Wilder:  

Un swing sauvage, combattant souvent bâclé avec de longs bras et une puissance de changement de combat dans les deux poings, Wilder aime définir la gamme avec sa main de tête et la suivre avec une variété de coups de poing puissants. * Puissance - La détonation au bout des poings de Wilder, est principalement la main droite, est de proportions nucléaires. FAIBLESSES

Wilder:

* Sloppy - Wilder montre tellement de confiance en sa puissance qu'il est souvent sauvage et négligé avec ses coups de poing et son jeu de jambes. Il a souvent l'air très amateur sur le ring.

* Problème avec les boxeurs - Les combattants qui utilisent un bon mouvement et des capacités de boxe perturbent Wilder. Il a du mal à mettre ses pieds et est souvent un pas en arrière. Il suivait Luis Ortiz dans les deux combats et a été surclassé pour la plupart de son premier combat avec Fury.

* Chin - Les rares fois où Wilder a été sérieusement vérifié au menton, il a montré quelques défauts dans sa durabilité. Ortiz l'avait gravement blessé et près d'une défaite par élimination directe.

* Distractions - Fury adore sa nouvelle renommée et parle de la WWE et du MMA. Il s'est séparé de son entraîneur Ben Davidson et appelle ses propres coups. Fury a également des sorts dans le ring où il perd sa concentration et il s'est retrouvé sur la toile plus d'une fois lors d'un manque de concentration.

* Vie personnelle - Ce sont des démons personnels bien documentés de Fury souffrant de dépression et de toxicomanie, avec un gain de poids à plus 400 Kg. Alors que ses triomphes sur ces démons sont admirables, les effets physiques durables ne peuvent être niés.

* Peau - Cela ne fait que cinq mois que Fury a subi une terrible entaille à l'œil droit contre Otto Wallin, exigeant 47 des points de suture. Alors que les médecins ont jugé la coupure suffisamment guérie, sa peau tendre pourrait se rouvrir au moment le plus inopportun.

Les deux combattants sont des showmen exceptionnels et leurs entrées de ring respectives feront vibrer la foule. L'électricité sera à son comble à la cloche d'ouverture. Avec leur familiarité, il y aura moins de sentiment de sortie que leur première rencontre. Fury sera sur ses gardes pour aller de l'avant et Wilder essaiera de chronométrer ses avances et de décrocher des coups de poing. À la fin de 1st tour, Fury se moquera de Wilder et il y aura un échange de mots.

Le mouvement constant de Fury et les coups simples troubleront Wilder car ses contre-coups trouveront principalement de l'air vide. Les tours suivants seront un jeu passionnant de chat et de souris avec le plus petit Wilder dans le rôle du chat, futilité d'essayer de coincer le plus grand Wilder.

Wilder trouvera le succès avec son jab dans le 6e et 7e des balles et une main droite en boucle attraperont Fury sur le dessus de la tête, le déséquilibrant sur la toile. La fureur montera, clin d'oeil à son coin, et reviens en action. L'excitation fera que Wilder se balancera sauvagement et tombera lui-même sur la toile après avoir manqué la main droite surexagérée.

Avec Wilder apparemment fatigué par son coup de poing du tour précédent, Fury tournera gaucher et atterrira plusieurs mains droites, puis rebondir hors de portée de tout contre-poinçon.

Le mouvement de Fury et sa vitesse de travail plus élevée porteront l'action tout au long des manches de championnat, le menant à nouveau à une avance apparente avant le tour final.

La décision cette fois sera unanime avec Dave Moretti et Glenn Feldman marquant tous les deux 115-112 et Steve Weisfeld un peu plus près à 114-113, tous en faveur de «The Gypsy King» Tyson Fury.

Abel Ramos Stuns Bryant Perrella in Co-main Event Welterweight Battle

Nashville, Tenn. (Février 15, 2020) – Fighting in front of a raucous hometown crowd for the first time in his professional career, undefeated IBF Super Middleweight World Champion Caleb “Sweethands” Usine (20-0, 12 KOs) mettre sur un spectacle.

“I was super fueled by the crowd tonight,” Plant said. “I could have gone all night. The whole city came out. Nashville stand up!”

