NEW YORK (July 15, 2016) – Prospect Jerry Odom steps up to face Julius Jackson in a matchup of super middleweights next Friday, July 22 on ShoBox: Generation Cusub ku nool yihiin SHOWTIME (10 p.m. IYO/PT) ka Foxwoods Resort Casino ee Mashantucket, Conn.
The hard-hitting Odom (13-2-1, 12 KOs) replaces Ronald Ellis, who pulled out of the bout on Thursday with a right hand injury.
Odom was deep in training and looking to bounce back from a controversial draw with Ellis in February on ShoBox when he received the opportunity to face Jackson (19-1, 15 KOs). Jackson is the older brother of John and son of former two-division world champion Julian “The Hawk” Jackson.
“I have been training for a few fights that fell through. I’m in shape and ready to go,"Ayuu yiri Odom. “When my team got the call we decided it was the right decision to take this opportunity.
