Promisao, RI (Septembar 15, 2015)–Najavljeno je danas na Rhode Island State House da neporažen bivši WBO Jr. Prvak u srednjoj kategoriji Demetrius Andrade će se vratiti u ring u subotu navečer, Oktobar 17 kada je preuzima Dario Fabian Pucheta koja će se održati u Mohegan Sun Uncasville, Konektikat.

Borbu će biti osporena za WBO međunarodne Jr. Naslov u srednjoj kategoriji.

Andrade (21-0, 14 KO-a) će se vratiti po prvi put u 16 mjeseci, i 17. borbu oktobra biti borba da će odskočna daska Andrade vratiti u svijet naslov.

Andrade odbranio titulu sa 7. kola zastoja preko Brian Rose juna 14, 2014 u Barclays Center u Brooklyn.

Danbury, CT (Maj 6, 2015)– Na 30. maj Prize Promotions presents their first professional boxing card, Danbury Fight Night, taking place at the Danbury Arena, u Danbury, CT. This action packed card is loaded with some of Connecticut’s fastest rising stars, and will be headlined by the much anticipated return of former amateur sensation, and undefeated professional Tramaine “Mighty Midget” Williams.

Williams (8-0 2KOs) out of New Haven, CT, turned pro at the age of 19 after a stellar amateur career, winning his first 8 pro fights in under a year and a half. Legal issues in 2013, halted Williams’ fast track to stardom. After over a year and a half layoff, Williams is set to make his return and reclaim the momentum and buzz that he created as a teenager. Promoter A.J. Galante was happy to give Williams a second chance.

 

“People make mistakes in life, big or small, especially kids. I’m a firm believer in people can learn from them, and I’m big on second chances. I’m proud to be the one to give Tramaine a second chance in boxing, when not a lot of people were willing to. I sat with him, we spoke, and I saw a kid look me in the eye and I saw that he was sincere about getting back on the right track. Williams certainly won’t be coming back after a long layoff with a soft touch, he will be taking on Josh Bowles (9-1, 1KO) out of Harrisburg, PA in a 6 round featherweight attraction.

 

Also featured on the card will be New Haven’s Nate “The Great One” Green (7-0, 2KOs) as he takes on tough veteran spoiler Timur Shailezov (17-9-1, 4KO-a) from Kyrgyzstan, currently residing in Philadelphia, PA

 

Galante made clear that he has not signed Williams, Green, or any boxer for that matter to promotional contracts, but he noted there are requirements to fighting under Prize Promotions, “My vision is to give guys opportunities that could springboard them to bigger and better things. I’m looking to actually promote the sport the old fashioned way, and put together exciting 50-50 matchups. I think anyone who fights on my card should be recognized as a throwback fighter, and someone that wants to really become great. My matchmakers Russell Peltz, Brittany Rogers and I have not put any soft matches together. Fans can look at this lineup, and realize it’s nearly impossible for there to be an upset, because all these bouts, top to bottom, are equally matched. Everyone fighting on 30. maj understood from the start that they have to fight tough competition, because in the end, it will only bring the best out of them and they will actually grow as a boxer from their matches. After coming up short in last year’s Boxcino finals and suffering the only loss of his career, the Los Angeles-native dropped down one weight class and fought his way back to the 10-round championship fight.

John Thompson reflects on Boxcino semifinal win and looks forward towards the final on May 22

Newark, NJ (April 21, 2015)— Jovan “Apollo Kidd” Thompson has begun preparations for his Maj 22 Boxcino final bout against Brandon Adams. (17-1, 12 KO-a).

Thompson is in Virginia, training under Kay Koroma and he is looking to win the prestigious tournament against Thompson in the 10-round bout at the Omega Products International Outdoor Arena in Corona, Kalifornija.
Thompson (16-1, 5 KO-a) is coming off a 8-round split decision over previously undefeated Stanyslav Skorokhod on April 10 u Betlehemu, PA.
“I outboxed the guy,” Said Thompson. I focused on what I needed to focus on and that was using my jab. I also focused on not to exchange and bang with him and I did a pretty good job of that.”
“As well as I fought, I do not think that was even my best win.”
Now he looks towards Adams. Adams of Los Angeles has experience in the Boxcino finals as his only loss was to Willie Monroe Jr. in last year’s Middleweight finals.
“I am happy to be in the finals. This is an opportunity that will be the uprising of my career,” continued Thompson.
“Brandon is a brawler. He will have a few weeks to come up with a strategy to beat me.”
Said Thompson’s promoter, Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions, “I believe we are longer, been in tougher and the better boxer. Brandon is a good fighter but I think he is too green. I know he had a brief amateur career and he could be too green for John.”

