SANTA MONICA (Februar 3, 2015) - Sergei Kharitonov (23-5) is the newest free agent by Bellator MMA, with the news that the Russian heavyweight has been signed to an exclusive multi-year, Mehrkampf Vertrag. A veteran of both Strikeforce and Pride Fighting Championships, Kharitonov remains on active duty with the Russian Airborne Troops.

 

Doubling as a kickboxer at different points throughout his combat sports career, “The Paratrooper” has decided to parlay his recent five-fight winning streak and focus purely on mixed martial arts. Kharitonov’s resume is extensive, with the 35-year-old scoring wins against some of the sport’s most notable names including UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum, Andrei Arlovski, Pedro Rizzo, Murilo “Ninja” Rua, and Alistair Overeem.

(Februar 2, 2015) –An injury to Mike Bronzoulis has shifted things during the SPIKE-televised main card of "Bellator 149: Shamrock vs. Gracie " auf Februar. 19 bei Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Girt,” where he defeated Josh Burns. His story begins several years earlier, in 2010, when Wren confronted an opponent tougher than any he could face in combat sports: addiction.

 

With an opportunity to continue fighting on the table, Wren left the sport and began his recovery process. A chance meeting with a friend led Wren on a trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he came across and developed a deep connection with the Mbuti Pygmies, many of whom were enslaved, living on only the scraps the slave masters would pay them with. Wren found his calling there and wanted to do everything in his power to help the Pygmies. With multiple visits to the Congo, including a stint that lasted a year, Wren started a foundation called “Fight for the Forgotten.” Through his efforts, Wren and his staff of 17 have systematically bought the land of the slave owners, and have thus far legally given 2,740 acres of rainforest to the Pygmies, effectively freeing them from slavery.

 

Partnering with other groups like Shalom University and joining forces with Water4.org, Wren and his charity are responsible for drilling 26 water wells to help provide both the Pygmies and the former slave masters with clean water, and have plans to drill hundreds more. Außerdem, the team has begun a sustainable farming project to benefit and provide food to both the Pygmies and non-Pygmies of the community.

LAS VEGAS (Februarruary 1, 2016) -Welt Series of Fighting (WSOF.com) has announced the addition of two welterweight (170 Pfund) bouts – Jamie “The Chosyn 1” Yager (6-4) vs. Greg Parker (5-1) und Ozzie Alvarez (6-3) vs.Andrew “The” Ramm (4-3) – to complete the live NBCSN televised (9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT), main card portion of its WSOF28 world bantamweight (135 Pfund) Meisterhip event at Next Level Sports Complex in Garden Grove, Calif. aufSamstag, Februar. 20.

Jamie Yager vs. Greg Parker

The 32-year-old Yager of Huntington Beach, Calif. will return to the cage after being sidelined for three years due to injuries.

A lifelong athlete who took up Jiu-Jitsu while attending Pasadena City College, Yager was the middleweight winner of the 2008 MMA competition reality television series, The Iron Ring, that aired on BET.

Lewiston, Maine (Februar 1, 2016) - New England Fights (NEF), Amerikas Nummer eins regionalen Kampf Förderung, wird ihre nächste Veranstaltung halten, "NEF 21: THE IMMORTALS” this Samstag, Februar 6, 2016 am Androscoggin Banküber Colisee in Lewiston, Maine. The fight card is scheduled to feature both mixed martial arts (MMA) und professionelle Boxkämpfe. Ryan Glover (2-1) will face Mike Williams (1-0) for the inaugural NEF amateur 205-pound title.

Mike Williams took a collective gasp out of the Androscoggin Bank Colisee when he came out guns blazing in his debut at “NEF XX: A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE” last November. Williams, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) blue belt and member of Central Maine Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (CMBJJ) in Auburn, blasted fellow newcomer Joe Krech (0-1) out of the gate before securing a fight-ending armbar in a spectacular 26-seconds into the first round. The dizzying debut was enough to earn the impressive young Williams a shot at NEF gold.

