טאמעס “קאָרנפלאַקע” LaManna media day quotes and video

פילאדעלפיע, פּאַ – Welterweight contender, טאמעס “קאָרנפלאַקע” לאַמאַננאַ (21-1, 9 קאָס) פון מיללוויללע, New Jersey held a media workout אויף מאנטאג at the Joe Hand Boxing Gym in advance of his USBA Welterweight title bout against שטויביק הערנאַנדעז-העריסאן (29-0-1, 16 קאָ ס) פון וואַשינגטאָן, D.C that will take place on דאָנערשטיק נאַכט בייַ די 2300 אַרענאַ and broadcast LIVE on קבס ספורט נעטוואָרק
Thomas LaManna Quotes:
“איך פילן גרויס. I am excited and I am anxious.
I can not let let Dusty get in a groove. That’s what I remember from sparring is that if you give him a groove, he is a little bit hard to handle, other that that you can’t give him confidence.
I have ten rounds to work. I always say that the last two rounds are mental . I am in great shape to go ten rounds
Me and Dusty both have big fan bases and I will be able to block out the crowd
I don’t get nervous. Especially this fight because I have been in the ring with him before. There is nothing that he can do in my eyes that I would be worried about.
The gameplan is to just to win. Make the proper adjustments when I need to.
I am more confident after this camp then I have ever been.
“דעם קאַמף מיטל אַלץ צו מיר. It’s now or never as it will change my career and it will show where I am in boxing.

LaManna Sees Big Opportunity In Sept. 15 Fight With Dusty Hernandez-Harrison

פֿאַר באַלדיק מעלדונג
פילאדעלפיע, פּאַ – וועלטערווייט ויסקוק טאמעס ” קאָרנפלאַקע” לאַמאַננאַ took time out from training to discuss his much-anticipated זיבן. 15 שאָודאַון מיט שטויביק הערנאַנדעז-העריסאן בייַ די 2300 אַרענאַ in Philadelphia and live on קבס ספורט נעטוואָרק
What are your thoughts on Dusty Hernandez-Harrison?
I think he is better than what people are given him credit for. ער איז 29-0-1 for a reason. He has defeated everyone that they have put in front of him
(except the one draw).
How important is this fight for your career?
This is a career-defining fight. The winner gets a world ranking. It is for the USBA title and a spot in the Top 15 (אין דער וועלט). This is a big opportunity for both of us. I am zoned in and I will do what I have to do to get the win. It is a huge opportunity. I have a loss and I don’t like that feeling.

You just mentioned that you have a loss. What did you learn from that defeat that will help prepare you for this upcoming fight with Dusty?

The Douglas loss has prepared me for this. Being a headline fighter on television. We will be seen by more people being on CBS Sports Network. I am five fights more mature since my loss. I have been fighting solid competition and I have been more active.

What in those five fights has helped you prepare for this fight?
None of those guys are comparable to Dusty, but I fought guys with different styles and went some rounds with them when people may have questioned my stamina. I fought a rugged guy in Ayi Bruce and a crafty southpaw in Ariel Vasquez. Those guys aren’t killers, but I was getting work in.

What things have you fixed since the loss to Douglas? Did you feel you were overmatched in the fight?

It opened my eyes and it showed me that I needed to fix stuff. My diet and daily living. I was overmatched in maybe size, but I really felt going into that fight that I would beat him.
What are you doing different?
My diet and other things I do when I am not training. I was a middleweight because I was too lazy to drop down in weight. I have made a lot of adjustments.

You started out at middleweight, but you have eased your way down to welterweight. How difficult has that been and what type of advantage does this play into the סעפּטעמבער 15קאַמף?

I was always a big middleweight, but strength-wise I wasn’t. Now at welterweight, I am more explosive, Faster, more experienced and now I can dictate the action. This is the first time he (כעריסאַן) is fighting someone bigger than him. He has been fighting smaller guys. He now will have to face punches from a grown man.
The fight was originally scheduled for Atlantic City, where you would have been involved in the promotional aspects of the show. That would have entailed doing a lot of work behind the scenes, which would have taken some time away from training. Are you relieved that the fight is in Philadelphia?
I am thankful for that. I know I would have had to get involved in the promotional aspect and some of the stuff leading up to the fight. To me it doesn’t matter where the fight is. Philadelphia is a neutral ground. As long as there is a ring, it doesn’t matter where it takes place

Why this fight right now?

עס ס צייַט. He has fought one tough guy and if you saw the fight, he lost it (officially a draw with Mike Dallas). I have no doubt in my mind that I will win the fight and maybe even stop him. But it is a great opportunity to get showcased on national television for the USBA title.

