Naast de oude amateur-boksen supporter, acteur / zanger Frank Stallone, samen met de Godmother van amateur-boksen, Melanie Ley, het bijwonen van verleden en heden boksers en trainers opgenomen Mickey Bey, Alex Ramos, Maureen Shea, Ronnie Essett, Paul Banks, Jorge Hawley, de Fabri, Frank Vassar, Don Deverges, Michael en Anna Keopuhiwa, Zachary Padilla, Lenny Gargaliano, Tony Lesbeur, Felix Nance, Boortorenen Vince Hudson, Rudy Garza, Justine Fortune, Alan Santana, Willie Tubbs, Randy Crippen, Alan Santana, Jacquie Richardson, Steven Stokes, Manny Salcido, Jason en Jeremy Williams, Mike Simms, Jeff Bumpus, huidige Team USA zwaargewicht Richard Torres (Tulare, ZOALS), en 2018 Jeugd Wereldkampioen en Los Angeles lokale Iyana Verduzco. 1984 Olympisch gouden medaillewinnaar Henry Tilman was ook aanwezig en geregistreerd als een nieuwe Alumni Association.

COMBATE AMERICAS ANNOUNCES AMANDA SERRANO VS. ERENDIRA ORDOÑEZ AS NEW MAIN EVENT ON SATURDAY, Oktober. 13

NEW YORK - oktober 9, 2018 – Combate Americas today announced that the scheduled flyweight (125 pond) showdown between six-division world boxing champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (0-0-1), and former Mexican national kickboxing champion Erendira “Aketzaly” Ordoñez (2-1), has been elevated to main event status for the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) extravaganza at the AVA Amphitheater at Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Ariz., USA on Saturday, Oktober. 13.
The previously announced bantamweight (135 pond) main event tussen Erik “El Goyito” Perez of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico en John "Sexi Mexi" Castaneda van Mankato, Uit., VS, has been postponed due to a staph infection suffered by Castaneda.
The stacked, nine-bout Combate Americas event streams live in its entirety in English in the U.S. and Canada on DAZN (10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT), and the three-bout main card airs live on television in Spanish on both Univision (12 a.m. ET / PT) and Univision Deportes Network (UDN) (12 a.m. EN / 21.00 uur. PT).
A previously announced, featured bantamweight contest between seasoned star Anthony "El Toro" Birchak (12-6) of Tucson and rising star Adam “The American Bully” Martinez (5-1) van Colorado Springs, Colo., USA will serve as the new co-main event.
Also announced today was a featured welterweight (170 pond) matchup between hard-hitting Fernando Gonzalez Trevino (3-1) van San Jose, Calif., USA via Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico and battle-tested David Michaud(13-4) van Phoenix, Ariz., USA via Sioux Falls, S.D., VS, as well as a lightweight (155 pond) preliminary bout card matchup between professional debut opponents Levi Escobar (0-0) of Tucson and Andrew Valentin (0-0) van Tampa, Fla., VS.
Born in Carolina, Puerto Rico and fighting out of Brooklyn, N.Y.. the 29-year-old Serrano will make her second-career MMA star on the heels of her latest feat in the boxing ring – capturing the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Junior Welterweight Championship with a unanimous decision win over Yamila Esther Reynoso of Argentina on September 8.
Daarbij, Serrano joined Manny Pacquiao en Oscar De La Hoya as the only boxers in history to capture six world titles in six different weight classes.
The 22-year-old Ordoñez of Mexico City is a three-time San Shou-style kickboxing gold medalist, who holds a professional kickboxing record of 2-2, in addition to her MMA experience.

Philadelphia, PA (Oktober 8, 2018) – This past Saturday night, Darman Rock remained perfect by stopping Pedro Julio Rodriguez in round four of a scheduled eight-round heavyweight fight that headlined a seven-bout card at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
The action-packed card was promoted by Hard Hitting Promotions.

Rock focused on the body early-on. In de vierde ronde, Rock landed a hard right to the body, and left hook that sent Rodriguez to the canvas. Rodriguez got to his knees, and that was it as he took the ten-count at 27 seconden.
Rock, 275.5 lbs of Philadelphia is now 13-0 met acht knockouts. Rodriguez of Miami falls to 23-6.
Goed uitziend vooruitzicht Jeremy Cuevas won a six-round unanimous decision over Jerome Rodriguez in a lightweight bout.
Cuevas was cut from around his left eye in the third round from an accidental headbutt. In was the right eye of Rodriguez that started leaking blood in the same round. Cuevas started putting his dazzling combinations together, but Rodriguez showed a good chin.
This was a solid learning experience for the 22 year-old Cuevas, as he fought an experienced foe and worked through adversity by having the cut.