Plant gave them plenty to cheer about from the opening bell, landing his jab up and downstairs. The aggressive Feigenbutz, 24, struggled to land anything in return.

Plant began landing the combinations in the third, bringing the crowd to his feet with a series of well-placed volleys.

Those shots slowly took their toll, but Feigenbutz was game. He came alive in the sixth, pinning Plant against the ropes and unloading his own combinations. Plant covered up and shook his head as if unbothered.

Plant pounded Feigenbutz in the seventh and eighth, opening up a cut on his nose and swelling his right eye. The challenger absorbed more punishment in the ninth, causing the ringside doctor to take a hard look at him in between rounds.

The end came swiftly in the 10e as Plant, sensing his foe was weakening, pounded away until referee Malik Waleed mercifully stepped in. L'heure officielle de l'arrêt était 2:23 of the 10th.

“I felt great out there,” ladite plante. “I was relaxed and sharp. I told you I was going to stop this before the 12th round. I want to dedicate this to my daughter, to my mother, my grandfather and the whole city of Nashville.”

The champion also stated his desire to unify versus unbeaten WBC counterpart and rival, David Benavidez.

“Everyone knows I want that unification fight with David Benavidez,” Plant stated. “You know who the best 168-pounder is. If you want that, you’ve got to come see me. I want that fight; I’ve been asking for it and I’m tired of waiting!”

Heading into the 10eand final round Ramos was told by his cornermen that he needed a knockout to win. Ramos (26-3-2, 20 KOs) delivered, badly hurting and dropping Perrella twice in the waning seconds of the frame, prompting referee Jack Reiss to wave the welterweight co-main event off with just one second remaining.

“I know the fight’s not over until it’s over,” said Ramos. “That’s the game. I’ve been sick for two weeks. But no excuses. I wanted to come here and perform.

“I watched the Chavez-Taylor fight like 10 million times and I never thought I’d be in something like that. It just goes to prove that fights are never over till it’s over. You have to fight every single second of every single round.”

Perrella (17-3, 14 KOs) was up on all three cards at the time of the stoppage; 87-84 and two scores of 88-83.

“Ceci est la boxe. It’s like Meldrick Taylor and Chavez,” Saïd Perrella, agreeing with Ramos’ comments. “These things just happen. I’m not going to take anything away from my opponent. “Perrella’s a tough fighter,” said Ramos. “He’s a strong, strong fighter. Je dois rien, mais de respect pour lui. I expected a tough fight and that’s what happened.”

Ramos never stopped coming forward, picking up the pace as Perrella slowed down. Avec 34 seconds remaining in the 10e, Ramos landed a perfect left uppercut flush on the chin. Perrella sank to the mat, getting up on unsteady legs. Ramos pounced once action resumed, unloading until a straight right drove Perrella to the floor again. The FOX PBC Fight Night opener featured a back-and-forth battle between lightweightsAustin Dulay et Diego Magdaleno. Magdaleno produced one of the finest performances of his career, dropping Dulay on his way to a 10-round unanimous decision victory in a minor upset.

The 33-year-old Magdaleno (32-3, 13 KOs) was simply busier, particularly down the stretch in this battle of southpaws.

“I knew mentally I could break him down,” said Magdaleno. “If I attacked the body, I knew I could break him down. He’s a young prospect. He’s taller than me so my plan of attack was to get in close and go to the body.”

Dulay disagreed with the decision. “I boxed the hell out of him every round, making him miss, catching shots, countering. Ouais, he hit me with a few good body shots. That doesn’t replace the heavy shots that I hit him with every single round for 10 rounds straight. That is madness. And it was a unanimous decision? That’s crazy. That’s unbelievable to me.

“Even Diego just told me that he had nothing to do with the decision. He knows. How can they do that to me in my hometown? That’s dirty man.”

Fighting in front of his fellow Nashville residents, Dulay (13-2, 10 KOs) started fast, landing several clean lefts in the second. Magdaleno never stopped coming forward, working behind the jab and landing to Dulay’s body.

Some of those shots strayed low which elicited warnings from referee Jack Reiss. Cependant, the work paid off as Dulay’s output dropped over the course of the bout. The sixth featured some of the best exchanges of the bout. Magdaleno got the better of those, landing a right to the ribs followed by one upstairs.

