Nell'ottobre dello scorso anno l'imbattuto Turk Siar Ozgul di Hackney e l'ultimo sostituto Matt Scriven hanno condotto una campagna in uno dei combattimenti più ravvicinati, tutte le azioni, battaglie dell'anno.
Era un vero classico da sala piccola che meritava almeno di essere nominato per il riconoscimento di "Fight of The Year", se non essere il vincitore assoluto, tuttavia non è andata così perché in qualche modo è riuscito a sfuggire al radar della maggior parte dei media britannici.
Sabato maggio 2nd, questi magnifici guerrieri entreranno ancora una volta nell'arena, presso la Sala York a Bethnal Green, Londra, questa volta in una gara di dieci round e con l'ulteriore incentivo di un campionato in palio – il vacante titolo internazionale dei pesi welter MBC – nell'evento LORDS OF THE RING promosso da Mark Lyons e Billy James-Elliott.
Il Battle Boyale di ottobre Ozgul-Scriven ricordava il primo della trilogia di combattimenti Mickey Ward-Arturo Gatti avvenuta in 2002/3, senza dubbio una delle più grandi trilogie di combattimenti a cui questo sport abbia mai assistito.
Se Ozgul-Scriven II corrisponde all'intensità e al dramma del loro primo incontro, potremmo benissimo avere un altro incontro pieno di azione, uno che eguaglia qualsiasi combattimento Ward-Gatti, proprio qui nel nostro cortile, qualcosa che non è un fan della boxe, o lo scrittore sportivo britannico dovrebbe mancare.

“Fifth bout of the night see London based Turk Siar Ozgul in action against Nottingham’s Matt Scriven.
