LAS VEGAS (Maart 22, 2018) — Unbeaten bantamweight prospect “De moordenaar met een babygezicht” Max Ornelas (10-0-1, 4 KO) goes from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas classroom into an on-campus ring at Cox Pavilion on April 20th to take on his Roy Jones Jr, (RJJ) Boxing Promotions stablemate, Dallas challenger Tony Lopez (12-3, 4 KO), in the 10-round main event for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) North American Boxing Association (Ook) bantamweight title.

The Las Vegas-born Ornelas was 38-5 als amateur, highlighted by a bronze-medal winning performance at the National PAL Championships, ranked as high as No 2 in the United States in the 123-pound division.
RJJ Boxing Promotions immediately put Ornelas on the fast track from the start. He was late for the official weigh in of his June 10, 2016 pro debut because of his high school graduation, turned 18 the day after his first fight, and later signed an exclusive promotional contract with RJJ on the following Maandag.
The lone blemish on his otherwise perfect pro record is a two-round technical draw against 6-0 Leopoldo Martínez, which Ornelas avenged three months later in een rematch, stopping Martinez in the fifth round. In his most recent fight last November, Ornelas was in his fist 10-round bout, headlining on beIN Sports from Sloan, Iowa, in which Ornelas won a 10-round unanimous decision over veteran Nick Otieno (31-11).
“I love what RJJ Boxing Promotions has done for me,” WBA N0. 14-rated Ornelas spoke about his accelerated pace. “Ik ben alleen 19 but they’ve shown that they trust me. They gave me seven fights over zes maanden, making it much quicker for a world title fight. The rest is up to me.”

Ornelas’ parents insisted that Max would have to attend college if he turned pro. He balances his life as a UNLV sophomore, majoring in criminal justice, with that of a prize fighter. Fighting at home, on the UNLV campus in front of family, friends and fellow students, pumps up the affable Ornelas.
“When I’m not training, I’m in school or studying,” Ornelas explained. “I’ve handled things well. I’m disciplined and like to stay busy. I’ll stay in school and keep fighting until I graduate. I’ll probably cut back my workload, hoewel, when I’m training for a world title fight.
“I’m really excited about fighting at home. I’ll have a lot of people there supporting me. I like pressure and my adrenalin will be pumping. Because of my weight class, I realize that I will need to travel to other countries to fight for titles, but it’s always exciting for me to fight at home in Las Vegas (this will be his sixth pro fight in Las Vegas).”
Former WBA junior featherweight Rico “Suavacito” Ramos (28-5, 13 KO) squares off against Mexican featherweight Daniel “El Chato” Noreiga (30-11, 15 KO), a former WBA Fedecentro super flyweight titlist, in de acht-ronde, co-featured event on beIN Sports.
Opening the televised portion of this loaded card is the much-anticipated professional debut of Uzbekistan-native Elnur Abduraimov, now fighting out of Las Vegas, who was a bronze medalist at the 2015 World Amateur Championships, evenals een 2015 Asian Amateur Boxing Championships winner. ‘Great Lakes King’ Ja’Rico O’Quinn to Face Kenya’s Nick Otieno This Friday in Warren, Michigan

2018 is shaping up to be an important year in the budding boxing career of undefeated Detroit-based bantamweight Ja’Rico “The Great Lakes King” O'Quinn.
“I’m looking to make my TV debut this year,” said O’Quinn, finishing up training for Vrijdag gevecht. “Vanaf daar, the sky is the limit. When I get on TV, I’m going to looks so good I’ll become an attraction that people want to see again and again.”

O’Quinn says he won’t predict what will specifically happen against Otieno, only that he will continue to build his name.
“If it goes the distance, I see myself being dominant and showcasing my talents and skills for all six rounds. If it doesn’t go the distance, I’ll show them what I can do for a while and then get him out of there.”

NEW YORK - Januari 11, 2018 - Combate Amerika kondigde vandaag de ondertekening van vijf-afdeling wereldkampioen boksen, waaronder regerend World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamgewicht (118 pond) kampioen, Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (Boksen: 34-1-1, 26 KO's; MMA: 0-0) een exclusieve, meerjarige promotie-overeenkomst.

