Atlantic City, New Jersey (Mawrth 12, 2018)–Chazz Witherspoon raised his winning streak to eight in a row as he went the eight-round distance by won a unanimous decision over Lamont Capers that headlined a seven-bout card at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
The show, which took place this past Dydd Sadwrn, was promoted by Mis Downing Promotions and Silverspoon Promotions.
Witherspoon was able to outpoint the crafty Capers. Capers was very competitive, but it was Witherspoon’s size and harder punches that proved to be the difference as he captured the via 78-74, 78-74 ac 77-75 sgorau.
Witherspoon o PAULSBORO, NJ is now 37-3. Capers, who was fighting for the 2nd time in seven days yn 9-12-4.
Willis Lockett took a six-round majority decision over Prince Badi Ajamu in a cruiserweight bout.
Lockett of Takoma Park, MD won by scores of 59-55, 58-56 ac 57-57, ac mae bellach 16-22-6. Ajamu of Camden, NJ yw 28-4-1.
Super ysgafn John Bauza remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over David Morales.
Bauza of North Bergen, NJ won on all cards by scores of 60-54, ac mae bellach 9-0. Morales of Managua, Nicaragua yn 13-9.
Mike Hilton won a three-round technical unanimous decision over Hector Perez.
The fight was a terrific back and forth brawl when Perez suffered a cut over his right eye in the third frame.
Perez almost made a quick night for himself as he dropped Hilton in the 1st round. Hilton stormed back to register his own knockdown’s in round two and three.

Dan Murray and Latorrie Woodberry fought to a no-contest when Woodberry hurt his shoulder in the 1st round of their scheduled four-round welterweight bout.

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Mawrth 8, 2018)–Pwysau trwm Chazz “Mae'r Gentleman” Witherspoon is looking for a big fight in the suddenly hot heavyweight division. In order to get into the mix he will need a victory dydd Sadwrn night when he takes on veteran Mike Sheppard in in the eight-round main event on at The Claridge Hotel mewn Atlantic City.
The Witherspoon – Sheppard bout will headline a nine-bout card, promoted by Mis Downing Promotions and Silver Spoon Promotions.
Witherspoon, 36-3 gyda 28 knockouts, is on a six-fight knockout streak, and has not lost in almost six years.
Witherspoon will be making his first start since stopping Carlos Sandoval in the 4th round on October 1, 2016.
“Everything is good, and despite me having a layoff, I am never too far out of shape, so I don’t expect to have any ring rust,” dywedodd y 36 year-old native of Paulsboro, New Jersey.
In Sheppard, Witherspoon is taking on a veteran, who has fought a handful of top heavyweights.
“He is a veteran, and he has 25 ennill, so you have to respect that. I am not taking him lightly.”
Witherspoon is done taking layoffs, and he does not expect anymore layoffs.
“I want to stay as busy as possible, so I can be ready for big fights. I am closing in on 40 ennill, so with the heavyweight division getting hot again, I feel with my record, that I should be able to get into the mix. I always like fighting in Atlantic City. It is a 40 minute drive from my home. It has been a pleasure working with Mis Dowing Promotions, and I look forward to a great night ar ddydd Sadwrn.”

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Ionawr 25, 2018)–Mis Downing promotions is primed for a big year in 2018.
The New Jersey based promotion staged it’s inaugural events in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in 2017, and already has four dates on the schedule for 2018.
The 1st of those events will take place ar ddydd Sadwrn nos, March 10th at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
“We are very excited for a great year of boxing,” said Mis Downing. “We have a tremendous event planned for March 10th where I will be co-promoting with Silver Spoon Promotions, and have Chazz Witherspoon in the main event. We have some of the best fighters in the area that will make up a great undercard.”
The full card and ticket information for the March 10th show will be announced next week.
“We have at least three more dates, and we want to feature great fights while providing the fans with terrific entertainment. We are also about to announce the signing of some terrific fighters that we plan to build and feature on our events. We are looking to bring a lot of shows to Atlantic City, and I want to congratulate the new mayor Frank Gilliam on his inauguration.”

Witherspoon takes on Marrone in 2

Bristol, PA (Awst 6, 2016) – Chazz Witherspoon scored his fifth consecutive knockout victory as he took out former world title challenger Mike Marrone in round two of their scheduled six-round heavyweight bout in the main event at the Grundy Arena.

