Das Pfund-4-Pfund-Boxprogramm schickt Jordan Aguilar und Leslie Soto zu Elite Qualifikation
LAS VEGAS, NV (Oktober 12, 2017) – In der Woche von 16.-21. Oktober, zwei der aufstrebenden Sterne der “Pfund-4-Pfund” Boxhalle in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jordan Aguilar, 19 Jahre alte Kämpfe in der 108 lbs. Abteilung sowie Leslie Soto, 18 Jahre alt in der 125 lbs, wird an den Eastern Elite Qualifier und Regional Open Championships teilnehmen, die im Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga stattfinden, Tennessee für einen nationalen Titel.
An der Veranstaltung werden die besten Kämpfer aus den USA teilnehmen und viele zukünftige Stars der Division, wobei Jordan Aguilar und Leslie Soto ganz oben auf der Liste der Talente stehen, die am kommenden Wochenende an den Start gehen.
Jordan Aguilar, ein angesehener Amateur, Wer an zahlreichen nationalen Wettbewerben teilgenommen hat, möchte seine Erfahrung und Haltung als einer der Favoriten auf dem Weg zum Event unter Beweis stellen.
Leslie Soto, ebenfalls eine erfahrene Veteranin, wird zeigen wollen, warum ihr aggressiver Stil die Aufmerksamkeit vieler auf sich gezogen hat, die sie im Fitnessstudio gesehen haben. Sie ist derzeit eingestuft #3 von USA Boxing.

PHILADELPHIA – Dylan Preis, von Sicklerville, NJ, will be named the “2016 Amateur des Jahres” at the Briscoe Awards on Sunday, Oktober 15, 2017, at Xfinity Live! in Philadelphia. Price won the US National Championships in Reno, Nevada and took home a Bronze Medal at the Youth World Championships, in St. Petersburg, Russland, both in 2016. His stellar year earned him bragging rights as the area’s top amateur.
Price recently turned professional, and will take home the final salutation for his fine amateur career am Sonntag. Past winners of the award include Darmani Rock, Jaron Ennis, and Stephen Fulton, all currently unbeaten pros.
ABOUT THE BRISCOE AWARDS ON Oktober 15 FROM 1-4 PM
The Briscoe Awards are named in honor of legendary Philly middleweight Bennie Briscoe and the trophies given away – the Briscoe Statue and the Briscoe Medal – all bear the deceased icon’s likeness. The event brings together the local boxing community, including the award winners, their families, past and present boxers, Kampf-Fans, other boxing people, and general sports fans.
This is the tenth year for the Briscoe Awards, which are presented by Philly Boxing History Inc., ein 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization, dedicated to preserving and celebrating Philadelphia’s great boxing legacy. Past winners at the Briscoe Awards include Bernard Hopkins, Danny Garcia, Steve Cunningham, und viele andere.
The event returns to Xfinity Live! Philadelphia, the central hub of Philly’s sports stadiums, befindet sich 1100 Pattison Avenue in Süd-Philadelphia. Admission is $5, and tickets can be purchased at BriscoeAwards.com or by calling 609-377-6413. Everyone is welcome.

D-Boys Boxing Team shines at Ringside National Tournament

PHILADELPHIA (August 1, 2017)–D and D Management and Promotional team would like to congratulate their amateur division, D-Boys Boxing Gym, for winning five national championships at the Ringside national tournament in Kansas City, Missouri.
Head coach David Price took 8 youths from the South Jersey area to Kansas City Missouri from July 25-30th, and Five of the eight boxers won gold medals (Lake Tilghman, Wykier Travis, Raymond Ford, Derron Gaines and Dante Trader); and three won bronze metals (Devin Price, Fitzroy Paul and Jule Jackson).
D-Boys Boxing has a goal of keeping the young people in the gyms and out of the streets.
D-Boys boxing is s non-profit organization, and any and all contributions would further efforts of keeping the South Jersey youth on the road to success.

ZUR SOFORTIGEN VERÖFFENTLICHUNG

Nutley, NJ (Juli 31, 2017) – Letzte Woche in Mesquite, Nevada. 15 jährigen Vito Mielnicki, Jr. belegte den 2. Platz beim Golden Gloves Junior National Tournament.

Was dies zu einer besonderen Leistung für Mielnicki machte, war, dass er fünf Gewichtsklassen aufstieg 101 Pfund zu 125 und verlor knapp durch eine getrennte Entscheidung gegen den Nummer-eins-Rang Luis Ybarra aus Colorado.
Mielnicki ist ein ehemaliger dreimaliger Junior National Golden Goves-Champion, und wurde zweimal zum herausragendsten Boxer des Turniers ernannt. Mielnicki nahm an Gewicht zu und kämpfte zu gleichen Bedingungen gegen ihn gegen den hochkarätigen Ybarra.
Seit sieben Jahren, Mielnicki wurde von Wali Moses trainiert , der der Großvater und Trainer von ist 2016 Olympia-Silbermedaillengewinner Shakur Stevenson

Demler Zamora aus Las Vegas’ P4P-Boxprogramm bringt Gold nach Hause

LAS VEGAS, NV (Juli 5, 2017) – After traveling overseas for the “Monkstown Dublin Box Cup 2017”, an international amateur boxing tournament in Ireland, Demler Zamora III von der Pound-4-Pound Boxing program in Las Vegas, brought home a gold medal. Außerdem, Zamora was voted most outstanding boxer of the tournament, which hosted over 1,000 fighters from around the world.
“Demler Zamora III is a special talent and one of the best boxers in our program,” said Pound-4-Pound owner Richard Barrientes. “Sein Vater Demler II, who is his head coach, puts in a lot of work to make his son the fighter he is. He’s an amazing coach and he’s a big reason for the success of our program with is knowledge of the sport, in addition to his strength and conditioning workouts. For Demler to bring back a gold medal and the most outstanding boxer of the tournament, says a lot about the kid, sein Vater, and our program. Our kids strive to be the best and their hard work shows when they come out victorious in these tournaments. I couldn’t be happier for the Zamora’s. They are a very hard-working family.”

