30-year-old Potapov has bounced back nicely from his highly controversial “loss” to fellow contender Josh Greer by scoring two big victories, including his last outing, a shutout unanimous decision over Ukraine’s then 16-2 Oleksandr Hryshchuk in December 2020 Maskvoje. In his 11-year career, Potapov has already held the WBA Asia and WBO NABO Bantamweight Championships.


“I look forward to returning to the ring and putting on an exciting performance for my fans in Moscow and worldwide,” said Potapov, who has steadily moved back into contention for another big fight, whether a rematch against Greer or a challenge of one of the division’s champions.

In the main event and a rematch, Sergejus Morozovas (16-4), Kazachstano, fended off American challengerJosh “The Finisher” Rettinghouse (16-5), winning a five-round unanimous decision to successfully defend his M-1 Challenge bantamweight title.

SHENZHEN, Kinija (Rugpjūtis 4, 2019) – Canadian mixed-martial arts fighter Chris Kelades became the M-1 Challenge Interim flyweight champion by taking a decision from Alexander Pletenko last night at WKG and M-1 Challenge 103 in Shenzhen, Kinija.

M-1 Challenge “regular” flyweight championAlexander Doskalchuk was supposed to defend his title atM-1 Iššūkis 103 against Kelades, tačiau, the champ suffered an injury that forced Doskalchuk to withdraw.

Pletenko versus Kelades was a rematch of a fight back in June, 2018, in which Pletenko won a decision atM-1 Iššūkis 93.  Pletenko, tačiau, came in overweight and he was ineligible to win the title.

This true International MMA event included 20 professional fighters from 10 different countries: Rusija, Kinija, JAV, Brazilija, Ukraina, Kanada, Azerbaidžanas, Švedija, Georgia and Germany.

The judges were busy all night as eight of the 10 fights went the complete distance.

LOS ANGELES — Bellator didžiuojasi galėdamas pranešti, kad Rusijos MMA puikus Fiodoras Emelianenko (38-6, 1 NC) pasirašė išskirtinę kelių kovų kontraktą, kad baigtų karjerą Bellator narve.



Emelianenko atsisveikinimo turas tęsiasi „Bellator“ sunkiasvorių divizione po finalo, vykstančio per akcijos aštuonių vyrų sunkiasvorių pasaulio Grand Prix.