Danbury, CT (April 16, 2015)- At the beginning of April, newly licensed Connecticut boxing promoter A.J. Galante introduced his company, Nagrada Promocije. Galante spoke of his goal of bringing “Old School” boxing to Connecticut.

To prove he is serious about his vision, Galante has turned his matchmaking over to Hall of Fame Philadelphia promoter, Russell Peltz along with one of the sports youngest and most promising promoters and matchmakers, Bretanja “BAM”

Rogers.

“Russell is the definition of Old School matchmaking, he’s one of the last out there, so it was a no brainer for me to reach out to him, and I am honored that he is willing to work with me.” Galante je izjavio, “His resume speaks for itself, I am extremely confident that working together, we will put on spectacular shows” Galante was also extremely excited to work with Brittany “BAM” Rogers, who works in conjunction with Russell Peltz,

Ultimately Galante said what cemented his choice on his matchmakers, was a trip to Philladelphia in October, to attend a show promoted by both Peltz and Rogers, “When you think Philly boxing, you think gritty and exciting, and you can’t think Philadelphia boxing without Russell Peltz and Brittany Rogers, and I am looking forward to bringing those types of shows and that environment here to Connecticut.” It won’t be long for Galante to fulfill his promise, as his first show Danbury Fight Night, will take place on30. maj u Danbury Arena, in his hometown of Danbury, CT.

Filadelfija (Mart 31, 2015)–To je manje od dva tjedna od polufinale Boxcino 2015 teškoj kategoriji i jr. srednjoj kategoriji turnira koji će se održati u petak, 10. april i da će se održati u Sands Casino Resort u Betlehemu, PA.

 

Emisija će biti na televiziji uživo na ESPN-a Friday Night bori sa Boxcino polufinalu bori sa početkom u 9 PM ET.

 

Svi polufinalu napade zakazani su za osam rundi.

 

U teškoj kategoriji, Andrey Fedosov (26-3, 21 KO-a) će se na Lenroy Thomas (19-3, 8 KO-a). Fedosov is coming off a first round pounding of Nate Heaven while Thomas won a 7-round drawbreaker over former U.S. Olympian Jason Estrada.

 

U drugom polufinalu, Razvan Cojanu (13-1, 7 KO-a) će se na Donovan Dennis (11-1, 9 KO-a).

 

Cojanu dolazi off 7-okrugli drawbreaker pridobiti Ed Fountain dok je Dennis zaustavio Steve Vukosa u 4-runde.

 

U jr. srednjoj division, Stanyslav Skorokhod (9-0, 7 KO-a) bitke John Thompson (15-1, 5 KO-a).

U protekle dvije sedmice, četvrtfinale je održana u oba odjeljenja, i meč-ups na April 10 su kako slijedi:
U Jr. Middleweight division:
Brandon Adams (16-1, 11 KO-a) će se boriti Vito Gasparyan (15-3-5, 8 KO-a) dokStanyslav Skorokhod (9-0, 7 KO-a) bitke John Thompson (15-1, 5 KO-a).
U podjeli u teškoj kategoriji:
Andrey Fedosov (26-3, 21 KO-a) će se na Lenroy Thomas (19-3, 9 KO-a) iRazvan Cojanu (13-1, 7 KO-a) kvadrata akciju Donovan Dennis (13-2, 10 KO-a).
Sva četiri Boxcino polufinalu napade zakazani su za osam rundi.
“Veoma smo uzbuđeni da se dovođenje Boxcino polufinalu na Sands u Betlehemu,” rekao Banner Promocije predsjednik Arthur Pelullo.
“To bi trebao biti veliki noć boksa da se utvrdi ko finalisti će biti u Jr. Middleweight i teške podjele.”