 

 

De enige vrouwelijke vechter in de geschiedenis als de enige Puerto Ricaanse concurrent ooit vijf wereldtitels te winnen in vijf verschillende gewichtsklassen, de 29-jarige Serrano, die werd geboren in Carolina, Puerto Rico en vecht uit Brooklyn, N.Y., zal haar Mixed Martial Arts te maken (MMA) debuut in La Jaula, de Combate Amerika kooi, op een Maart datum binnenkort bekend gemaakt.

Jayda “Lil Killah” Bailey (0-0) is gepland te staan Danae Dostie (0-0) in a female bantamweight contest.

Bailey, a senior at Hermon High School in Hermon, Maine, will turn 18 (the legal minimum age for one to compete in MMA in Maine) a mere eight days before the fight, thereby making her the youngest person in history to ever compete in a regulated MMA fight in the state. She has trained in the martial arts since the age of four and has been a member of Young’s MMA in Bangor since age twelve. Bailey also wrestles for Bucksport High School as Hermon does not have a team. Op de leeftijd van 15, she traveled to New Mexico to train at the world famous Jackson Wink MMA Academy where she worked with the likes of former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm (11-3). She currently serves as a member of the military police with the Maine Army National Guard. Dostie represents Kenney’s MMA of Lisbon, Maine.

“I’m very excited for my first fight in NEF,” said Dostie. “It will be fun to see how this fight goes. I know either way I will learn a lot.”

(Augustus 14, 2017)–Het afgelopen Vrijdag nacht, Christian Carto thrilled a sold out SugarHouse Casino, and kept his perfect knockout streak in-tact as he stopped Phillip Adyaka in round two of their scheduled six-round bantamweight contest that headlined a terrific ten-bout card that was promoted by King’s Promotions.
The card was televised throughout the United States LIVE on Eleven Sports.
Carto of Philadelphia used his superior skills to dominate and swell the left eye of Adyaka. As Carto continued to pummel Adyaka, referee Gary Rosato had no choice but to rescue Adyaka at 2:43 van de tweede ronde.

Antonio DuBose used a 2nd round knockdown to springboard himself to a tough six-round unanimous decision over Josh Crespo in a super featherweight bout.

Philadelphia, Penn. (Juli 26, 2017)–Undefeated bantamweight knockout artist, Christian Carto will headline a nine-bout card at the SugarHouse Casino op Vrijdag, August 11th.
De show wordt bevorderd door King's Promotions.
Carto, zal op zich te nemen Phillip Adyka (7-9, 4 KO's) van St. Paul, Minnesota in the six-round featured bout.
Carto of Philadelphia heeft een record van 10-0 met al zijn overwinningen via knock-out.
De 20 year-old continues to step up in competition, and he has looked more impressive with each outing.
Carto has kept extremely busy as he fought all ten of his bouts in under a year, with his latest being a 1st round stoppage over Juan Guzman on June 30th in Atlantic City.
“I don’t know much about Adyka. I know he likes to come forward,” said Carto, who has been training in Los Angeles at the Wild Card Gym and has been sparring with world champions.
When asked about his knockout streak, Carto said he does not go in looking for the early stoppage.
“I don’t go in looking for the knockout. I just go out there to box and pick my shots, and if the stoppage comes, het komt.”
When Carto gets back to Philadelphia, he will be performing in front of a fan base that is one of the best in the Philadelphia region.
“It’s good to get a ton of support, and I enjoy performing in front of them.”
When asked about the busy schedule, Carto leaves it up to his team, which includes his his father Frank and brother Frankie.
“I just train for one fight at a time, and my team tells me that when I am going to fight, I just go back in the gym, but I do want to stay active.”

