The 32-year-old Kunchenko (13-0-0, M-1: 6-0-0), fighting out of Tyumen, Rasha, captured the title in his last fight, when defending M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Murad Abdulaev retired during the fourth round this past April at M-1 Watna 65.
