Ringsiders Talk Show Set to Cover Pro and Amateur Boxing from corner to corner; Giving voices to those currently involved with the sport.

Danbury, CT (Jiyè 13, 2018) – A new boxing talk show is set to hit the internet. Ringsiders will feature hosts that are currently in the sport of boxing, including both professional and amateur boxers, fòmatè, administratè, promoters and more. The goal of the show is to give viewers a true insider’s look between the ropes. Another major difference of the show is that it will be taped, and feature different visual effects for viewers enjoyment as well as other innovative concepts.

 

 

 

Ringsiders will be taped in Champs Boxing Club in Danbury, CT, which is owned by professional boxing manager A.J. Galante, who will also co-produce the show. He sees Ringsiders as a show that can help give everyone involved with boxing a voice, and a platform to elevate the sport. “Even though we will feature it, Ringsiders is not really about mainstream boxing news. Our main goal is to cover boxing’s other 99% and their perspectives. Boxing is made up of more blue collar individuals then millionaires. We want to do something different, we are looking to highlight the club shows, the club fighter, the up and coming trainer, amateurs trying to find their way, A-Side, B-Side, li pa gen pwoblèm, if it is interesting we want to highlight it, and give people a true insiders look, and have a lot of fun in the process.

 

 

 

Ringsiders is set to have a rotation of hosts and guests, all who are involved currently with boxing, but two mainstays will include Professional BoxerFlyMike Marshall and amateur sensation Fernely Feliz Jr. Mike Marshall is currently 3(3 kos) – 1 as a professional and is also a licensed USA Boxing Amateur coach for Champs Boxing Club’s amateur team, the CBC Wolfpack. Fernely Feliz Jr. is a Danbury native and one of the top Super Heavyweight amateurs in the Nation. He is a 3 time Western New England and All New England Golden Gloves Champion. A.J. Galante says he couldn’t think of a better embodiment of Ringsiders, “I think both Mike and Fernely fit exactly what this show is about. Mike is a talented pro, who hasn’t always gotten the best opportunities in his career. He’s coming off a loss and in the process of making a comeback, but he is going to also be one of the best trainers in the game in time. He has a great personality and says a lot of things most just think. Fernely is one of the best kids in the world. He is super talented, and can give a lot of insight into the amateur scene, and can give insight into just how hard it is to train and compete, deal with high expectations and trying to prepare for a professional career.

 

 

 

The shows director of production will be Danbury native Teyonte Best. “I don’t come from a boxing background, but that’s what A.J. and I like about my involvement, just bringing a different perspective.Best stated, “We believe in different concepts, not telling the same stories, reporting the same news, and we are very much committed to providing an entertaining and informative product for viewers. We want fans and viewers to be involved, and we are working with a few interactive concepts we think will be awesome. As A.J. has stressed to everyone involved, this show is about bringing the whole boxing community together, and we will definitely succeed.

Danbury, Connecticut’s Bordoy Turns Professional

Bordoy, who is of Puerto Rican descent, was born and raised in the rough Mill Ridge section of Danbury, CT. A born fighter, he started boxing at 13 years old under the tutelage of former World Kickboxing Champion Bennie ‘The JetLittle. After nearly six years of competing in the amateurs, Bordoy’s resume is littered with achievements such as the CT J.O. State Champion, CT Golden Gloves Champion, various Regional and National tournament qualifiers, and countless fighter and fight of the night awards. His exciting boxing style has had people in Connecticut constantly asking, “When will he go pro.

I have nothing more to prove in the amateurs.Stated Bordoy, who plans on competing at 135 pounds professionally, “I have been dreaming of this moment since I was 13. There were times I felt ready to make that jump, but something held me back. But now is the time, Mwen pare. I have had a lot stacked against me but I never quit. My motivation is to provide a better life for my family, to make Danbury proud and to bring a World Championship to Connecticut.

Bordoy is currently trained by former professional and New York City amateur standout Luis Marichal. Marichal, who trains at Champs Boxing Club in Danbury promises excitement from his first professional boxer, “Omar is ready. We have been training extremely hard every day. Sparring has been great, we have been all over for sparring and he has shown me he can handle what is to come. I feel he is being overlooked by others who have flashier amateur records and backgrounds, but that’s what motivates our team, we are ready to unleash the beast!”

Bordoy will be under the watchful eye of A.J. Galante. Galante, 30, has managed and advised fighters such as Delvin Rodriguez, Frank GALARZA, Eleser Ortega, among others since 2011. He also promoted Danbury Fight Night in May of 2015, nan Danbury, CT. Galante hopes to see Bordoy in action sometime in March, “We are looking at a bunch of options for Omar. March is the target, and obviously I’d like to get him in the ring as many times as possible in 2017. I am very excited to be part of Team Bordoy.

Williams stops Bowles in six in Danbury Fight Night main event

Danbury, CT (Me 30, 2015)--Prospect Tramaine Williams capped off a great night of boxing with a 6th round stoppage over Josh Bowles in the final scheduled round of their Featherweight bout at the Danbury Arena.

The main event saw Williams show his quick hand speed to outpoint Bowles for most of the fight. In the final round, Williams landed a booming straight left that sent Bowles down hard on his back. Bowles did well to get to his feet only to take a barrage of punches and the fight was stopped at 1:36 of round six.

Williams certainly won’t be coming back after a long layoff with a soft touch, he will be taking on Josh Bowles (9-1, 1KO) out of Harrisburg, PA in a 6 round featherweight attraction.

Galante made clear that he has not signed Williams, Green, or any boxer for that matter to promotional contracts, but he noted there are requirements to fighting under Prize Promotions, “My vision is to give guys opportunities that could springboard them to bigger and better things. I’m looking to actually promote the sport the old fashioned way, and put together exciting 50-50 matchups. I think anyone who fights on my card should be recognized as a throwback fighter, and someone that wants to really become great. My matchmakers Russell Peltz, Brittany Rogers and I have not put any soft matches together. Fans can look at this lineup, and realize it’s nearly impossible for there to be an upset, because all these bouts, top to bottom, are equally matched. Everyone fighting on 30 Me understood from the start that they have to fight tough competition, because in the end, it will only bring the best out of them and they will actually grow as a boxer from their matches.
