LAS VEGAS (November 3, 2016) – The remarkable journey of Demond “Kroppsskudd” Brock, from prison into the boxing ring, has led him to a 10-round main event showdown Fredag natt, November 18, with North American Boxing Association (Også) United States lightweight champion Reynaldo Blanco (13-2, 7 KOs) in the latest installment of the popular “Knockout Night at the D” Serien, lufting (9 pm. Brock (12-3-1, 4 KOs), fighting out of New Orleans, learned how to box in the Louisiana State Penitentiary, where he was sentenced at the age of 15 for armed robbery. He served a 14 ½-year sentenced and he ended up with a 39-1 rekord med 17 knockouts. Upon his release, Brock won the Ringside Tournament and he was the No. 1 ranked welterweight in the United States. Brock reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Olympic Boxing Trials and finished his amateur career with an outstanding 54-3 rekord. He left prison a completely different person; much calmer and cerebral, which he totally attributes to becoming a boxer.

LAS VEGAS (Oktober 27, 2016) – “Knockout Night at the D” returns Friday night, November 18, airing levende (9 pm. The 29-year-old Blanco, fighting out of the Dominican Republic by way of Puerto Rico, captured his NABA US title belt this past January, taking an 8-round unanimous decision from previously unbeaten Angel Luis Ocasio (8-0-2). In his last fight in July, Blanco stopped another undefeated challenger, 14-0 Mario Beltre, in the second round for the Dominican Republic lightweight championship.
New Orleans-native Brock, who learned how to box serving a 15-year prison sentence, beseiret Chuy Gutierrez (14-0-1) in the June 10th “Knockout Night at the D” show to retain his World Boxing Council (WBC) United States lightweight title in his first title defense. Brock, 35, originally captured his title belt in 2015, by way of an 8-round unanimous decision over Oscar Valenzuela (9-1-1).
I 8-round co-funksjonen, Puerto Rican junior middleweight Daniel “Den harde” Cross(11-1, 10 KOs) takes on former Mexico welterweight champion Norberto Gonzalez(22-8, 13 KOs).
Cross, who has knocked out 10 av hans 11 victims, is the reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) Latino junior middleweight champion having captured that vacant title in his last fight (Juli 17, 2015), stoppe Aaron Garcia (14-3-1) in the second round in Florida.
Always dangerous Gonzalez is a proven upset specialist with victories against 30-3 Javier Francisco Maciel (DEC8), 20-1 Michael Oliveira (DEC10), 18-2 Antonio Arras (DEC10), og 22-3-1 Joel Juarez (DEC6).

Stephon Young wins WBA NABA title with decision over Tony Lopez Jr.

Nutley, NJ (Oktober 3, 2016)–Dette siste Fredag natt, newly signed GH3 Promotions fighter Stephon Young turned in a terrific performance as he won the WBA NABA Bantamweight title with a ten-round majority decision over Tony Lopez Jr.
Den bout, which was held at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, was televised live on CBS Sports Network.

Young controlled the final three-quarters of the bout as he used his speed and aggressiveness to win by scores 97-93, 96-94 og 95-95.

Young, 28 years old of St. Louis, raised his undefeated mark to 15-0-3 with six-knockouts.
“Det var en stor kamp. I have to give credit to Tony Lopez . It was an exciting fight, but I think he must have thought something different of me as I don’t think that they knew what they were getting themselves into,” sa Young.
“I was in tremendous shape. the fight was close in the first four rounds, and then I took over the bout.”
When asked what is next, Young knows that he will be ranked by the WBA and is looking for a world title opportunity.
“I am going to go back to the drawing board see what my manager (Fra Henry Riva) and my promoter (GH3 Kampanjer), and keep busy. I am going to the top. This is only just the beginning, and it will get any better.”
“I am not going to say he is next, but I want to fight (WBA Bantamweight champion) Rau’she Warren. He beat me in the 2012 Olympic trials and we have some unfinished business.”
“Stephon boxed a beautiful fight på fredag,” sa GH3 Kampanjer Vito Milenicki. “He was very impressive, and now he as the NABA title. Now between me and Henry Rivalta, we will move him the right way and get him the title shot he deserves.”

Erik Ruiz celebrates his upset victory

LAS VEGAS (September 30, 2016) — Late replacement Erik “El Trumpo” Ruiz opprørt Hanzel Martinez i kveldens “Knockout Night at the D” main event in front of another sold-out crowd at the outdoor Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.

“El Trumpo,” fighting out of Oxnard, California, put on a clinic, avoiding the lunging Martinez, who was frustrated throughout the fight by Ruiz’ slickness. Martiniz lunged, Ruiz countered and then he slightly moved to the side, avoiding any potential. Defensively, Ruiz was far superior, keeping Martinez off balance through out the majority of rounds.