Magdaleno continued to press the attack in the seventh, scoring the fight’s only knockdown with a hard left hook to the solar plexus.

Once action resumed, Magdaleno pounded at his ribs until a left hook strayed low and dropped Magdaleno, causing Reiss to deduct a point.

“Every round he was hitting me low and, in the back, and on the hips,” said Dulay.
“It was more times than he got called for. I won that fight 100%.”

Sensing the fight slipping away, Dulay picked up the pace over the last three rounds. It wasn’t enough to overcome Magdaleno’s work rate, which earned him a win by scores of 97-91, 96-92 et 96-92.

“Experience has everything going for me. In my previous fight, I lost my head,” said Magdaleno. “This time I took my time. My camp said slow it down. Happy for the victory tonight.”

On the non-televised undercard, former world bantamweight champion Rau’Shee “Nuke” Garenne (17-3, 4 KOs) ended a 13-month layoff with a wide 10-round unanimous decision over Gilberto Mendoza (15-8-3, 7 KOs).

The 33-year-old Warren used his fast hands to land an assortment of shots from his lefty stance. In the fourth, a clash of heads opened a cut over the left eye of Mexico’s Mendoza. Warren sought to close the show, but Mendoza was game, firing back though outgunned.

Two judges scored it 99-91 and the third judge had it 100-90.

“It felt good to get back in there after being off for a year,” Warren said. “I didn’t feel like a rookie. I felt like I had to get a little rust off me. But I think I got most of the rust off when I was in the gym training. Going 10 rounds it felt good.”

“I hope to get back in May,” said Warren. “I only need 90 journées. I’ve already had my long layoff since last January when I fought on Pacquiao and Adrien’s card. I’m ready to get it on. I’m ready to move on. The only thing he did that I didn’t expect him to do was stay up.”

Unbeaten WBC Heavyweight Champion Wilder & Undefeated Lineal Heavyweight Champion Fury Square Off in Highly Anticipated Rematch Taking Place Saturday, Février 22 dans l'événement historique Mega PPV du MGM Grand Garden Arena de Las Vegas


LAS VEGAS (Février 13, 2020) – The upcoming rematch between WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay “Le Bomber Bronze” Wilder and lineal champion Tyson “Le roi tsigane” Fureur is the biggest heavyweight title fight in history.

Literally.

Standing 6’7″ et 6'9″ respectivement, Wilder and Fury create the greatest combined height ever seen in a bout for the WBC, Ring Magazine and lineal heavyweight titles, standing a collective 13 feet and 4 inches. The only heavyweight title bout “taller,” pour ainsi dire, took place in 2007, when the 7-foot Nikolay Valuev defended his WBA heavyweight title against the 6’6″ Jameel McCline. But never before have the sport’s very best big men been as large as they are today.

To put in perspective how large Wilder and Fury are, it’s best to compare them to the land of giants: The NBA. Consider the fact that at 6’7″ and in the neighborhood of 220 livres, Wilder is the same size as Los Angeles Clippers small forward Kawhi Leonard. Fureur, pendant ce temps, is nearly identical to LeBron James in terms of height and weight.

These days, a look at the Top 10 of any rankings you choose shows that most contenders are built like Super Bowl champion tight end Travis Kelce, who stands 6’6″ and weighs around 250 livres.

As anyone who watched the thrilling first contest between Wilder and Fury will know, the two are indeed athletes, far from the lumbering behemoths you might expect men of their measurements to be. Wilder might be known for his titanic one-punch power, but he’s displayed some truly dynamic movement in the ring as well. Go watch the tape of his knockout of Bermane Stiverne and watch him bound laterally to create angles before landing his devastating shots, juking like a wide receiver in the open field, and you can see why Wilder dreamt of playing college football at Alabama when he was in high school.

Fury never dreamt of doing anything other than boxing-how could you when you were named after a heavyweight legend and born into a family rich with fighting history in Ireland. But the “Gypsy King” was also born with remarkable nimbleness to go along with a lifetime of developed boxing acumen, gliding around the ring and boxing with a style that would befit a welterweight, not a power forward-sized heavyweight.