Marcos Suarez and Israel Suarez battled to a four-round majority draw in a lightweight clash.
In ronde één, Marcos Suarez suffered a cut on his forehead.
Marcos Suarez took a card 40-36 while that was overruled by two even cards at 38-38.
Marcos Suarez, 133.3 lbs of Bronx, NY is 5-0-2. Israël Suarez, 134.5 lbs of Luquillo, PR is 4-6-3.

2018 Eastern Elite Qualifier & Regionale Open Championships heeft grootste opkomst in USA Boxing Geschiedenis

| CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Oktober. 8, 2018) — De 2018 Eastern Elite Qualifier & Regionale Open Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn. zal beginnen vanavond met de grootste opkomst in de Verenigde Staten Boxing nationale toernooi geschiedenis.
Na het inchecken en algemene weging, een totaal van 834 boksers en 550 boxers zal deelnemen aan de wekenlange nationale toernooi op de Chattanooga Convention Center.
“We hebben gezien onze nationale toernooien voortdurend groeien elk evenement,” verklaarde USA Boxing uitvoerend directeur Mike McAtee. “Sinds 2017, USA Boxing is het verstrekken van extra kansen met onze regionale kwalificatietoernooien voor alle boksers, oud 8-40, te stappen op het nationale podium en de doos van de beste in de natie.”
Dit markeert het tweede jaar de Oost-Elite Qualifier & Regionale Open werd gehouden in Chattanooga, die in totaal zag 645 boksers en 307 coaches deelnemen vorig jaar. De eerste regionale kwalificatietoernooi, de 2017 Western Elite Qualifier & Regionale Open in Albuquerque, N.M., had 302 boksers en 102 coaches en de 2018 editie had 719 boksers en 482 coaches wonen.

SAINT CHARLES, ZOALS (Oktober 5, 2019) – Na Billy Joe Saunders (26-0, 12 KO) tested positive for the banned substance, Oxilofrine, a powerful stimulant from the amphetamine family, his WBO middleweight world title fight with Demetrius Andrade (25-0, 16 KO) became in jeopardy.
Since the news broke last week, more test samples have been collected from both boxers by VADA(Voluntary Anti-Doping Association). Victor Conte, an outspoken anti-doping advocate, provides his opinion on what may come next in this saga of the defamed WBO world champion.
“Bottom line is this, we’re just a few days away from the hearing, and boxing fans will get the opportunity to find out if this going to be a historic decision in the best interest of boxing, which means that they (Massachusetts State Athletic Commission) will uphold this positive drug test and rule in favor of Andrade. Both fighters signed the VADA enrollment contract. They received the prohibited substances list when they signed it. They both agreed to be tested at all times for the stimulant Oxilofrine. Zo, BJ Saunders, or his promoters, or anyone else can’t come back and say he didn’t know about this prohibited substance. Dkp DON KING & BERMANE STIVERNE FILE SUIT AGAINST ALEXANDER POVETKIN & WORLD OF BOXING IN COURT OF ARBITRATION FOR SPORT
Deerfield Beach, FL (Oktober 4, 2018)—Hall of Fame boxing promoter Don King and heavyweight contender Bermane Stiverne hoped to settle things in the ring in Yekaterinburg, Russia with former Olympic gold medalist Alexander Povetkin on Dec. 17, 2016.
Stiverne never got the opportunity in the WBC heavyweight eliminator that morning, when WBC officials announced Povetkin had tested positive for the illegal substance ostarine and the WBC pulled the sanctioning and the fight was cancelled.
King and Don King Productions and Stiverne will now settle things in court as they have filed suit for $2 million in the Court of Arbitration for Sport against Alexander Povetkin and the World of Boxing.
Don King Productions and the World of Boxing came to an agreement on Nov. 6, 2016 for the WBC sanctioned fight between Stiverne and Povetkin scheduled for Dec. 17, 2016 with the winner facing Deontay Wilder.
Both fighters were to receive purses of $1,424,250 and the winner of the fight would have earned an additional $316,500. It was the second failed drug test by Povetkin in a seven-month period.
Stiverne hopes to return to the ring to fight for the world title again.
“Povetkin and Ryabinsky can’t play by the rules of the WBC and VADA,” said King, “and they denied Bermane the opportunity of a lifetime to become heavyweight champion. All the hard work leading up to the fight and then waking up the morning of the fight in Russia and being told that there wouldn’t be a fight is devastating.”