Las Vegas’ Pound-4-Pound Boxing Program Sends 18 Participants to 6th Annual Southern California State Championships

LAS VEGAS, NV (Juni 8, 2017) – Die “Pfund-4-Pfund” Box-Gym, Las Vegas’ #1 Amateur Boxprogramm, is sending 18 participants to this weekend’s 6th Annual Southern California State Championships, in beautiful Menifee, Kalifornien. The three-day tournament, sanctioned by U.S.A. Boxen, goes live starting this Friday June 9th, and carries on through June 11th.
Pound-4-Pound head coach, Richard Barrientes Jr., has been grooming most of his students since they were 8-years old. Barrientes hopes to bring home titles in several weight classes.
“This is a very difficult tournament for all weight classes because there are so many good fighters participating from Southern and Northern California, along with some neighboring states,” said Barrientes. “I feel we have some of the top kids competing in this tournament and I’m hoping to bring home a few titles. It won’t be easy, but I have faith my team will do well, because I know they all put in an extremely amount of hard work. Gewinnen oder verlieren, it’s all about keeping these kids in a positive environment, where they can excel and gain self-esteem.”

LOWELL, Masse. (März 3, 2017) – Western New England won its fourth consecutive New England Tournament of Champions open class team title last night in the grand finale of the 71st annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, im historischen Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Western NE had seven individual winners to earn the Bill Hoar Memorial Award as the Most Outstanding Team. Northern New England finished second with three individual winners and Central New England had two.
“Noch einmal,” New England Golden Gloves Executive Director Bobby Russo sagte,, “it was a great tournament with so many good, competitive matches. We had the biggest crowd of the season turnout for the finals. The draw was done by computer, so the marches were nice and fair. I really liked the way these boxers were matched. The fans here in Lowell have been appreciated for a long time watching good fights and we plan to keep that rich tradition going.”
Western New England bantamweight Nathan Martinez, wer besiegt Joseph Valdez on points last night, was named the recipient of the Thomas Costello Memorial Award as the Most Outstanding Boxer.
Norther New England lightweight Liz Leddy won her sixth All-New England title with a close points win over Kelsay Kaiser, while three-time National Golden Gloves champion Rashidi Ellis (Central New England), Wer ist die Nr. 2 rated lightweight in the United States, took a decision against defending N.E. Champion Lyndsay Kyajohnian.
Western New England light heavyweight Elivis Figueroa captured his third All-New England crown. His teammate, Hampton Miller (Bild unten), gestoppt Sean Gabriel in the second round to win the Rocky Marciano Memorial Award as the Most Outstanding Heavyweight Boxer.
Last night’s open-class winners qualified to be members of Team New England at the National Golden Gloves Championships for men in Lafayette, Louisiana (Mai) and women in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (Juli).

“New England will be sending a strong team to the National Golden Gloves,” Russo added. “We may only have three female boxers going to The Nationals, but each one of them have won national tournaments. Anyone of the male boxers on Team New England could win at The Nationals. I think Elvis (Figueroa), Yarmarco (Guzman) und Josniel (Castro). I will offer the Team New England head coaching position to Luis Rosa from the winning Western New England team. We’ll also be brining Carlos Garcia (veteran coach from Worcester), who will be inducted into the National Golden Gloves Hall of Fame.)

I am proud to officially announce my 6th Official Amateur Boxing Reunion that will take place on March 18 at Monique’s Lounge in Harlem, New York. I am expecting by far the largest turn out of any of the previous 5 reunions which were held twice at Rival Boxing in Las Vegas, once at Jimmy’s Corner in Manhattan and once each at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos.
Of the over 100 boxers attending this far, among them I expect the likes of 1988 Olympia-Zweite Riddick Big Daddy Bowe, NYC Golden Gloves Champ “Gift” Junior Jones, 1984 Olympic champ Mark Breland, 1974 National Junior Olympic champ Marlon Starling, 1996 USA Olympic team captain Lawrence-Lehm-Bey und 1988 Nationaler Champion der Goldenen Handschuhe Kennzeichen “Zu scharf” Johnson.
At my past reunions, including the most recent one held at the Rival Boxing Store in Las Vegas on November 18, we’ve had the likes of Roy Jones Jr., Alex “The Bronx Bomber” Ramos, 1992 Olympian Montell Griffin, former three time world champions Mike McCallum and Iran Barkley, und “Der Kämpfer” and Irish Micky Ward in attendance.
Among the most special of moments at my reunions, we had Mike McCallum and Alex Ramos, who met each other in the semi-finals of the 1980 NYC Golden Gloves, reconnect in Las Vegas in late 2014, we had Luis Ortiz and Lawrence Clay-Bey, who were brought together in 2015 at Foxwoods after not only not seeing each other in 38 YEARS but after not even knowing they fought against each other in 1977 until just a few days before they reunited and in NYC over the summer of 2015 wir hatten 1984 New York City Golden Gloves 156 pound champion and runner up Dennis “The Magician” Milton and Jesse Lanton connect once again.
Any media who wish to attend the event in Harlem, New York on March 18 are more than welcome to be a part of the festivities.