Wilder and Fury are distinctive because ironically, giants aren’t usually dominant in sporting fields. While some have been all-time greats-i.e. the 6’9″ Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara, who is a lock for the Hockey Hall of Fame-often times big men are known mostly just for being big, and don’t reach the pinnacle of their sport. And understandably so. Being colossally large is often a hindrance in as many ways as it’s an advantage, particularly when it comes to movement and dexterity. The NFL’s tallest player, seven-footer Richard Singh, played just eight career games, the MLB’s all-time tallest player, the 6’11” Jon Rauch, was a journeyman reliever, and tennis’ 6'dix” and 6’11” skyscrapers Ivo Karlovic, John Isner and Rilley Opelka have no majors to their names.

As human beings have become bigger and stronger over the years, naturellement, so have boxers. Rocky Marciano, standing 5’10 ½” and weighing just above 180 livres, would be a tiny cruiserweight by today’s standards. Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali, considered by many to be the two greatest heavyweights of all-time, and certainly not tiny fighters in their time, stood 6’1 ½” and 6’3″ respectivement. Theoretically, Louis would give up nine inches in reach to Fury, whose wingspan is 85″. There were outliers in earlier eras, of course-Jess Willard and Ernie Terrell were 6’6″ and above and captured heavyweight titles-but for decades it was possible to be the size of a modern cruiserweight and not just compete, but be an imposing figure in the division.

Things began to change in the late 80s and 90s, when Tony Tucker, Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis, a trio of 6’6″ heavies captured belts. But the modern era was ushered in by Vitali and Wladimir Klitscko, the 6’6″ brothers who essentially ruled the division for the better part of a decade before Fury unseated Wladimir for the lineal crown in 2015.

“Le remorqueur sera le meilleur possible car il sait qu'il fait face à l'un des meilleurs combattants du monde. Il a tout à gagner et rien à perdre. Il va tout laisser en jeu.

“Je pense que Tug est beaucoup plus solide techniquement que beaucoup de gars avec qui j'ai concouru. C'est un autre gars avec tout à gagner et rien à perdre, donc j'anticipe un combat difficile.

“Si ça m 'allait, Je ferais face à Leo Santa Cruz ou Gervonta Davis, mais c'est ce à quoi je dois faire face. Je suis ici pour défendre à nouveau mon titre avec style.

“C’est incroyable de regarder mes jeunes frères et de les avoir sur la même carte. Je suis ravi de travailler leurs coins. Il n'y a jamais eu un groupe de trois frères pour devenir champions du monde, et je pense que nous allons le faire très bientôt. Ils sont tous les deux extrêmement talentueux et affamés. Je m'attends à ce qu'ils soient meilleurs que moi au moment où ils en seront à ce stade de leur carrière.

“J'ai été le premier combattant à devenir pro sur ShoBox, et j'ai remporté mon titre sur SHOWTIME. Le fait que nous soyons toujours en train de le faire maintenant en dit long. Je travaille très bien avec leur équipe et je suis reconnaissant d’être à ce poste.

“Tu devrais t'attendre à voir ce que tu vois toujours avec moi. La boxe à son meilleur. Beaucoup de généralités en anneau. Bon QI de boxe. Vitesse de la main. Puissance de poinçonnage. “Travailler avec Ismael Salas a été très bon pour moi et je pense que cela m'a amené à un autre niveau dans ma carrière. Toutes les compétences, toute ma puissance et ma vitesse, tout sera avec moi samedi. Je dois juste le mettre en place pour ma meilleure performance.

“Le poids coq est ma division. Je n'ai aucun problème à faire ce poids. Je tiens à remercier mon équipe de m'avoir préparé et de m'avoir amené à ce poste. Il ne reste plus qu'à se battre samedi soir.

“Je tiens également à remercier Ronnie Shields pour la façon dont il m'a préparé pour ce combat. C’est un excellent camp d’entraînement et j’ai hâte de monter sur le ring et de redevenir champion.

“Je ressens 100% et je crois que le poids coq a toujours été mon meilleur poids. J'ai bien fait à 122 livres, alors je suis resté là-bas. Mon plan maintenant est de dominer cette division.

“Moi et Ronnie Shields avons une excellente chimie et avons bien travaillé ensemble. Ronnie est un excellent entraîneur et j’attends avec impatience une longue course que nous allons avoir ensemble.