 

“This fight is just another step and he’s in the way,” stated Williams flatly when asked for comment.

Antun “Mörder” Racic, Kroatien, wird das Gesicht Ukrainisch Vitaly Branchuk für Recht für die vakante M-1 Challenge-Bantamgewicht Meisterschaft zu kämpfen. In der Ko-Funktion, neu unterzeichnet Alexander “Drago” Volkov (24-6-0, M-1: 8-3-0), Russlands, nimmt Estonian Herausforderer Denis Smoldaraev (11-1-0, M-1: 7-1-0) für die vakante M-1 Challenge-Schwergewichts-Meisterschaft.
Racic (18-6-1, M-1: 6-2-0) kommt durch die Entscheidung von einem eindrucksvollen Sieg gegen Alexei Nevzorov im September letzten Jahres aus an M-1-Herausforderung 61. Das leistungsstarke Kroatisch, wer ist ein herausragendes grappler, sinkt als Bantamgewicht zu bezwingen.
Branchuk (20-5-0, M-1: 0-1-0) wird in seiner zweiten M-1 Global Veranstaltung kämpfen, die ersten beiden Jahre bei M-1 Herausforderung 45, in denen er verlor eine Entscheidung zu Yunus Evloev. M-1 Global verlängert Verträge mit Ivan Buchinger, Stephan Puetz & Lee Morrison

ST. PETERSBURG, Russland (Januar 27, 2016) – M-1 Global President Vadim Finklechtein hat Vertragsverlängerungen für M-1 Federgewichts-Champion angekündigtJohn “Das ist das” Buchinger, ehemalige M-1 Challenge Halbschwergewicht Titelliste Stephan “T-800” Pütz und Top-Anwärter im amerikanischen Federgewicht Windschatten “American Bulldog” Morrison.
“Wir haben den Vertrag mit M-1 Global Veteran Kämpfern Buchinger verlängert, Pütz und Morrison,” Sagte Finkelchtein. “Wir arbeiten ständig an unserer Liste, um die bestmöglichen Kämpfer zu haben.”
Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1: 5-0-0), der 29-Jährige aus der Slowakei, gewann den vakanten Titel im Federgewicht der M-1 Challenge in 2014, über eine vierte Runde Knockout von Tural Raginov bei M-1-Herausforderung 52. In seinem letzten Kampf im vergangenen Oktober, Buchinger verteidigte seinen Titel erfolgreich mit einer einstimmigen Entscheidung über den aktuellen Leichtgewichts-Champion der M-1 Challenge Mansour “Tarzan” Barnaoui bei M-1-Herausforderung 62.
Pütz (13-2-0, M-1: 4-1-0), aus Deutschland heraus kämpfen, ist ein elektrisierender Kämpfer, der den M-1 Challenge Champion im Halbschwergewicht in gewonnen hat 2014, die Entscheidung vomViktor Nemkov bei M-1-Herausforderung 46. Pütz verteidigte seinen Titel zweimal erfolgreich 2014 gegen Luis Fernando Miranda (SUB2 – Choke) und Valery Mykasnikov(KO / TKO2 – Stanzen). In 2015, Pütz nahm es mit dem zuvor ungeschlagenen Schwergewichts-Champion der M-1 Challenge auf Marcin Tybura, der in drei Runden wegen einer stark gebrochenen Nase verlor M-1-Herausforderung 57. In seinem letzten Kampf im vergangenen Dezember um M-1-Herausforderung 63, Bei einem Rückkampf gegen Nemkov verlor Pütz durch eine Entscheidung seinen Titelgürtel.
Morrison (13-6-0, M-1: 2-3-0) ist ein beliebter Konkurrent im Federgewicht aus Okanogon, Washington. Der mutige 29-Jährige (unten rechts abgebildet) hat bemerkenswerte M-1 Global Entscheidung gewinnt Pavel Vitruk und Mikhail Malyutin.