Martinez (23-2, 19 KOs), a former WBC United States bantamweight champion, fights out of Tijuana, Mexico. Ruiz (15-5-1, 6 KOs) is coming off an impressive 10-round draw with 30-1 Horacio Garcia this past May in as Vegas. He has a notable win over previously unbeaten (11-0-2) Roy Tapia also extended top prospects such as Jessie Magdaleno,Alexis Santiago og Manuel Avila the distance.
“We knew there were some issues with Quartey’s visa situation,” promoter Keith Veltresa, “so we had Erik Ruiz on hold. I 10-runde co-feature, Lopez, Jr. (11-1, 4 KOs) squares off against unbeaten Young (14-0-3, 6 KOs) for the vacant WBA North American Boxing Association (Også) bantamweight title.
The 22-year-old Lopez, fighting out of Dallas, is coming off of a jaw-dropping second-round stoppage of Jerren Cochran this past May at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. The former WBC Youth Intercontinental bantamweight champion is rated No. 7 by the NABA.
“I remember growing up and watching all the greats as a young kid and thinking that’s going to be me someday,” Lopez said. “Thanks to RJJ, Neon Star and CBS Sports Network that dream is a reality. I’m a small town kid living out my dreams; I’m on the right path and the journey I am on is something big.”
Despite his opponent having an advantage in terms of their comparative amateur backgrounds, Lopez doesn’t feel that will be a factor in their fight, which he predicts will be very exciting.
“Amateurs are a different ball game,” Lopez commented. “It gave us knowledge and experience but at the end of the day, our records are just numbers. I don’t look at the numbers or the fighter, I’m only going to look at the fight because my job is to get in the ring and bring home the win.
“I’m a versatile fighter; if I have to brawl, I brawl but I can adjust to whatever I see fit. It’s going to be an exciting fight because I have everything I need to win. I’m a lot smarter in the ring and I’m coming to get the win.”
NABA rated No. 2 Young, 27, is a southpaw with a rich amateur pedigree background having compiled an 86-13 rekord, including a silver-medal performance at the 2011 National Golden Gloves Championships.
“I don’t really know too much about Lopez,” Young remarked. “I know he’s from Texas and he’s 11-1, which means he already know what it feels like to lose. He’s a decent fighter but nothing I can’t handle. I can fight any style, but one thing for sure and two for certain, whichever style I choose to fight will be a good showing. I’m coming to WIN!”
All three of his draws were fought on the road, including his last fight this past April at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, in which he and 14-0 Nikolay Potapovbattled evenly for 10 runder. Men, Young doesn’t appear to be overly concerned about fighting on the B side against an RJJ opponent.
“I really don’t worry about getting a win by decision,” Young explained. “I just feel like I will have to do a little more just to make it a one-way fight. And if the KO comes, I will love that.”
Las Vegas junior lightweight Randy Moreno (4-0, 2 KOs), a2008 World Ringside Championships gold medalist, will make his national television debut in a 4-round bout against an opponent to be announced.

All three of these title fights are evenly matched and can go either way. The winner of the main event should land a spot in the WBA’s top 15 ratings. And we plan to load up the undercard with many of Las Vegas’ most promising prospects.”
Martinez, 24, is a former World Boxing Council (WBC) United States bantamweight champion. A native of Tijuana, Mexico, Martinez is ranked No. 4 by the NABA, and on the verge of breaking out on the national boxing scene. He hasn’t fought since last December because his last fight was cancelled when he was injured in a car accident.
A former super flyweight champion at home in Ghana, Quartey like Martinez is a dangerous puncher who has experience in the ring. He will be making his United State debut Sju. 30 vs. Martinez.
The 22-year-old Lopez, fighting out of Dallas, is coming off of a sensational second-round stoppage of Jerren Cochran this past May at DLVEC. He is a former WBC Youth Intercontinental bantamweight champion, the belt he captured in 2014 with an 8-round unanimous decision from previously undefeated Isaac Torres (9-0) in Fort Worth. Lopez is rated No. 7 by the NABA.
Young, 27, is rated No. 2 by the NABA. The southpaw was a decorated amateur boxer out of Saint Louis, compiling an 86-13 rekord, including a silver-medal performance at the 2011 National Golden Gloves Championships. All three of his draws were fought on the road. His last was in his most recent fight, last April at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, in which he and 14-0 Nikolay Potapov battled evenly for 10 runder.
Vera’s brutal sixth-round knockout of 10-1-1 Joey Ruelas, also at DLVEC, earned the left-handed Vera his NABA-USA super welterweight crown. Fighting out of Fort Worth, Vera will be facing the toughest opponent of his 3 ½ year professional career.
Zizic, a native of Montenegro is a former International Boxing Federation (IBF) Youth and WBC Mediterranean middleweight champion. Ranked No. 14 by the NABA, Zizic now lives and trains in the capital of boxing, Las Vegas.
