Light-Heavyweight Kye Brooks Signs With Prince Ranch Boxing, Blair Cobbs Returns to the Ring

LAS VEGAS, NV (Oktubre 5, 2017) – Prince Ranch Boxing (PRB) has signed light-heavyweight amateur standout, Kye Brooks, who will be making his pro debut, Oktubre 14, 2017, at the Palenque de la Feria in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Also making an appearance on the card, is PRB’s unbeaten super-lightweight prospect, Blair “The Flair” Cobbs (6-0, 5 KOs), a southpaw from Philly, but who now resides in Las Vegas. Both fighters will have opponents TBA.
“After having success in the amateurs, I’m looking forward to making my pro debut with the Prince Ranch Boxing management team,” said a smiling Kye Brooks. “Greg Hannely is a great man, a trust-worthy person, who I know will get me the right fights while building my career. I just want to go out to Mexico and get a nice victory. In the near future, the boxing world will take notice of my career and what I’m doing in the ring.”
Blair Cobbs, who trains at the Prince Ranch Boxing facility with Brooks, is excited about returning to the ring. This will be Blair’s third fight of 2017.
“I’m happy to be fighting once again and I’m going to Mexico to do some destruction.” Blair Cobbs said. “I’ve been staying busy and I want to thank Greg Hannely for all his hard work and dedication. We have something special going on here at the Prince Ranch Boxing gym. We are making noise in the boxing world and soon enough, everyone will know who we are. I’m working extremely hard in the gym and the hard work will show come fight night.”
Kanhi world champion, Clarence “Bones” Adams, who trains both Cobbs and Brooks, gives his thoughts on his fighters.
“Kye is a very strong puncher and I see him doing a lot of damage early in his career.” stated Bones Adams. “Blair is whooping everyone in the gym. I know he’s going to make a statement in this next fight. Both are great kids who believe in themselves and they certainly have bright futures in boxing.”

Burns created history as Scotland’s first ever three-weight king and the Coatbridge star is confident that a win in Manchester would put him back at the top table and in the running for a 14th World title fight in 2018 to continue his remarkable journey in boxing.
“I look at every fight as a must-win fight,” said Burns. “The incentive that has been put in front of us with the possibility of challenging for the World title again, I need to make sure that I go out and win this which I am confident of doing.”

Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) dethroned defending champion Stiverne in January 2015 via unanimous decision in what was the promising challenger’s toughest fight to date. After Wilder vs. Stiverne I, Stiverne was hospitalized at University Medical Center in Las Vegas for severe dehydration and muscle damage, which he claimed affected his performance in his first title defense. Stiverne bounced back with a win over Derric Rossy and has been advocating for a rematch since.
“Stiverne asked for it, so he’s going to get it,” Wilder miingon. “Whatever happens happens. Ask and you shall receive. I’m relieved to be getting my mandatory out of the way. At least now I won’t have to deal with that down the road.
“In the first fight, I broke my hand in the third round, and I still dominated. That was a lot of the reason why it went the distance. This time it’s a different day, different time and different fight. This time it won’t end well for him.
“Despite all of these obstacles that are thrown in my path, it still will not stop me from reaching my ultimate goal, which is to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.”
Stiverne replaces Luis Ortiz, who was pulled from the fight by the WBC sa Miyerkules after he failed a VADA anti-doping test.
“Stiverne will pay for Luis Ortiz screwing up,” Wilder concluded.
Stiverne was in camp preparing to fight Dominic Breazeale in a heavyweight attraction on the Nov. 4 undercard. Now the Haitian-born Las Vegas resident gets a shot at winning back the heavyweight crown he first won with a knockout of Chris Arreola in 2014.

Featherweight prospect Toka Kahn-Clary To headline his first show Oct. 19 in Atlanta

Providence, RI (Oktubre 5, 2017) – Featherweight prospect Toka “T Nice” Kahn-Clary (22-1, 15 KOs) will headline his fist show Sabado sa gabii, Oktubre 19 at Georgia Freight Depot in Atlanta, promoted by Hall-of-Famer Evander Holyfield‘s Real Deal Sports & Management, in a 10-round bout against Braulio “Ang Kid” Rodriguez for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Continental Americas featherweight title.
The once-beaten, Liberia-born Kahn-Clary, away gikan sa Providence (RI). is coming off an impressive eight-round unanimous decision this past June against Angel Luna (11-2-1) in Louisville.
“I very happy about fighting in my first main event,” the popular 25-year-old Kahn-Clary said. “I’m going to put on a show to let everybody know who I am. Kahn-Clary was a decorated amateur boxer, compiling an outstanding 131-11 record and collecting numerous medals at national tournaments, highlighted by him capturing a gold medal at the 2010 U.S. National Golden Globes Championships. He was also a silver medalist at the 2009 National Golden Gloves Championships and 2011 U.S. National Championships, in addition to being bronze medalist at the 2012 U.S. Nationals Championships.
Rodriguez (19-2, 17 KOs), who was the WBC super featherweight champion two years ago, is a heavy-handed, battle-tested Dominican. He will be fighting in the United States for the first time as a professional.
“He’s a tough kid who, Akong hunahuna, should be 20-1 because I watched his last fight and he should have gotten the decision (LSDEC8 to 12-0-1 Alberto Mercado in Puerto Rico),” Kahn-Clary noted. “He’s very awkward and fights in spurts. I need to be smart and use my experience.”
Kahn-Clary vs. Rodriguez, is somewhat of a crossroads fight with career-critical future implications for both fighters with the winner advancing to the next level, while the loser could become a permanent opponent.

