LOWELL, Masse. (Février 5, 2016) – Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston dominated last night’s Central New England (grand Lowell) championship final round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, open and novice classes, à l'auditorium historique Lowell Memorial.
Peter Welch’s Gym had seven winners last night: open – Hyde Park welterweight Jennifer Perel and Brookline light welterweight Abraham Nova; novice – Dorchester lightweightJonathen DePina et moyens Brian Lawrence, East Boston lightweight Claire Duffy super-légers, Boston light welterweight Katie Gregory and Franklin heavyweight Jared Gately.
Lowell West End Gym and Grealish Boston had the second-most winners last evening with two apiece.
Hier soir, 15 matches went the distance, including several upsets, along with one technical knockout and a two walkovers.
All CNE finals winners qualified to compete in the upcoming New England Tournament of Champions, also held at Lowell Memorial Auditorium, départ jeudi prochain night with the semifinals of the novice division.

LOWELL, Masse. (Février 2, 2016) – Thirty-eight surviving amateur boxers will compete in 19 scheduled matches this Thursday night (Février. 4) the Central New England (grand Lowell) final round, open and novice divisions, of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
All CNE finals winners will advance to the New England Tournament of Champions, also held at Lowell Memorial Auditorium, later this month.

LOWELL, Masse. (Janvier 29, 2016) – For the second week in a row all 13 matches went the three-round distance in last night’s Central New England (grand Lowell) semifinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, featuring open and novice class action, à l'auditorium historique Lowell Memorial.
Returning New England welterweight champion Xavier Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing in Lawrence (MA), était 4-1 winner against Michael Fontenez, de Nashua, New Hampshire.
Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston led the hit parade with three winners, all in the novice class: léger Jonathan Depina, welters Lipi Fernandes et moyens Brian Lawrence. The Lowell West End Gym was the only other with more than one winner last night, both in the open class, léger Brandon Higgins and light welterweight Jérémie Perez.

LOWELL, Masse. (Janvier 25, 2016) – Returning New England Golden Gloves welterweight champion Xavier Vega, de Lawrence (MA), leads a host of talented open and novice class amateur boxers into this Thursday night’s (Jan. 8) in the Central New England (grand Lowell) semifinals of the 70e annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The 21-year-old Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing, faces Nashua (New Hampshire) provocateur Michael Fontanez in one of eight open class matches. There are also eight novice class matches scheduled.
Vega, qui a 33-3 record amateur, n'a pas commencé la boxe avant d'être 17 because he has only one kidney. A construction worker by day, Vega hopes to become a professional boxer and, sinon, a Lawrence police officer in order to give back to his community.

Samedi 14 Mars au 6:00 h

Rejoignez-nous ce samedi le soir du 14 Mars et profiter de l'excitation de la boxe amateur au niveau de la base.

 

Ce est un spectacle de boxe-bénéfice au profit de Gleason Give A Kid A Dream Foundation.

La pesée pour ce spectacle débutera à 4:00PM et le premier combat débutera à 6:00PM.

 

Tous nos matchs sont sanctionnés par USABoxingMetro. Tous les boxeurs doivent avoir leur livre de boxe avec eux afin de participer.

 

Le prix du billet est de $25 par personne. Enfants 6 et sous ne sont pas chargée. Tous les membres de sport et amateurs enregistrés avec leurs livres de salaire de la main $20 par personne.

Josh Teicher est un Montage accompli et a été membre du gymnase Gleason pour les trois dernières années.

 

Il enseigne une semaine, mains sur cours d'apprentissage de tous les aspects impliqués dans la modification d'une promo pour un spectacle, série, documentaire, soit en ligne ou à la télévision.

26 avril État de New York de boxe Hall of Fame.

Bruce Silverglade sera l'un des intronisés au Temple de la renommée.

 

La 4ème induction et dîner de gala annuel sera Dimanche 26 Avril à On The Bay Russo à Howard Beach. L'événement se déroule à partir de12:30h à 5:30h.

 

Les billets sont $125. Les festivités comprennent le brunch, cocktail, repas complet et open bar.

Welterweight Prospect, 'Speedy’ Rashidi Ellis se battra ce samedi pour deux ceintures à Caguas, Puerto Rico

L'ancienne star amateur, 'Speedy’ Rashidi Ellis ( 13-0, 10 KO ) de Lynn, Massachusetts reviendra sur le ring ce samedi, Le 14 mars à la Roger L. Mendoza Colisée de Caguas, Puerto Rico. Son adversaire sera colombienne, Victor Gonzalez ( 12-9, 11 KO ) dans un combat de huit rondes, calendrier pour les logements inoccupés WBA Fedecaribe, et WBC Latino welters titres.
“Je suis prêt à prendre ces titres à Puerto Rico et au Massachusetts. Je suis très reconnaissant à mes peuple portoricain, et les fans peuvent se attendre à une guerre contre un combattant percutant colombienne. La formation avec mon entraîneur Alex Rivera a été formidable, et nous sommes très confiants”, Rashidi commenté Ellis, qui mardi prochain se joindra au camp d'entraînement de Manny Pacquiao à la Wild Card Gym comme l'un de ses partenaires d'entraînement.
L'événement est promu par Miguel Cotto Promotions et Roc Nation Sports.
Dans son dernier combat sur Novembre 14, Ellis outboxed, et vaincu par KO cinquième ronde, vétéran tought, Joseph De los Santos ( 18-14-9 KO ) de la République dominicaine dans un 6 rond de la division moyen junior tenue à San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Ellis, qui à un moment de sa carrière de boxe amateur a été classé numéro un à la division Welterweight (152 livres) aux États-Unis, fini avec un record de 60-11, qui comprenait:
-2012 PAL national (Police Athletic League) Champion-Trois fois la Nouvelle-Angleterre Golden Gloves champion

-Rocky Marciano amateur Champion Tournoi de boxe

-Médaille d'argent à la Coupe indépendant en République dominicaine

Ellis vient d'une famille de boxeurs. Son frère aîné, Ronald “Akeem” est un super-moyens invaincu perspective. Sa sœur, Rashida, est un 2012 Champion PAL, et une médaille de victoire favori pour le U.S. Women`s équipe de boxe dans le 2016 Jeux Olympiques d'été.