“Je vais être phénoménal sur le ring. Je vais unifier 118 livres comme je l'ai fait à 122 livres. J'ai hâte de commencer.

“Ma stratégie dépendra du combat qu'apporte Solis. Je suis un vétéran de ce sport, datant des amateurs, j'ai donc l'habitude de voir autant de styles différents. Je dois me battre de la manière qui me donne les meilleures chances de gagner.”

SOLIS LIBORY

“Merci beaucoup à mon équipe qui m'a soutenu et m'a soutenu jusqu'à ce combat. Je suis très reconnaissant de cette opportunité. Mon adversaire a été un grand champion et je suis très excité d’être ici pour le combattre.

“Cela va évidemment être un grand combat. Je suis un guerrier qui vient toujours se battre. Il peut choisir sa stratégie comme il le souhaite. Mais je veux juste y entrer et mettre mes compétences en valeur.

J'étais déjà champion dans une division et je me suis battu sur les tableaux de bord en poids coq, ou bien je serais déjà un champion en deux divisions.

“Samedi va être différent de mes derniers combats. Guillermo et moi donnons notre cœur et notre âme et nous allons nous battre jusqu'à ce que le meilleur homme gagne. Je ne quitte pas cet anneau sans un championnat.

“Je vais tout venir samedi. Je viens me battre et je viens pour gagner. Je suis sûr que Guillermo est le même. La différence sera ma détermination à gagner ce combat.

“Je ne pense pas que le poids de quiconque ou la division contre laquelle nous nous sommes battus dans le passé seront un avantage. Je suis sûr qu'il aurait toujours pu se battre 118. La personne qui a l'avantage est celle qui en veut plus.”

JAIME ARBOLEDA

“Je tiens à remercier tous les grands champions de cette étape et tous les membres de mon équipe qui ont rendu ce combat possible. Cette opportunité a été longue à venir et je me prépare dur pour en tirer le meilleur parti.

HOUSTON, TEXAS – Février 4, 2020 – Ancien champion du monde Guillermo Rigondeaux cherchera à devenir trois fois, champion du monde en deux divisions lorsqu'il passe aux poids coq pour défier l'ancien champion Liborio Solis pour le titre WBA vacant en direct sur SHOWTIME ce samedi, Février 8 lors d'un événement Premier Boxing Champions du PPL Center à Allentown, Pennsylvanie.



«J'essaie de faire l'histoire en remportant un troisième titre mondial dans une deuxième catégorie de poids, tout en faisant correspondre mes deux [olympique] Médailles d'or,»Dit Rigondeaux, qui se battra au poids coq pour la première fois de sa carrière. «Je veux faire une déclaration et consolider mon héritage en tant que l'un des meilleurs combattants cubains de tous les temps. Je veux que le monde de la boxe parle de moi, alors que je cherche à redevenir un champion du monde. Février 8 sera un jour spécial pour moi et ma famille.

PHILADELPHIA (Janvier 19, 2020) – Jeison Rosario captured the WBA and IBF Super Welterweight World titles with a shocking fifth round stoppage of hometown favorite Julien “J-Rock” Williams Saturday night in the FOX PBC Fight Night main event and on FOX Deportes from Temple University’s Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.

“As soon as I stepped into the ring, I knew he could not hurt me,” dit Rosario. “I knew that my power was affecting him right away. This is a big victory for me and for the whole Dominican Republic.”

“Rosario was the better man tonight,” a déclaré Williams. “It was a great homecoming for my fans and I’m sorry I let them down. What went wrong tonight needs to and will be fixed. We’re going to an immediate rematch and we look forward to returning the favor.”

In his first world title fight, the Dominican Republic’s Rosario landed power punches from the outset and opened up a cut on with a punch over Williams’ right eye in the second round. Williams was landing power punches of his own, but was unable to stop Rosario from coming forward.

“I’m so emotional in this moment right now,” dit Rosario. “When I lost my last fight I said I will never lose again until I become champion of the world and that’s what happened tonight. I came prepared. I knew before the fight that I was going to win it.”

