HUMBLE, Texas (Srpen 27, 2021) – Houston boxer Eridson Garcia (14-0, 9 KO) remained undefeated and captured the vacant North American Boxing Federation (NABF) Super Featherweight Championship, winning the main event last night on the latest installment of RJJ Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS, presented by Roy Jones Jr. (rjj) Boxing in association with Next Up Fight and the World Cup Boxing Series, at Humble Civic Center, Pokořit, Texas.

Houston lightweight prospect Luis Acosta (12-0, 11 KO) remained perfect as a professional, registering his 12th victory with 11 průchodky, versus Italian-born Christian Danilo Guido, who fights out of Argentina, midway through round one.

Harris’ most impressive victories to date have been a pair of 2017 8-round unanimous decisions over former California State welterweight and New England middleweight champion, Chris Chatman (14-7-1), a veterán Lanardo Tyner (32-10-2) for the vacant UBF All American middleweight title.


St. Louis’ Alexander is the brother of 3-time, 2-division World champion Devon Alexander. V 2017, “The Animal” stopped former IBF World Middleweight Champion Elvin Ayala in seven rounds and two years later, Alexander took an 8-round majority decision from previously undefeated prospect Peníze Powell (10-0, 7 KO).


“I’ll probably come out boxing him, beat on him a little, and then see from there,” Harris predicted. “He may take me the distance, but I’m going to win easily. I’ll have 20 wins and that should position me at the next level, especially fighting on UFC FIGHT PASS. I’ve never fought on a televised (or streamed) show before.


“I’m a boxer-puncher with real good power and speed. I’m a big guy for my weight class and smart. I do a lot of different things and I definitely have a lot of heart.”

Newman, whose 4-right win streak was snapped in his most recent fight, last February in Las Vegas to Geno Pilana by way of a close 10-round decision 96-94 X 3), is anxious to showcase his improvements working under the guidance of Jones.

Vera vs. Pendarvis suddenly and surprisingly ended midway through the opening round, when Pendarvis (21-8-2, 9 KO), a former USBA champion, stopped throwing punches and went to his knees. He was counted out with what is believed to be a hand injury.

"Dobře,” Vera (20-1, 12 KO) said after the fight, “the way my fight ended was anticlimactic. I was feeling really good and calm in there. I was just finding my range, establishing my jab and calculating. He threw a jab to the body and I blocked it with my elbow. I felt his knuckle hit my elbow. Vera has now won his last two fight since suffering his only loss as a professional back in 2018, when he traveled to France as a world rated fighter to take onMichel Soro(31-2-1) for the WBA Interim junior middleweight title, in which Vera lost a 12-round unanimous decision.

“I would like to get in the ring as soon as possible,” Vera added. “I wanted rounds, so it’s time to get right back in there. I’m unscathed and in shape.”

The 10-round main event pits undefeated Californian Juan “Jen podnikání” Barajas (11-0, 7 KO) against Mexican knockout artist Bruno “Tiburon” Sandoval (21-4-1, 17 KO), pro uvolněnou World Boxing Council (WBC) Latino super middleweight title.

A natural junior middleweight, the 22-year-old Gomez agreed to take his 6-round fight against unbeaten Mexican Ježíš “Mazo” Moroyoqui Palomares (5-0-1, 4 KO). Gomez is a technically sound, aggressive power punched. The 2-time Cuban Youth champion is the son of 1980 Olympijský vítěz Jose Gomez.
