigy Devin “An aisling” Haney (6-0, 4 Kos) made history as the 17-year-old – a junior in high school – became the youngest American professional boxer to fight on national television. An Floyd Mayweather, Sr.-trained Haney, fighting out of Las Vegas in front of his rapidly growing fan-base, showcased his vast skills against previously undefeated Mexican invader Jairo “El Leon” Vargas (Fernandez), unloading 14 unanswered punches for a 4ú round technical knockout victory. Nady stopped the fight without counting when a badly hurt Vargas (4-1, 3 Kos) hit the deck hard.
“I happy that I put on a good performance for my fans,” Haney commented after the fight. “My team put together the strategy to use my jab and breakdown his body. I picked up my combinations did what I was told to do.”

In a battle of Texas junior welterweights, Tony Lopez (11-1, 4 Kos) dropped previously unbeaten Jerren “Hardknocks” Cochran (11-1-1, 4 Kos) twice with lefts in the opening round and finished him off in the second, knocking him out cold with a punishing right.
“Two mores seconds and I would have finished him off in the first,” Lopez remarked. “My corner told me that, after the lefts, come back with a right. They gave me the game plan and I executed.”

Sa bout oscailt, Las Vegas favorite Jeremy “J-Flash” Nichols (4-0, 2 Kos) dominated Puerto Rican welterweight Iúil “El Indio” Santos (2-3, 1 KO) on his way to a win by unanimous 4-round decision.
“I know I could have done a little better, throwing more combinations and jab,” Nichols said. “He came in trying but he couldn’t fight. I sent him back to Puerto Rico with a loss.”