In round five Rosario landed the punches that would ultimately lead to the end of the fight, hitting him with hard straight right hands that immediately slowed Williams.


“I have to give a lot of credit to my team,” dit Rosario. “I had a 16-week training camp and that prepared me for this. My life is changed forever and I can support my family in a whole new way. I realized that I was going to win, once I was offered the fight. I knew that if I made the sacrifice, that I would do what I did tonight. I knew it 16 weeks ago.”

Rosario sensed his moment and came forward with big punches, while Williams tried to hold and survive. Eventually the onslaught proved to be too much, and referee Benjy Esteves halted the bout 1:37 dans la ronde. Au moment de l'arrêt, Rosario led 39-37 on two cards, with the third card scored 38-38.

The co-main event saw rising star Chris “Prime Time” Colbert (14-0, 5 KOs) drop former champion Jezréel Corrales (23-4, 9 KOs) on his way to a unanimous decision victory that earned him the Interim WBA Super Featherweight Title.

“Il est un grand combattant,” said Colbert. “People don’t realize that, because he had a bad decision against Ladarius Miller. Mais il est un grand combattant. He’s very awkward. He’s slick and fast. It was hard to catch him because he was running, but he came to fight. I take my hat off to him.”

The action began tactically, with Colbert trying to figure out the awkward style of the veteran former champion Corrales. Colbert switched from orthodox to southpaw and was able to control the early action despite a slow pace.

“I did my job in there,” Ledit Corrales. “My strategy was to hit and not get hit. I felt like I made him struggle for a lot of the fight. The knockdown wasn’t from being hurt, it was my balance. Our feet got tangled and I lost my balance. I came in here to win. We both did our jobs, but the judges scored his pushing more than his punching.”

Colbert continued to vary up his attack as the fight went on, while Corrales was able to have some success in the middle rounds landing straight lefts to counter his attacking opponent. In round 10 Colbert began to pull away, landing a clean left hook followed by a right hook to the top of the head that put Corrales on a knee.

“I had confidence coming into the fight,” said Colbert. “I knew I was going to dominate the fight and I told you all that before the fight happened. He was running and I was trying to catch him, so I told my corner, let’s have a dog fight. We got 12 tours. I’m in shape. Vous voyez, I didn’t sit down one round. I’m in shape and I came to fight. I wasn’t going to leave without this title.

The 23-year-old from Brooklyn seemed to get stronger as the fight went on and finished the championship rounds impressively, staggering Corrales in the waning moments of the fight to punctuate the performance. Colbert was the victor on all three judges’ cartes, par des dizaines de 117-110 deux fois et 116-111.

“The strategy was to use my jab like I did and try to set up my punches,” said Colbert. “But he’s very awkward and has good distance. Slowly but surely I decided to stop boxing, close the distance and get on him. I knew he couldn’t out throw me, I’m from Brooklyn.”

In the FOX PBC Fight Night opener, top super welterweight prospect Joey Spencer(10-0, 7 KOs)remained unbeaten with a unanimous decision over Erik printemps (13-4-2, 1 KO) after six rounds of action.

Fighting from the southpaw stance, Spring looked to land big overhand lefts but was rarely able to catch up to the speedy 19-year-old Spencer. Spencer dominated the action with his speed and by landing big hooks throughout the action.

“I was in there with a cagey, long southpaw,” dit Spencer. “Pour être honnête, when a guy is fighting as cagey as he was, it’s really hard for a guy with my style to just pull something out of nothing. He was a real defensive guy.”

Spencer was especially effective sneaking a powerful left hook around Spring’s guard. Spring tried to press the action in the later rounds and force a firefight but Spencer remained patient and picked his spots. Late in round six, a left hook from Spencer sent Spring flying into the ropes, before he was saved from the follow up onslaught by the bell.

“At the end I really just pressed him, said I’m going to finish strong, and hit him with some good shots,” dit Spencer. “If I had done that in the first or second round, I would have ended it early. The action also included sensational 17-year-old prospect Vito Mielnicki Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs) dominate Preston Wilson (6-4-1, 4 KOs) on his way to a unanimous decision by the score of 40-36 three times in their welterweight matchup.The Prelims opener saw undefeated Romuel Cruz (4-0-1, 2 KOs) score a first round stoppage of Julio Garcia(3-4, 2 KOs) 2:56 into their super bantamweight contest.

