He is a strong, aggressive puncher who has successfully transitioned from the super middleweight division to light heavyweight.

Andreozzi, of Swansea (MA), who is a former Massachusetts Middleweight Champion, has overcome a serious injury to become a title challenger. He broke his lower leg that resulted in 2 major surgeries that kept him sidelined for a full year. Andreozzi is back, hungry and ready for Perkins.

Undefeated light heavyweight New Bedford Edet Mkapanam battling back from surgeries Granite Chin’s “Hometown Royalty” this Saturday in Bridgewater, MA (see attached with pictures)

QUINCY, ماس. (مئی 3, 2022) – Undefeated New Bedford (MA) light heavyweight prospect Edet Mkapanam (6-0, 5 کوس) is battling back from retina and shoulder surgeries that sidelined him 16 months before his successful ring return this past March.


The 27-year-old Mkapanam faces Scott “Bombz” Scott on the May 7ویں Hometown Royalty” card, presented by Granite Chin Promotions in association with Cappiello Boxing Promotions and Shearns Boxing Promotions, at Bridgewater Veterans Club in Bridgewater, میسا چوسٹس (85 Cottage St.), marking the first professional boxing event ever held in that town.


Raised in Brockton, known as the “City of Champions, Mkapanam had an abbreviated amateur career (8-3), although he was a heavyweight winner in the 2017 Rocky Marciano Tournament, as well as runner-up a year later in the prestigious New England Golden Gloves Championships.


Mkapanam had back-to-back surgeries, starting with a torn ligament in his shoulder, followed by surgery to repair his retina in the right eye.


“I didn’t have much of an amateur career and I’ve been learning on the job (as a pro),” Mkapanam explained. “I learned in the gym sparring with some of the top fighters in New England like Peter Manfredo, جونیئر. and Mark Deluca. میرے دماغ میں, I wanted to continue fighting and I kept working hard in the gym while recovering. Some doctors said I shouldn’t fight again, so I upped my intensity in the gym, and when I was examined again the doctors said my eye was a lot better and I was cleared to fight. QUINCY, ماس. (مارچ 16,  2022) – Granite Chin Promotions has announced its third promotional event of 2022, “Hometown Royalty,” scheduled on Saturday night, May 7th, at Bridgewater Veterans Club in Bridgewater, میسا چوسٹس (85 Cottage St.).

“Hometown Royalty,” is presented by Granite Chin in association with Cappiello Boxing Promotions and Shearns Boxing Promotions.

Professional boxers from the South Shore of the Bay State will be featured including reigning New England Welterweight Champion Mike “Ban Man” Ohan (14-1, 8 کوس), of Holbrook, Quincy lightweight Ryan “The Polish Prince” Kielczweski (30-6, 11 کوس), New Bedford light heavyweight Edet Mkpanam (5-0, 4 کوس), and Brockton’s pro-debut of 2020 نیو انگلینڈ گولڈن دستانے چیمپئن, welterweight David Ribeiro.

We have no doubt this is going to be a packed house with an electric atmosphere with amateurs fighting during the day and our star-studded pro show in the evening.”

QUINCY, ماس. (مارچ 1, 2022) – Undefeated lightweight prospect Nicholas “Saint Nick” Molina will headline for the first time this Saturday night on the “Slugfest” professional boxing card, presented by Granite Chin Promotions, at New England Sports Center in Derry, نیو ہیمپشائر.


The 22-year-old Molina (7-0, 2 کوس), fighting out of Lowell (MA), will face “Outlaw” Ryan Venable (2-10, 6 کوس) in the 6-round main event.


Woburn (MA) middleweight Julien “Black Dragon” Baptiste (3-1, 2 کوس) faces Brian Urday (1-0), of Whitman (MA), in an 6-round co-featured event that could steal the “Slugfest” show.

QUINCY, ماس. (مارچ 1, 2022) – Granite Chin Promotions returns to the Granite State on March 19ویں with another professional boxing card, “Slugfest,” at New England Sports Center in Derry, نیو ہیمپشائر.


“Slugfest” will be the second Granite Chin event promoted three weeks having presented “Showcase” this past Saturday night in Framingham, میسا چوسٹس.

“After an exciting show in Framingham last weekend,” Granite State president Chris Traietti said, “I am excited to get back to Derry, نیو ہیمپشائر, where we have had a ton of success during the last two years.”

Granite Chin Promotions returns to Massachusetts Nelson Perez vs. Tyrone Luckey to headline “Showcase” Feb. 26th at Sheraton Hotel in Framingham, MA

“Showcase” will mark Granite Chin’s first event in Massachusetts in more than 2 سال, as well as being only the second professional boxing show ever in Framingham, which is located 23 miles west of Boston.

“I am excited to be coming back to Massachusetts,” Granite Chin president Chris Traietti said. “Between changes occurring with the commission, then COVID, I just felt like it was a good time to step away for a bit, head up to New Hampshire and let things sort of settle in Massachusetts. Now that things are sort of back to normal, I feel like the time is right to bring our great club-show boxing back to Massachusetts. This card is going to be highly competitive from top to bottom. I have the roster now where I can both develop fighters and put on high quality local shows. 2020 was about making good relationships with other promoters and matchmakers; 2021 about developing a quality roster and keeping guys busy during a pandemic. 2022 is going to be geared towards becoming the face of quality local boxing shows and getting Granite Chin fighters on high-level, world-class cards all across the country.”

The 8-round main event will pit local favorite Nelson “Chino” Perez (5-0, 2 کوس) against New Jersey veteran super lightweight Tyrone “Hands of Stone” Luckey (15-16-4, 11 کوس).

Perez is a native of Puerto Rico who lives in Marlboro (MA), which borders Framingham. A past New England Golden Gloves champion as an amateur, Perez is coming off a dominating 4-round unanimous decision victory (40-34 X 3) دسمبر 4ویں against Raymundo Rios Cardies on a DAZN card in Manchester, نیو ہیمپشائر.
