Oraintxe bertan profesional bihurtu liteke, baina beste gauza batzuetan lanean jarraitu nahiko nuke berak egin baino lehen».

Williamsek hainbat oztopo izan zituen gainditzeko bizitzan eta boxeoan dagoen tokira iristeko. Keefek lehen aldiz ikusi zuenean, Kyana ez zegoen prest boxeorako konpromisoa hartzeko, neurri handi batean, polizia gisa bere karrera berriagatik. Lasai egon behar dut polizia-lana egiten ringan bezala. Ertzain gisa daukadan konfiantza mailak laguntzen dit ring, gehiegi.

Beste pare bat gai zeuden. In 2015, bera eta bere aita biak tirokatu zituzten etxeko inbasio batean. Williams aldaka azpian tirokatu zuten, bere aita behatzean. Medikuek bala ez ateratzea erabaki zuten, nerbioen kalteak eta/edo infekzioa direla eta, ariketa fisikoa egiteak bala nerbio-kalteetatik urrunduko luke segurtasunez. «Sei kilometro korrika egingo banu,” adierazi zuen, «Hanka moteldu egingo zitzaidan. Nire ezkerrean indarra hartu behar nuen eta, yoga eta luzatzen ditudan bitartean, Ondo nago orain».

Beste galdera garrantzitsu bat da afizionatu gisa boxeoan jarraituko duen edo profesional bihurtuko ote den.

«Pozik nago USA Boxing-en parte izateagatik,” amaitu zuen, «Baina entzungo dut akordio egokia eskaintzen bada. Begi asko ireki nituen The National Golden Gloves-en”.
