La Serie de Boxeo de la Copa Mundial firma al dos veces retador al título mundial “Mighty” Aston Palicte

LOS ANGELES (Febrero 7, 2022) — Serie de boxeo de la Copa Mundial (WCBS), cofundado por el director ejecutivo Terry Hollan y el casamentero Guy Taylor, ha anunciado que ha fichado al dos veces retador al título mundial “Mighty” Aston Palicté (28-4-1, 24 KOs) a un contrato promocional de varios años.

Palicté, de 31 años, quien pelea desde la ciudad de Bago, Negros Occidental, Filipinas es el dos veces retador al título mundial de peso gallo junior contra un par de futuros miembros del Salón de la Fama., luchando por empatar con su compatriota filipino Donnie Nietes (43-1-6, 24 KOs), perder ante la actual Organización Mundial de Boxeo (OMB) Campeón de peso gallo junior Kazuto Ioka (28-2, 15 KOs).

En su 2016 Debut en Estados Unidos, Palicte se enfrentó en Las Vegas al ex Consejo Mundial de Boxeo (CMB) No. 5-contendiente clasificado y Federación Norteamericana de Boxeo (NABF) Oscar Cantú, campeón de peso supermosca (14-0) en las vegas nevada. LAS VEGAS (Diciembre 20, 2019) – Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions and Miguel Cotto Promotions will co-promote a potential early candidate for the 2019 Pelea del Año, when world title challenger “Poderoso”
Aston Palice (24-2-1, 20 KOs) takes on unbeaten Jose “Chiquiro”
Martínez (20-0-2, 13 KOs) in a World Boxing Organization (OMB)
junior bantamweight title eliminator on Thursday, Enero 31, at Viejas Casino & Resort in Alpine, California.



Palicte vs.Martinez will headline a soon-to-be-announced card in the 12-round main event, held on the Thursday night of Super Bowl week, in the Oak Ballroom. Viejas Casino & Resort is located 35 miles outside of San Diego.

mandatory challenger for the winner of the New Year’s Eve match in
China for the vacant WBO Junior Bantamweight World Championship,

Palicte and Martinez will continue a Philippines-Puerto Rico boxing

Palicté (OMB No. 2) heads the latest wave of world-class Filipino boxers, who is coming off a controversial 12-round split draw with his fellow
compatriota, 3-division world champion Nietes, for the vacant WBO
Junior bantamweight title this past September in Inglewood, California. Many at ringside felt that Palicte should have won the Filipino showdown, based on his relentless pressure and considerably higher activity rate, throwing 300-plus more punches than Nietes.
