LAS VEGAS (Martie 22, 2018) — Unbeaten bantamweight prospect “The Baby-Faced Assassin” Max Ornelas (10-0-1, 4 KO) goes from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas classroom into an on-campus ring at Cox Pavilion on April 20lea to take on his Roy Jones Jr, (RJJ) Boxing Promotions stablemate, Dallas challenger Tony Lopez (12-3, 4 KO), in the 10-round main event for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Asociația de box nord-americană (De asemenea) bantamweight title.

RJJ Boxing Promotions immediately put Ornelas on the fast track from the start. He was late for the official weigh in of his June 10, 2016 pro debut because of his high school graduation, turned 18 the day after his first fight, and later signed an exclusive promotional contract with RJJ on the following Luni.
The lone blemish on his otherwise perfect pro record is a two-round technical draw against 6-0 Leopoldo Martinez, which Ornelas avenged three months later într-o revansa, stopping Martinez in the fifth round. In his most recent fight last November, Ornelas was in his fist 10-round bout, headlining on beIN Sports from Sloan, Iowa, in which Ornelas won a 10-round unanimous decision over veteran Nick Otieno (31-11).
“I love what RJJ Boxing Promotions has done for me,” WBA N0. 14-rated Ornelas spoke about his accelerated pace. “I’m only 19 but they’ve shown that they trust me. They gave me seven fights in six months, making it much quicker for a world title fight. The rest is up to me.”

Ornelas’ parents insisted that Max would have to attend college if he turned pro. He balances his life as a UNLV sophomore, majoring in criminal justice, with that of a prize fighter. Fighting at home, on the UNLV campus in front of family, friends and fellow students, pumps up the affable Ornelas.
“When I’m not training, I’m in school or studying,” Ornelas explained. “I’ve handled things well. I’m disciplined and like to stay busy. I’ll stay in school and keep fighting until I graduate. I’ll probably cut back my workload, deși, when I’m training for a world title fight.
“I’m really excited about fighting at home. I’ll have a lot of people there supporting me. I like pressure and my adrenalin will be pumping. ‘Great Lakes King’ Ja’Rico O’Quinn to Face Kenya’s Nick Otieno This Friday in Warren, Michigan

2018 is shaping up to be an important year in the budding boxing career of undefeated Detroit-based bantamweight Ja’Rico “The Great Lakes King” O’Quinn.

A former number-one ranked national amateur champion, O’Quinn turned professional in 2015 and soon signed with the ever-growing promotional stable of Dmitriy Salita. Flashy and quick-fisted with good power, O’Quinn’s popularity with hometown fans seems to grow with every impressive performance.
“It’s a great feeling. I get a lot of love in Detroit. They chant my name. The crowd loves it. If you can make it out of Detroit, you can make it out of anywhere.”
O’Quinn says he won’t predict what will specifically happen against Otieno, only that he will continue to build his name.
“If it goes the distance, I see myself being dominant and showcasing my talents and skills for all six rounds. If it doesn’t go the distance, I’ll show them what I can do for a while and then get him out of there.”

When asked about his knockout streak, Carto said he does not go in looking for the early stoppage.
“I don’t go in looking for the knockout. I just go out there to box and pick my shots, and if the stoppage comes, este vorba.”
When Carto gets back to Philadelphia, he will be performing in front of a fan base that is one of the best in the Philadelphia region.
“It’s good to get a ton of support, and I enjoy performing in front of them.”
When asked about the busy schedule, Carto leaves it up to his team, which includes his his father Frank and brother Frankie.
“I just train for one fight at a time, and my team tells me that when I am going to fight, I just go back in the gym, but I do want to stay active.”

He knows he is in with a solid fighter in Dezurn, and is prepared for a hard fight.
“Dezurn is a good fighter. He throws a lot of punches, and I am ready for whatever he brings.”
Lopez cites many factors on why he believes his hand will be raised in victory.

Fierar, the 2008 National Golden Gloves Champion and 2007 Junior Campion Național Olimpic, debuted on ShoBox in November of 2015, scoring a hard-fought unanimous decision over Benjamin Whitaker. 5-picior-7, 26-de ani, will make his third start of the year after taking 2016 off to recover from and ACL injury and the loss of both of his parents within six months of each other. Smith has knocked out both of his opponents this year, Marquis Hawthorne and Edgar Gabejan.
Smith set up training camp in Southern Jersey, and has prepared for this bout with complete focus, and is ready to become a player in the junior welterweight division.
“Camp has been good, and I had a lot of top-notch sparring,” a spus Smith. “I have been doing a lot of strength and conditioning. This has been a wonderful camp, and on July 14th, the fans will see the best Keenan Smith.”
He continued: “My confidence is at 100%. I will beat him, and I am looking to kill The Beast.”
With a win over Baranchyk, Smith feels he can become an immediate contender at junior welterweight.
“The fight will open doors for me and get me bigger and better opportunities.”
Smith’s promoter Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions is fully behind his fighter and believes a breakout performance is in store for Iulie 14.
“This will be Keenan’s chance to show what we already know: That he is a vastly talented fighter who has the goods to go a long way in this sport,” Mielnicki said. “He has the pedigree and now this is the stage where he becomes a real commodity in boxing. We are looking for a shining performance on Iulie 14.”
Smith is trained by his brother Lemar Smith, and is managed by Doc Nowicki and David Price.

Unbeaten talent can become Northern Ireland’s latest World champion sâmbăta

Burnett’s clash with Haskins is part of a huge night of action in Belfast where Paul Hyland Jr faces Adam Dingsdale for his first pro title with the IBF European Lightweight strap on the line.
