Atlantic City, New Jersey (May 31, 2018)–Super Middleweight contender Derrick “Qaado Waxaa bangiga” Webster (25-1, 13 KOs) feels the time is now to take on the big boys of the division, but in order to secure a bout with a top contender or champion, he first must get by Oscar Riojas (16-9-1, 5 KOs) of Monterrey, Mexico in the 10-round main event this Friday night at The Claridge Hotel.

Webster ee Glassboro, New Jersey has been working hard in the gym as he prepares for this most important bout.

 

 

 

“I have had an amazing camp, I have been getting great work and seeing different looks,” said Webster, who has been working under the guidance of his long-time trainer Denny Brown.

 

 

 

In Riojas, he is facing a battle-tested veteran who has taken on seven undefeated opponents as well as 2 tartanka horyaalka adduunka.

 

 

 

“I know he has fought Brandon Robinson. Robinson is a close friend to me, and what I saw in that fight is that Robinson hit him with some good shots, and I don’t know how he withstood them. Riojas came in after another opponent fell out for me. The funny thing is that he thinks that he can beat me, but on June 1st, he will know that he does not belong in the same ring as me.”

 

 

 

Webster has been looking for a signature fight in the suddenly hot 168-pound division, and after this fight on Friday, Webster will be looking to make his mark.

 

 

 

“I am ranked number-5 in the USBA, so maybe someone for that belt or the NABF. I have to fight for the bigger regional titles as a pathway to the world championship. I have been asking for Groves after he gets done with the WBSS Tournament or WBA champion Tyrin Zeuge. I would also like to take on WBO champion Gilberto Ramirez.”

 

 

 

This is a special weekend for Atlantic City Boxing as the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of fame will have it’s 2nd induction weekend, and may of the legends of the sport will be in attendance to watch Webster fight.

“The Fight Fan Experience” is a bonus for boxing fans to an already action-packed weekend that will include a Meet-And-Greet, two professional fight cards, and induction ceremonies.

Atlantic City, NJ (January 11, 2017) – Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna will battle veteran Eduardo Flores eight-round junior middleweight bout on Habeenkii Sabtida, January 28th ee Claridge Hotel ee Atlantic City.
The bout will headline a card promoted by Rising Promotions.
CEO of Rising Promotions Debra LaManna stated, “We are starting 2017 with a tremendous card and we plan on only doing bigger and better things for boxing this year.”

The 25 year-old is coming off a defeat to undefeated Dusty Hernandez Harrison in a thrilling bout that took place on September 15th in Philadelphia.

In that bout, LaManna fought a good fight and had solid moments throughout the hotly contested bout that was for the USBA Welterweight title.

LaManna is moving back up to the 154 pound division where LaManna is undefeated (7-0 dhexeeya 148-154 pounds) in the division for which he turned professional in 2011.

LaManna won his first 16 shishaysa, where enjoyed wins over Ashanti Gibbs and Jamaal Davis.

After suffering his first professional defeat to undefeated middleweight prospect Antoine Douglas, LaManna ripped off five consecutive victories that was highlighted by by a 4th round stoppage over Kendal Mena (20-3).

Mayfield won the IBF Cruiserweight championship when he won a 12-round unanimous decision over Uriah Grant on November 8, 1997. He made one defense and was stopped by Arthur Williams on October 30, 1998.
Mayfield won the USBA Cruiserweight title with 10th round stoppage over Gary Wilcox on June 30, 2001.
Mayfield has also fought world champions Juan Carlos Gomez, Krzystof Wlodarczyk and Alexander Povetkin.