The eight-bout card was promoted by D and D Promotions and Silver Spoon Promotions.

Witherspoon sent Marrone to the canvas in round one with a left hook. Seconds later it was a hard 1-2 that sent Marrone down for a second time.

Yn rownd dau, Witherspoon landed a booming right that deposited Marrone on the canvas for a third time. Marrone got to his feet but the fight was waved off at 1:31.

Witherspoon o PAULSBORO, New Jersey is now 35-3 gyda 27 knockouts. Marrone of Vero Beach, Florida is 21-6.

Samuel Seah won a four round unanimous decision over Samuel Amoako in a junior welterweight bout.

Teah of Philadelphia won by scores of 40-36 ar yr holl gardiau ac mae bellach 8-1. Amoako of Silver Spring, MD is 21-13.

Elijah Vines stopped Julian Valerio in round three of their scheduled four round middleweight brawl.

In the first frame, Vines dropped Valerio with a short right on the inside. Valerio returned the favor after a furious exchange, Valerio put Vines on the canvas from a left hook. Yn rownd tri, Vines drilled Valerio a multitude of times with power punches that continuously snapped the head of Valerio’s head back until a moment later when Vines landed some hard body punches and referee Hurley McCall stopped the fight at 2:37.

Vines of Philadelphia is 3-0 gyda thri knockouts. Valerio of Brooklyn, NY is 3-4.

Good looking prospect, Jaron Ennis stopped Matthew Murphy in round two of a scheduled four round junior welterweight bout.

Yn rownd dau, Ennis sent Murphy to a knee after landing a barrage of punches. Seconds later, It was a left to the body that sent Murphy down and the fight was stopped at 2:53.

Ennis of Philadelphia is 5-0 gyda phum knockouts. Murphy of St. Louis, MO is 1-3.

Mike Hilton remained undefeated by stopping Cortez Reed at 1:57 in the fourth and final scheduled round of their cruiserweight bout.

Hilton of Trenton, NJ, yn awr 3-0 with all wins coming via stoppage. Reed of Atlanta, GA yn 1-3.

Emanuel Taylor stopped Carlos Aguilera in round two of their scheduled eight round junior welterweight bout.

Taylor cracked Aguilera with a left hook to the ribs that dropped him. He could not get to his feet and fight was over at 2:07.

Taylor of Edgewood, MD is now 20-4 gyda 14 knockouts. Aguilera of Chiapas, MX is 10-18.

Leshawn Rodriguez demolished Jason Whar inside of one round of their scheduled four round middleweight bout.

Rodriguez dropped Whar three times in round one, with the last coming from a left hook and the bout was stopped at 1:55.

Rodriguez of Shirley, Efrog Newydd yn 4-0 gyda phedwar knockouts. Wahr of Virginia Beach, Virginia yn 4-13.

Luis Perozo remained undefeated by winning a 4-round unanimous decision over Alberto Martinez in a lightweight bout.

The bout headlined a sold out night of boxing that was promoted by Rising Promotions. It was the fourth consecutive sold out event in the last eight months that Rising Promotions has staged.
The co-feature saw welterweight Thomas “Creision ŷd” LaManna tuned up for a major bout in the fall with a first round destruction of Engleberto Valenzuela in a super welterweight bout.
Ifanc, of Atlantic City systematically took apart Flores, despite Flores trying to frustrate Young by coming in with wild shots for which some strayed behind the head.
Yn y pen, It was Young, who was not headlining for the first time, but being spurred on by his hometown fans and he was able to get the victory to the tune of 60-54 & 59-55 ddwywaith.

Chinese light heavyweight Fanlong Meng scored a knockdown and was ruled the winner via 5th round stoppage over former contender Daniel Judah in a scheduled eight round bout.
Meng sent Judah into the ropes with a left hand that was ruled a knockdown and Meng and the referee ruled that Judah could not continue at the bout was stopped at 2:08.
Meng is now 8-0 gyda 6 knockouts. Judah of Brooklyn, NY is 24-11-3.
Zhang Zhilei of China won a six round unanimous decision over Rodney Hernandez in a heavyweight bout.