Lopez van San Antonio, Texas will be making his sixth appearance on ShoBox. The 26-year-old was on the cusp of title shot before being stopped by Daniel Roman on Jan. 20th in Atlantic City. Lopez has not lost confidence as he is approaching this big fight against the undefeated Dezurn. Lopez also has a new focus as he moved his training camp from Texas to New Jersey.
“This was a tremendous camp in New Jersey. I learned a lot of new stuff, and now I am ready for the fight,” Said Lopez.
“I needed a change of scenery, and needed to get out of Texas.”
He knows he is in with a solid fighter in Dezurn, and is prepared for a hard fight.
“Dezurn is a good fighter. He throws a lot of punches, and I am ready for whatever he brings.”
Lopez cites many factors on why he believes his hand will be raised in victory.
“My experience speaks for itself. I am a real 122 pond vechter, and a win should be get me close to knocking of a door of a title shot.”
Davila, 29 years-old will be making his second ShoBox appearance in just his seventh professional fight.
He is coming off a tough eight-round unanimous decision defeat to Dezurn on April 14 in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
De 2016 U.S. Olympic Alternate is ready for the streaking Greer.

Smid, de 2008 National Golden Gloves Champion and 2007 Junior Olympic National Kampioen, debuted on ShoBox in November of 2015, scoring a hard-fought unanimous decision over Benjamin Whitaker. De 5-foot-7, 26-jaar oud, will make his third start of the year after taking 2016 off to recover from and ACL injury and the loss of both of his parents within six months of each other. Smith has knocked out both of his opponents this year, Marquis Hawthorne and Edgar Gabejan.
Smith set up training camp in Southern Jersey, and has prepared for this bout with complete focus, and is ready to become a player in the junior welterweight division.
“Camp has been good, and I had a lot of top-notch sparring,” aldus Smith. “I have been doing a lot of strength and conditioning. This has been a wonderful camp, en July 14th, the fans will see the best Keenan Smith.”
He continued: “My confidence is at 100%. I will beat him, and I am looking to kill The Beast.”
With a win over Baranchyk, Smith feels he can become an immediate contender at junior welterweight.
“The fight will open doors for me and get me bigger and better opportunities.”
Smith’s promoter Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions is fully behind his fighter and believes a breakout performance is in store for Juli 14.
“This will be Keenan’s chance to show what we already know: That he is a vastly talented fighter who has the goods to go a long way in this sport,” Zei Mielnicki. “He has the pedigree and now this is the stage where he becomes a real commodity in boxing. We are looking for a shining performance on Juli 14.”
Smith is trained by his brother Lemar Smith, and is managed by Doc Nowicki and David Price.

Unbeaten talent can become Northern Ireland’s latest World champion op zaterdag
SAN DIEGO (Juni 8, 2017) – Ryan Burnett says he can follow in Carl Frampton’s footsteps and become a huge star in Belfast as he challenges Lee Haskins for the IBF World Bantamweight title at the SSE Arena Belfast on Zaterdag, Live op AWE- Een schat aan Entertainment bij 3 PM ET / 12 PM Noon PT.

Burnett tackles his first World title fights in his first fight on home-turf in nearly three years, while the Bristolian puts his crown on the line for the third time.
If Burnett can rip the IBF crown from Haskins, he’ll become the latest World champion from Belfast, following in the footsteps of Carl Frampton. ‘The Jackal’ also made the red belt his first World title in the Titanic Quarter back in September 2014, and Burnett hopes that Zaterdag is the first step on emulating the former two-weight World champion.
“People keep saying that I am the second coming of Carl Frampton – that’s a big statement,” said Burnett. “I do believe that I can emulate his success and be a big hit in Belfast. I’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from Carl and seeing a Belfast lad become a World champion.
“He’s taken the steps that I am taking now and seeing the level that he’s got to and what he’s achieved – and what he can still achieve – is massive. He’s done so much for boxing in Belfast, and I want to have the same impact.”
Burnett’s clash with Haskins is part of a huge night of action in Belfast where Paul Hyland Jr faces Adam Dingsdale for his first pro title with the IBF European Lightweight strap on the line.
James Tennyson tackles Ryan Doyle for the WBA International Super-Featherweight belt, Ian Tims and Luke Watkins meet for the Irish Cruiserweight title, there’s the Cruiserweight debut of Mike Perez, and local favorites Paddy Gallagher, Matthew Wilton, Feargal McCrory and Tyrone McCullagh.