“This is the big fight for Toka,” his advisor Seth DeRobbio explained. “I think it’ll be a good fight. His opponent is a big puncher with 17 knockout sa 19 daog. Toka has an opportunity to showcase his talents in a main event for the first time. Stopping a guy like this who has never been knocked out can be huge for Toka.

“I was upset that the fight was pushed back only because my weight was on point,” Kahn-Clary admitted,” but fighters need to adjust in and out of the ring and everything is good. Some good came out of it, bisan. I found more video of my opponent to watch, and additional training and sparring helps, usab.”
“The postponement actually helps us,” DeRobbio added. “It gives us three additional weeks to train to prepare for the biggest fight of Toka’s life. At this stage of his career every fight for Toka from here on out will be his biggest fight of his career.”

“COPA COMBATE” will assemble a collection of the most fearsome stars in MMA’s bantamweight (135 libra) division, hailing from the U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, and Peru, and will see them battle in La Jaula, the Combate Americas competition cage, over the course of three tournament stages – quarterfinal, semifinal and championship – before the eventual winner is crowned.

The event marks the first time in history that fighters will represent their respective countries on a quest to win the inaugural ‘Copa.’

Joining the previously announced Juan "Sexy Sexy" Castaneda (14-2) sa Mankato, Gikan sa. in the tournament field, will be the highest ranked bantamweight fighters in their respective countries:

Filling the eighth spot in the tournament field will be wild card entry, Ricky "Ang Gallero" Palacios (9-1) sa Misyon, Texas.

Palacios, a 30-year-old knockout artist, is riding a six-fight win streak, and is tied with Castaneda for the most wins – six – held under the Combate Americas promotional umbrella. In his last two starts, Palacios earned decisions over UFC veterans Sa Roma Salazar ug Chris Avila, sa tinagsa.

The eight competitors will be separated into four tournament brackets, with the top four fighters given seeded positions based on their worldwide rankings.

In his last match, Douglin lost on a TKO to Benavidez after winning three straight bouts by stoppage.
“I’ve taken a lot of fights on short notice and that’s hurt me in the past, but I’ve had ample time and a great training camp to prepare for this fight,” said Douglin. “I think Dirrell has a problem with guys who aren’t afraid of him and who will actually give him a fight. With my style and determination, I’m going to bring a lot more than he’s expecting. I’m going to bring it for 10 rounds and I know I’ll have my arm raised at the end of the day.”
Jamontay Clark (12-0, 7 KOs) ug Ivan Golub (13-1, 11 KOs) will meet in an eight-round welterweight bout that serves as a rematch of their exciting Hunyo 30showdown which ended with Clark winning a unanimous decision.
The 23-year-old Clark of Cincinnati, Ohio is looking to remain unbeaten and pick up his third victory of the year, while the 28-year-old Golub, who was born in Ukraine and now lives in Brooklyn, wants to hand Clark the first loss of his career and erase what he believes was a bad decision in their first fight. Coming into the first fight between the two southpaw welterweight prospects, Golub had stopped seven straight opponents.

“Murat Gassiev is a strong dynamic fighter, but he’s not without flaws,” miingon Wlodarczyk. “He beat Denis Lebedev in Moscow, and I have to respect that, but I’m working hard with my trainer to catch Gassiev with something that he will not be prepared for. They say he hits hard, but I hit harder.
“When there’s nothing to lose, I’m always the better fighter. Don’t be surprised if Gassiev is on the defensive from the beginning. This is my first time fighting in front of the great Polish fans in New Jersey and New York and I’m going to give them something to remember.”
Wlodarczyk was unable to get revenge for his last defeat in a world title bout against Grigory Drozd after losing in 2014 and suffering an injury before their 2015 rematch. Wlodarczyk earned a 2016 title shot against Beibut Shumenov before Shumenov withdrew from their match with an injury. Kinatibuk-an ,Wlodarczyk has won four contests in a row leading intoOktubre 21.