‘BravoBrant Stops Fitzpatrick in Three, Continues March to Middleweight Title Shot
Current WBO NABO and WBA NABA Middleweight Champion and WBA #4- and WBO #7-rated middleweight Rob “גוט דורכגעקאָכט” בראַנט (21-0, 14 קאָס) of Saint Paul, מיננעסאָטאַ, kept his momentum plowing forward and continued to impress tonight with a one-sided beatdown of ChrisThe Irish GhostFitzpatrick (15-5, 6 קאָס) פון קליוולאַנד.
Fighting in the 10-round main event of CBS Sports Network Championship Boxing from the Grand Ballroom of the Pechanga Resort & קאַסינאָ אין טעמעקולאַ, קאַליפאָרניאַ, Brant had too many weapons for the game Fitzpatrick.
די געשעעניש, a televised quadrupleheader, was Presented by Greg Cohen Promotions in association with the International Championship Boxing League (ICBL), Ringside Ticket Inc., and David Schuster’s Winner Take All Productions.
Brant moved smoothly around the ring, landing at will. He dropped Fitzpatrick with an uppercut in round two (Fitzpatrick nearly fell out of the ring) and finished it with another knockdown at 1:18 פון קייַלעכיק דרייַ.
Typically candid, Brant said the game plan was to not let Fitzpatrick get a toe hold in the fight. “He’s the type of guy, if you let him hang in there, he’ll hang for a number of rounds,” said Brant, פּאָסטן-קאַמף. “I wanted to make an example of him and make sure I put him down.
The future looks bright for the red-hot Brant, who seems to tighten up his game with every performance. “Under the tutelage of Derrick James, I’ve learned to sit down on my punches and stay defensively sound at the same time,” he continued, “but now it’s time to step up the level of competition. As nice as it is to get these kinds of win, it’s a lot nicer to get them up a level.
אין די גלויבנס-הויפּט געשעעניש, Fort Worth, טעקסאַס, sluggerNo SurrenderSkender Halili made quick work of Silver Springs, מאַרילאַנד, veteran Ben Odamattey.
Halili, מיט אַ רעקאָרד פון 11-1, 11 קאָס, caught Odamattey with his proven power early and it quickly became apparent he couldn’t handle it. Odamattey tried bravely to keep his feet under the hell fire. He rose from a knockdown but was quickly under siege again and with Odamattey’s legs betraying him, Referee Ray Corona waved it off at 1:17 פון די ערשטע.
Odamattey slips to 16-15-3, 9 קאָס. Halili, never in a bad fight, is becomingmust see TVwith his action-packed way of doing things.
Undefeated middleweight CemThe ChampKillic (6-0, 3 קאָס) did what he was supposed to do in his tryout fight for GCP, by tearing through debuting Vegas fighter Jerhed Fenderson (0-1).
Fenderson looked to have some skills and fought evenly with Killic in the first round.
אָבער, Killic, of Frankfurt, דייַטשלאַנד, now residing in Sherman Oaks, קאַליפאָרניאַ, took over in round two, clubbing a tiring Fenderson against the ropes with heavy shots until dropping him hard to get the stoppage.
דער סוף איז געווען ביי 1:50 פון קייַלעכיק צוויי.
To start the televised bouts, באַלטימאָרע, Maryland welterweight MalikIce ManHawkins had to work all four rounds to move his record to 9-0, 7 KOs against a surprisingly determined SeanThe Beast of WarGee (3-4) פון פּאָרטלאַנד, Oregon.
Hawkins had too much speed and skill for the brawling Gee, but Gee kept it interesting with his wild swings and willingness to exchange. Hawkins’ brilliance carried the night though as he was given a unanimous decision (40-36 רענטגענ 3).
In the night’s opening bout, Detroit’s JaricoGreat Lakes KingO’Quinn (3-0, 2 קאָס) survived a scare from nearby Oceanside California’s Jonathon Quiroz (6-3, 1 קאָ) in their bantamweight four-rounder.
O’Quinn came out firing in the first, as expected, but Quiroz figured out how to time him with looping shots in the second. He rocked O’Quinn to his boots with a right but wasn’t able to finish.
O’Quinn did a little more in the final two rounds, but credit the California judges for not playing home favorites. The scores, met with booing, זענען 39-37 אַריבער די ברעט.
It was a good step up for me, being 2-0, fighting someone with nine fights,” said O’Quinn. “I learned that not everybody is going to lay down and that’s exactly what I wanted. I didn’t want a cake-walk.
What was supposed to be a routine dual-pro-debut for two unknowns quickly turned into an epic war for ages, ווי “גליטשיק” Will Davis finally managed to stop a wild-swinging Erick Fowler in four rounds.
A classicskill vs. וועל” גלייַכן-אַרויף, Davis would land his sharp, educated combinations only to be answered every time by the clubbing shots of the iron-chinned Fowler.
With momentum swinging back-and-forth every few seconds, Davis dropped Fowler in the second. Fowler returned the favor in the third.
By the fourth round even the crowd was exhausted, as Davis landed a barrage of unanswered shots that finished things at the :39 seconds mark of round four.
Local super flyweight product Danny Andujo (1-0, 1 קאָ) turned professional with a quick stoppage of San Jose’s Israel Hernandez, איצט 1-3-1, 1 קאָ.
Andujo swarmed, landing hard shots against the outgunned Hernandez, who took the 10 count at :55 פון דער ערשטער קייַלעכיק.
And finally, undefeated Temecula featherweight Robert Meza (3-0-0, 1 קאָ) cruised to a dominant four-round decision over brave, but crude Jose Fabian Naranjo (3-3-1, 1 קאָ)
of Baja California, מעקסיקא.
די סקאָרז זענען 40-36 רענטגענ 3.