Kownacki (20-0, 15 KOs) is noted for his tenacity and has been progressing towards a world title shot with knockouts in five of his last seven fights. The 30-year-old Kownacki, qui est né à Lomza, Poland and moved to Brooklyn when he was seven, was an accomplished amateur in New York City before turning pro. He most recently bested veteran contender Chris Arreola in an action-packed fight on FOX en Août. “This is the fight I have been waiting for,” Ledit Helenius. “All of the years of training and fighting will pay off when we fight on March 7. Kownacki is about to feel the strength of Thor’s hammer. CALEB PLANT

“It’s great to be back in my hometown and my home city. I’m even more excited to be bringing home a world title and to defend it February 15 at Bridgestone Arena. It’s been a dream of mine since as long as I could remember. Since I was a little kid.

“I’m working harder than ever to make sure that I have my hand raised on February 15. I’m looking to do it in spectacular fashion, before the 12e tour. This fight is going to end in a knockout on my behalf. I want everyone who’s going to be in the building and tuned in to know that this world title is staying right here in Tennessee.

“My dad and I have been going at this for 18 années consécutives, non-stop. Having this fight has been a dream that I’ve sacrificed a lot for. It’s a dream that on February 15, it won’t be spoiled.

“It was a goal to become world champion, but it wasn’t the only goal. I think people tend to forget I only have 19 combats. I feel like I just made it to the base of the mountain. Some people when they become champion, they feel like they become the hunted, but that’s not the case with me. I’m still hungry. If you’re in my way, I suggest you get out of it. Because I won’t miss you.

“I’ve heard Feigenbutz is strong and physical and he thinks he’s going to come in and knock me out. Mike Lee thought he was going to knock me out and Jose Uzcategui said he was going to knock me out, but how’d that go for them?

Two-Division World Champion Garcia Prepares for WBC Welterweight Title Eliminator Against Hard-Hitting Ivan Redkach Saturday, Janvier 25 En direct sur Showtime® du centre Barclays à Brooklyn

Redkach is coming off a career-best victory in June, when he knocked out former two-division champion Devon Alexander in his first fight campaigning at welterweight. It was Redkach’s third straight victory since losing to John Molina Jr. in a memorable 2017 firefight that saw both men hit the canvas.

“I caught some highlights of his fight against Devon, but not the whole fight,” a déclaré Garcia. “I saw the full Molina fight though, and I know what I’m up against. Molina caught him, but before that, Ivan was doing well. He just got careless. So I just have to be on my A-game and make no mistakes.”

Garcia’s last outing was a victory in April over veteran contender Adrian Granados that was notable in that Garcia flashed impressive power in becoming the first person to ever knock out the durable Granados.

“I feel like my new conditioning coach has really been able to help me with different kinds of strength training,” a déclaré Garcia. “We’re hitting different muscle groups and it definitely showed against Granados.”

With his return to Barclays Center on January 25, Garcia makes his eighth headlining appearance at the venue, plus que tout autre combattant. “I feel like my style is dangerous for both Spence and Pacquiao,” a déclaré Garcia. “For Errol, I see he likes to stand in front of his opponents and he isn’t the hardest guy to hit. With Manny, I feel like my counter punching and style would also be hard for him. Si, I like my chances against both of them.”

Nashville’s Dulay (13-1, 10 KOs) has won back-to-back fights by stoppage since his lone pro defeat to top contender Chris Colbert in April 2018. The 24-year-old has fought professionally since 2015 et a remporté son premier 11 combats. He most recently scored a TKO victory over Yardley Armenta Cruz in February of last year, and his last time in the ring saw him stop Justin Pauldo in a fight that was later changed to a no contest. He will return to fight in Nashville for the first time since a 2017 victoire.

The 33-year-old Magdaleno (31-3, 13 KOs) has twice challenged for a world title and will look for a signature victory on February 15 to get closer to another chance at the belt. The Las Vegas native previously dropped title fights against Roman Martinez and Terry Flanagan. Magdaleno won three straight fights between 2016 et 2018, including a triumph over Art Hovhannisyan, and most recently lost to lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez in February 2019.
