MULVANE, Kansas (Marzo 20, 2017) –– 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Nico Hernandez will join an elite group questo Sabato night as he makes his professional debut in the “KO notte Boxing: History Begins” evento principale, aerazione (9 p.m. E / 6 p.m. PT) on CBS Sports Network live from Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas.

In his six-round bout against upset-minded Las Vegas (NV) peso mosca Patrick Gutierrez (0-2), Wichita-native Hernandez will become only the fourth United States Olympic medalist in the last 40 years to make his pro debut at home in a nationally televised main event.
The other three members of this special quartet, all Olympic gold medalists and pro debut winners, include Hall of Famer “Zucchero” Ray Leonard (Febbraio. 5, 1977, in Baltimore, MD, campione del mondo due volte Mark Breland and world title challenger Paul “Super Fly” Gonzales.
“It’s a great feeling,” the 21-year-old Hernandez said from training camp. “I am feeling some pressure but, once I’m in the ring, everything goes away. Six rounds do give me more time to work on my opponent and do more damage.”
