RENO’S JJ MARIANO TO MAKE PRO DEBUT / CARSON CITY’S ELIZONDO RETURNS TO RING JUNE 8TH

5月30日, RENO — Northern Nevadans JJ Mariano and Diego Elizondo are scheduled to fight on the June 8th world-championship boxing card at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The event is presented by Top Rank Inc., 让我们在促销, and the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The evening’s feature attraction matches World Champion Oscar Valdez (25-0, 20 科斯) against Jason Sanchez (14-0, 7 科斯) for the WBO Featherweight World Title.  



Making his highly anticipated pro debut, Reno’s own JJ Mariano will be fighting William Flenoy of Fresno in a four-round jr. welterweight bout. Mariano, who has been exciting local boxing fans by fighting for University of Nevada Reno’s boxing program, is ready to throw his hat into the prize ring.  

“I’ve been looking forward to fighting professionally for about a year now.” Says Mariano. “Being able to have your first pro fight in your hometown is something special.”

Mariano, who is a Reed High School graduate, has also recently participated in various Golden Glove tournaments.

In a battle of undefeated prospects, Carson City lightweight Diego Elizondo (2-0-1) will be fighting Sacramento’s Sergio Vega (2-0) in a four-round match. After a layoff, Elizondo is eager to get back into the squared-circle.

“I have bigger plans in boxing.” Says Elizondo.  “A win over Vega will be a step in the right direction.”

April 30th, RENO — The card is set for May 4th’s world-class boxing event presented by Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The evening’s feature attraction matches world-ranked Oscar “El Chapito” Vasquez (15-1) against Ricardo “El Niño” Sandoval (12-1) 在八轮比赛中, super-flyweight battle. Undefeated heavyweight prospect and knockout machine, Frank “Freedom Fighter” Sanchez (5-0, 5 科斯), has been added to the May 4th card. Sanchez was born and raised in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. 4月4日, RENO — Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa are pleased to announce “The Main Event” – an exciting night of world-class professional boxing Friday, May 4th, 2018 at the Reno/Sparks Convention Center. Oscar “El Chapito” Vasquez (15-1) VS. Ricardo “El Niño” Sandoval (12-1) are matched in the main event.

 

 

 

 

In a sensational eight-round super-flyweight bout, Reno’s own Oscar Vasquez will be facing his toughest foe yet. Reno boxing fans remember Ricardo Sandoval (蒂华纳, MX) when he faced the tough Brent Venegas last November. Sandoval earned the decision over Venegas in an action-packed brawl. Sandoval has earned three more wins since then. Many consider Vasquez vs. Sandoval to be a pick-em fight.

 

 

 

 

“It’s a coinflip.” Says Let’s Get It On Promotions’ Tommy Lane. “Both guys come forward, both like to exchange punches. It will be a very exciting fight.”

AUGUST 14th, RENO — The Fallon Rural Rumble once again delivered a night of sensational world-class professional boxing in it’s tenth installment 周六 夜晚.

 

In his first ten-round fight, Reno native and world-ranked flyweight Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez scored an impressive unanimous decision win over Javier Gallo in the evening’s main event. Vasquez improves to 14-1.

 

In the co-main, Stockton, CA sensation Gabriel Flores Jr. scored a shutout unanimous decision win over the tough Jorge Padron of Mexico. Flores improves to 3-0 (2 科斯).

 

Carson City’s Diego Elizondo also scored a shutout UD victory over Chandler Clements in his pro debut.

 

Sacramento’s Pedro Moreno improves to 7-0 (5 科斯) with an impressive second-round TKO victory over Curtis Morton.

JULY 19th, RENO — The City of Fallon and Let’s Get It On Promotions are pleased to announce the tenth annual ‘Rural Rumble’. 该 August 12th fight card will feature Reno’s Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez (13-1), and Gabriel Flores (2-0) 斯托克顿, 例如.

Vasquez versus Gallo is scheduled for ten rounds.

Reno Jr.-flyweight, Santos Vasquez, looks to continue his third win in a row in a six-round bout. And finally, Reno bantamweight Alec McGee (2-1) looks to get back into the win column as he, 太, returns to Fallon for the 2017 Rural Rumble in a four round scrap.

6月13日, RENO — In front of a packed crowd at the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa, Reno, flyweight Oscar Vasquez took a unanimous victory against Mexico’s Javier Lapizco. 三位裁判均对本场比赛打分 80-72. June 8th, RENO — The final touches for 周六 world-class boxing event have been finalized by Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa. The full professional boxing card will take place At Atlantis’ Paradise Ballroom 7 PM 星期六.

 

June 11th’s card will be headlined by Reno’s own Oscar Vasquez (9-1) as he faces Mexico’s Javier Lapizco (7-3) of in an eight-round flyweight bout.