25-year-old Brant has already won two fights this year. In April, he took care of Arkansas veteran Delray Raines in less than a round and in January, he scored a nationally televised “נאַקאַוט פון די יאר” candidate against formidable contender DeCarlo Perez. The victory put Brant on the radar of the boxing world.
29-year-old Fitzpatrick went undefeated in his first 15 fights and only suffered setbacks against some of the world’s top middleweights, including world champion Daniel Jacobs. “The Irish Ghostis never in a bad fight and will test any would-be contender’s true mettle.
Promoter Greg Cohen says he’s excited to be bringing his popular televised boxing series to California.
This is our first scheduled quadrupleheader and we’re excited to be bringing it to a classic boxing venue like the Pechanga,” האט כהן. “Rob Brant will be in against a guy who will take you out if you don’t have the goods. Skender Halili’s last fight was one of the best of the year, so I look forward to another slugfest. Cem Kilic won’t have it easy. Although his opponent is making his debut, he can really fight. And we all get another look at the amazing talent of Malik Hawkins to open the night. It’s truly a great night of boxing. (ל-ר) – Chuy Gutierrez and Demond Brock put on a real show
די “Knockout Night at the D” סעריע, presented by די ד לאַס וועגאַסand DLVEC, is promoted by Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boxing Promotions.
What a night we had downtown,” האט Derek Stevens, Owner and CEO of the D Las Vegas and DLVEC. “I want to thank the Nevada Athletic Commission for allowing us to do these fights outdoors. I want to shout out to Chuy and Brock,,,..what fighters! Let’s keep this going downtown.
בראַק, fighting out of New Orleans, learned to box in Louisiana State Penitentiary, where he served nearly 15 יאָרן, sentenced as an adult at 15 for armed robbery. The determined lightweight controlled the pace and consistently beat hometown favorite Gutierrez to the punch all night. Gutierrez, a tough Mexican who lives in Las Vegas, showed the heart of a champion, albeit in a losing effort to a fresher Brock.

I think I put on a great performance,” Brock commented after the fight. “I came out to give my best effort. We trained to fight inside to fight Chuy, not box, to make him uncomfortable in a fight he’s not used to. I won this fight on the inside. No backing up for 10 שווער ראָונדס. We prepared that way because we knew Chuy was going to come in throwing shots. But he’d never fought anybody of my caliber. I was looking to finish him but I didn’t want to get careless.
In a battle of unbeaten junior middleweight, Mexican invader RolandoRolaGarza (9-0, 6 קאָס) און ו.ס. Marine Corps veteran ErasmoThe Reckoning” גאַרסיאַ (5-1-1, 3 קאָס) put on a show in the televised co-feature. All they really needed was a phone booth as the two warriors pounded each other from the opening bell, although Garza got the much better of the action for the first four rounds, buzzing Garcia at the end of the fourth. The game Garcia came back in the fifth, despite suffering a lot of damage from a relentless attack by Garza, who simply outclassed his overmatched opponent with his technical boxing skills. Garza, who was deducted a point for throwing a low blow in the fifth round, won a unanimous 6-round decision in a firefight.
We worked the body and, thank God, וואַן די קאַמף,” Garza noted. “He’s a tough, unbeaten guy. We came here and did it. Viva Las Vegas!”
Garza (ל) was too much for Garcia
In the television opener, Las Vegas welterweight prospect Jeremy “J-Flash” Nichols (5-0. 2 קאָס) dominated previously unbeaten Adam Vasquez (5-1-1). The flashy Nichols dropped Vasquez twice in the final round to win a 4-round unanimous decision by scores of 40-34 דרייַ מאָל.

Nichols won his third fight in the last three months, “I can go next week,” Nichols said after the fight. “He was tall fighter who was undefeated. He didn’t come here to lose. I take my hat off to him because I hit him with some great shots. He is a tough guy with a big heart. I had to do the Ali Shuffle in the first round because he was my favorite fighter.
Los Angeles heavyweight JohnathanJohnnieRice (4-1, 2 קאָס), a former Winthrop College (נק) קוישבאָל שפּילער, upset 4-time Mexican National amateur champion EdgarEl Chato” ראַמירעז (1-1, 1 קאָ), pitching a shutout for a unanimous 4-round decision.
